Stayed Nov 22, 2025Our trip took an unexpected turn due to an unexpected death in the family and I contacted Jo and she was able to accept us a couple of days early.She meet us on our arrival, offered sincere condolences to my mother and gave us an overview of the property. As a result of the circumstances we didn't actually spend as much time in the cabin as we had originally intended to but it was the perfect place to escape to in the evening.We did notice an abundance of wildlife while coming and going, deer, turkeys, a crane and even a road runner (way cool). Hope to stay there again in the future and explore more of the property and lake.

Stayed Aug 17, 2025Beautifully done vrbo with great private views of the reservoir. The hostess, Jo was very friendly. We attended a convention in Oklahoma City at the convention center and it was not very far, maybe 20 minutes? We highly recommend this place

Stayed Apr 26, 2025The property did not disappoint, the listing was spot on. it is about a ten minute drive into the town of Shawnee, and about 35 minutes to OKC. You can visit sites and come back and relax on the front deck or down on the dock on the reservoir. We like to cook your own meals and the kitchen, small, has a two burner cooktop, micro/convection oven and a nice sized fridge. Made delicious breakfasts and dinners. Only thing missing would be a small laundry option if you have a long stay. One of the best features, heated bathroom floor, BAM. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Oct 22, 2024The lake was so pretty. You can walk to it and in it from the property. You can slide a kayak in from the property but a boat you would need to go to the ramp. There was some sand on the floor you could feel in bare feet when I first got in, but it’s a beach so it wasn’t a huge deal. I had trouble locking the door when I left but Jo was fast to respond to my texts. She lives on property and is right next door. She came over to introduce herself and go over a few things. Overall great stay. Would stay again.

Stayed Sep 27, 2024What a hidden gem! Perfect balance of clean, modern, well-furnished inside with beautiful, secluded outside.The cabin sits between 2 houses but you'll never know once you are inside.So many extras to just simply make your stay better. We didn't take advantage of the kayaks and quiet lake but will when we return. Jo is a great host and took care us perfectly! We will be back soon!
