Firstly, the communication and instructions regarding the property were absolutely superb, professional and most importantly human in nature. The location is indescribable, though my stay was brief in all in awe of location. The accommodations were fantastic, large house, beautiful views, and plenty of privacy from my own company and others within the compound. Nature lovers beware or will be hard to leave this location. In a 10 point scale this is a 13, even with some inclement weather the morning of departure, i felt safe and secure even with some high winds and very heavy rain. Beautiful, isolated, scenic, accessible, adventure, location location location.

Overall we loved our stay. The views from the cabin are breath taking! You will not be disappointed with the master suit. It was very clean and the cabin itself was maintained well. Only downside was the wasp that were on the very top level. Owners are very helpful and were easy to get in touch with, they brought us several cans of spray to assist with the wasp. If you have toddlers I would recommend one of their other fabulous one-story cabins. Stairs are very step. We will be back on our next cabin trip.

The views are so picturesque and almost unreal! The house is also very comfortable and comes with everything you'll need for a great get a way. The drive to the cabin is a little long, but the place is very secluded and perfect for escaping the daily grind. Truly a unique place to make great family memories!

The views are amazing. We went in May and got to see the spring flowers and a wonderful assortment of birds from Indigo Buntings to hawks. In the evening we would watch the bats chase the moths.

Our stay at Phoenix Rising was absolutely incredible. We booked it for Fathers Day weekend, for 5 adults. The drive up the mountain was breathtaking! I would highly suggest planning on reaching this destination during daylight if you’ve never made the drive before. But once you’ve made it and know what to expect, you can truly relax and enjoy the scenery. Our breath was taken away as we pulled up to the summit. When they say 360 degree views, that is an understatement! We we in complete awe! I can’t wait to stay again during the fall, to see the changing colors of the leaves! The building itself is a sight to behold, as it stands majesticly atop the mountain. I can’t say enough about how clean, welcoming and cozy it was!I can’t than the host enough for sharing this experience with us! We will absolutely book again!

My goodness what a beautiful experience! We were celebrating our 29 wedding anniversary. And this cabin did not disappoint! The views throughout the cabin were extraordinary. Yes, I was a nervous Nelly driving up and down the mountain, but my Honda Pilot handled it with ease. The hosts are fantastic and so responsive. Their communication was flawless. The cabin was so pretty, clean and had all the amenities that you can imagine in a remote location. I highly recommend this place and we will be coming back!

Absolutely stunning views! If you want quiet and tranquility this is the spot. This trip was in Nov, The 5 mile trip through the national forest showed its beautiful fall colors. The cabin does have some steep stairs inside, but are worth every step to the master bedroom where you feel like you’re in the sky even with the moon and can grab a star. The sunset and sunrise was beautiful with the 360 views. The pictures you see is what you get with this rental! The host was very accommodating as well!

We cannot say enough about this extraordinary property! Deeply healing and restorative getaway. Peaceful and serene surroundings doesn’t begin to cover it. Each of the different patios and seating areas outside provided spectacular views and even a variety of weather patterns. We were greeted by the most beautiful Double Rainbow upon arrival and felt like we were inside the pot of gold. (Pictures do not do justice to the real life views.) Highly recommend this property!

We loved the Phoenix Rising! The views are breath taking and the cabin is stunning! We wanted to be up in the mountain away from things to just enjoy a weekend away from the kiddos and we sure did get that! The drive in is a good ways back and it’s so beautiful! We highly recommend! Debbie and Andy were also very quick with response and helped if we ever needed anything! We will be back next year and booking a family trip too!

The Tower in the Clouds is BY FAR our favorite VRBO that we've ever rented. It's on the top of a peak and provides a beautiful 360 degree view of the mountains. This are of the state has very low light pollution, so the property is phenomenal for star gazing. In addition, we arrived during a period of heavy snow. Andy and Debbie stayed in constant communication with us about conditions and even sent extremely detailed directions with pin drops of spots to look out for in the snow. We got our vehicle stuck, and they contacted a local that helped us get out. All-in-all, our family regularly rents through VRBO and this property has been our absolute favorite as far as the house, the location, the owners' communication, everything. We can't say enough great things about this place.

Property was exactly as described. Especially about the type of vehicle needed to get to the property so make sure you read that part. You definitely need at least 8 inches of clearance. Parts of the drive up is bumpy but the reward is the view. Owners were amazing and quick to respond on any questions.

Overall the cabin is wonderful. It is cozy, the views are wonderful and its very quiet. However the stairs are very steep. This cabin has 2 livable areas on the second and third floor. The exterior stairs are well lit and plank construction with about a 10 inch per step rise. The interior stairs have about a 12 inch rise and the only light swith for the stairwell is at the top on the third floor. Would not recommend this cabin to older folks or anyone with a knee injury. You will have to carry all of yiur luggage and groceries up on flight at least. Be aware and enjoy it for what it has to offer.
