Shagbark Hill | Hocking Hills, Hot Tub, Theater

Cabin was immaculate, well furnished, and a wonderful setting. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon!

This is the second time we stayed here. Very easy to book, quick response from staff, comfortable beds, great for couples, and has a ton of amenities. The only downfall this time was the heat was set on 45 and took awhile to heat up. For some reason the registers were shut as well. The dishwasher was also not unloaded from the previous guests. Those little things won't hinder us from staying again in this beautiful cabin.

The cabin was really nice and clean. Well decorated. The beds are very comfortable. The only issue we had was the coffee pot took forever to make a pot of coffee.

Great spot for a weekend in Hocking Hills. Centrally located, plenty of room but still feels cozy. There’s a bunch of great touches around the house that really enhance the stay. 10/10

The location was excellent, making it simple to reach all the main hiking spots and scenic areas. Everything seemed to be just 10-15 minutes away from the top attractions in Hocking Hills.The house was clean and well maintained. The kids enjoyed the theater in the evenings and the hot tub, while we appreciated the fireplace and the privacy of the wooded setting.Communication was straightforward, and the property was easy to find, though cell service was limited throughout the area. All the key details were provided ahead of time.

Only issue was we wish there were steps coming of the left side of the deck when you looked at the cabin. Some of our elderly

Loved loved loved the huge porch with a fireplace AND having so much porch furniture!!! We were even able to enjoy the day that rained all morning by sitting out there and visiting together. I like that the bedrooms had king sized beds.

As a new build it was so clean! Hot tub was sparkling, and it smelled like fresh-cut pine all over. It came with everything you need-- shampoo, soap, dish soap, paper towels, etc, which a lot of VRBO places don't provide. The outdoor space with the wrap around porch was the true star. So many rocking chairs! Also an outdoor sectional, table, porch swing, and even a fireplace on the main deck. We spent a lot of time out there visiting together! We will definitely want to return to this place.

Best beds I have ever slept on. Loved the porch with the fireplace, swing, rocking chairs, dining table and grill. It was the perfect spot to relax. We will definitely be back! The only thing we needed was a blender and k cup coffee maker. Luckily I brought my blender and there was coffee to use in the kitchen.

A hidden gem! Immaculately furnished, spotless, and surrounded by trees, with a lovely wrap-around porch. Very peaceful and an easy re-book for us in the future. Highly recommended!

It was overall a nice cabin like it They do not communicate well until the last minute I left the day early because going without power for 12 hours Internet was in and out all the food went bad was not reimbursed for that I was only reimbursed for one night because of leaving early which I am grateful for but I will never ever book with this cabin again on top of that couldn't even use a hot tub because it smelled like dead fish

We had a fantastic stay at Shagbark. Beautiful house with lots of space and great views. So close to Hocking State Park. We will definitely return.

Stayed with friends to explore Hocking Hills. Awesome “cabin” in a beautiful location. Set in the woods within 20 minutes of most “must sees” within the park. Everything you might need is provided. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the theater room. Our weather was perfect, but this would be a great place to hangout if it wasn’t. Would love to come back.

Amazing place! We loved the location. It exceeded our expectations! Very roomy. Decor was spectacular! Theater room was so comfortable. Hot tub was crystal clear and we enjoyed relaxing in it. We look forward to coming back to the area again and we will definitely stay here again! Thank you!

We were impressed with the house. Very roomy, great location. Our weather wasn't the best, but the hot tub made up for that. This house does not disappoint. Plenty of space. Beds were very comfortable. The deck was amazing. Very quiet area.

Loved this cabin. Everything was just as pictured. The location is great, close to hiking as well as town, yet still peaceful & secluded. We had a great weekend getaway for my birthday and look forward to returning in the future.

Loved staying here. Everything was brand new! The weather while we were there was terrible but the games and hot tub kept my family entertained. Everything was really nice. I'm already wanting to plan another stay in the summer!
