Stayed Aug 2, 2025Great cabin, clean, plenty of space for a family of 6. Had all the amenities that make this a “home away from home”. As others have stated in their reviews, the cabin is in a remote location, high up a mountain and you need to travel up a steep and windy road to get there. I would not recommend driving on this road when it is dark. Highly recommend it and would stay here again.

Stayed Jul 11, 2025Excellent property with a nice view. Clean and lots of furnishings. We had a restful time. I would have given 5 stars but we had a little mishaps. The management took care of it....maintenance guy was very helpful. Even the owner called expressing his help in the issue. Overall nice place. We would certainly come back.

Stayed Jun 28, 2025We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! The views were magnificent and very relaxing. The cabin has a fully stocked kitchen which made it easy while preparing our meals. The bedrooms were also fully stocked (no need to bring extra bedding). The property is located a good distance away from shopping, so it is best to bring your own provisions when first arriving. Also, take it easy on the mountain roads, as they are very windy and steep. The host was very easy to deal with and May was available at all times if we needed anything. I would stay at your beautiful cabin in the future without hesitation!

Stayed Mar 14, 2025We had the most wonderful time at this beautiful home! The views were absolutely stunning, and the neighborhood was so charming and peaceful—it felt like a hidden gem. The house itself had everything we needed for our family getaway, which made settling in a breeze. We even used Shipt to deliver groceries from Publix and Target, which was super convenient. Asheville was a joy to explore, but coming back to this cozy home each day was the cherry on top. The space was comfortable and inviting, and we loved that we could relax without worrying about missing any essentials. A highlight? Waking up to a light dusting of snow one morning—it added a magical touch to our trip! Our host was incredible—quick to respond to any questions and genuinely thoughtful throughout our stay. Thank you for creating such a welcoming retreat. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would love to return someday. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of serenity, comfort, and adventure, this is the place!

Stayed Feb 28, 2025Three couples stayed here for our first trip to Hatley Point ski area. The cabin is perfectly located to the ski mountain (you will need a car). The cabin was clean and well appointed. We cooked dinner and breakfast in the cabin and enjoyed the hot tub and games. The only noted is that the upstairs shower ran out of water quickly. We enjoyed it and will come again!

Stayed Feb 6, 2025The house is perfectly situated near Hatley pointe ski slopes with a 7 minute drive. We saw deer daily on our drive to ski! The view from the living area and outside porches are breathtaking in the morning as the sun rises and in the evening as the sun sets over the mountains. We had 7 adults in our group that all traveled to ski, and the home perfectly suited our needs. The pool table and hot tub capped off each evening perfectly. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked to accommodate cooking and serving a large group. The table is long with plenty of seating for us all for meals.I highly recommend this rental and we will definitely plan to stay here again in the future .

Stayed Jan 24, 2025We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful mountain cabin. Well appointed, comfortable and cozy perched on the mountain with wonderful views. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Close to the new Hatleys Point ski resort where we got to enjoy a day full of skiing followed by a relaxing time in the hot tub back at the cabin. Highly recommend!

Stayed Oct 3, 2024We booked the Cabin before we knew that the hurricane Helene would hit the area. I must point out that for the whole week before we arrived, Roy (owner) was in contact with us and helped us and brought us all the options. We decided that we did want to come, and it was the best decision we made. May gave us all the information and was in contact with us during our stay. The location is graet there is a magnificent view . I highly recommend visiting we definitely will visit again. Thank you Roy and May for a great time!

Stayed Aug 30, 2024The cabin was VERY clean and had so many little extras that made our weekend stay easier! The host was super fast to communicate and when my son left his wallet, they were gracious enough to get it back to us quickly. We loved being able to bring our dog and just a few houses up you are literally at the top of the mountain with the old ski lift parking lot! Super fun place to hang out. It is a good bit away from stores (as it says in the description) so plan accordingly! The pool table and hot tub were a fun bonus. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Stayed Aug 2, 2024The house was clean, in good neighborhood. But there was this very foul smell that was mostly coming from dishwasher. We turned it on before going to bed and in the middle of the night friends woke up and stayed up the rest of the night because of the foul odor. This was noticed in the top most floor bedroom where two twin beds are. Also there was a leak in the basement bathroom. On top of that the host charged my credit card without notifying me mentioning there was soap used in the hot tub and the oven door was broken. We were 8 grown-ups ladies who are aware of how to use Hot Tub ! Why would we use soap ! Host should have called right away! We were in the neighborhood when cleaners would have arrived! But they did not even tried to get in touch then but decided to notify on August 17th which is 13 days later after our stay that there was a damage and that they have charged my cc!

Stayed Jul 27, 2024This home was just beautiful with plenty of room for my family of 5. The huge chalet style windows provide a stunning view of the mountains. There is a picnic table and bench swing on the top deck to enjoy morning coffee and watch the birds and chipmunks. There is a lower deck with a hot tub and perfect view of the stars. Kitchen was well stocked. We grilled out one evening (propane grill on the side deck just outside the dining area) then played pool and board games until late at night. There are TVs in every room but we never turned them on. Located in Mars Hill area, we were about 30 minutes from Asheville and 30 minutes from Douglas Falls, two places we had on our agenda. Three things to note: 1) This property is part of a lodge community so you have neighbors close by (it was mostly quiet). 2) You have to drive up a very steep and windy road to get to the property. Four wheel drive would have been better than my minivan, but we made it. 3) There is a little market at the base of the property and a mini mart in the BP down the road, but these have limited selections. If you plan to cook your own meals, you'll have to make a grocery run 20 minutes away.
