Named Serenity Escape Treehouse, this treehouse offers a serenity escape on the private 14+ acre Haven of Hope retreat near Little River Canyon National Preserve. Explore waterfalls, parks, shops, and restaurants. Relax by the fireplace with a cup of coffee and enjoy views through a canopy of trees. Deer and turkeys are spotted often near the creek! There are two easy walking trails near this Treehouse - each perfect for picnics on the ground and access to a swing-for-two in the woods! One trail leads to a rippling brook that runs through the property. Renew, refresh, and be restored!

Not long after you turn onto the private road (one-lane-only so descending/exiting vehicles should yield to incoming/ascending vehicles and back up until there is space to pass) that winds through the 14+ acre retreat called Haven of Hope, you will see Serenity Escape Treehouse on your right. You have a private driveway and parking area. 2 cars max. A smaller car can park directly underneath the treehouse. Don't block the main private road, because continuing on the private road, you will pass two walking trails - Rippling Brook Walking Trail on left and Lost and Found Walking Trail on right. You will then see Peaceful Hideaway Treehouse on your left (also available - sleeps 6), and Happy Glamper RV (also available - sleeps 2) and the homeowner's cabin is located at the end of the private road at the top of the mountain.

Beside the parking area, there are stairs leading up to the Treehouse entrance from parking. When you enter the Treehouse, you will know your peaceful retreat has begun as you are surrounded by that familiar knotty pine wood on each wall. From every window on each of the two stories, you will see refreshing views through a canopy of trees.

The primary bedroom on the main floor boasts beautiful window views and a thermostat-controlled electric fireplace, and there is a small Roku TV in the corner. There are 2 chairs in the room that may be added to the dining space when there are 6 guests. For the queen bed, there is a 12 memory foam mattress and new, quilted bedding for your rest and relaxation. An extra blanket, vacuum, portable high chair (if needed), and box fan can be found in the closet.

A bathroom is directly across the hall from the main bedroom with a full tub/shower combo and a double-sink vanity. There is a large frosted window to provide privacy but allow lots of daylight during the day. There is a stackable washer/dryer and ironing board with an iron available in the bathroom for your convenience.

Moving into the main living area, you will appreciate the sight of a leather sofa and loveseat, as well as another chair and ottoman. The coffee table is multi-functional and the top can be raised to table height if desired. There is plenty of room for your family to enjoy this space. There are board games, puzzles, books, and reading information about Lookout Mountain in Alabama. On cool mornings, you will enjoy the gas log fireplace that is thermostat-controlled. For movie nights in, there is a flat screen 55 HD Roku television, and highspeed Wi-Fi is available so you can stream your own favorite subscriptions.

Directly next to the living room area is the dining area. There is comfortable seating for up to six (2 additional chairs are kept in the primary bedroom). The bench at the farm table has additional storage as the top can be lifted.

From the dining area, look out through the glass-paned double doors to the covered balcony area. On the balcony, you will enjoy capturing scenes of nature from the height of the treehouse. Native plants and a variety of wildlife can be seen in the morning as you enjoy that first cup of coffee. Listen close for the footsteps of deer that run close to this Treehouse frequently.

Close to the Treehouse, you will notice a brick fire pit designed with your retreat in mind. Take the private road to the top of the hill (owner’s home away from home), and feel free to take some chopped firewood as needed so that your family can make s’more memories. Extendable roasters are located in a kitchen drawer for your convenience, and “Rim of the Canyon Café and General Store” is less than 2 miles from the property and has s’more supplies and lots of other goodies for your retreat! Near the fire pit is your Charcoal/wood-burning Campground-Style BBQ Grill with a metal bucket and lid to collect BBQ grill ashes. Also close to the fire pit, you will notice a double hammock for even more relaxing moments on your retreat, and there is a picnic table for your outdoor dining enjoyment.

Back in the Treehouse, you will find a well-equipped kitchen with a refrigerator (and ice maker), stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, blender, cooking pots, can opener, pans and utensils, dishes, drinking glasses, eating utensils, cooking spices, coffee mugs, and more. Our hope is that your retreat at the treehouse cabin will provide you with welcoming home-away-from-home vibes.

In the living area, there is a beautiful, wooden spiral staircase leading up to the loft bedroom. There is a small desk and office chair if a designated workspace is required, and Wi-Fi is available. There are two queen beds with 10 Dreamer, memory foam mattresses serve to help every guest rest well. There is also a cozy reading nook with a twin size, memory foam mattress, soft bedding, and a remote-controlled reading light. A half bathroom adjoins the loft bedroom, with a sink and toilet. Through the loft windows, be sure to check out the breathtaking views from even greater heights :)

Very peaceful! Enjoyed the host guide on recommending restaurants and places to see. We would have never known about Cherokee Rock Village. It ended up being our favorite. Enjoyed being able to cook a meal in the kitchen. Also the fans in the closets were a plus and the music on when we arrived. They were very good at communication and had the string lights on for us when we arrived late at night. We will be back! Thank you!

This cabin offers the best of both worlds: it is perfectly situated for exploring local attractions, yet so cozy and inviting that we were just as tempted to stay in and relax. The interior boasts a well-stocked kitchen and fast internet, making it easy to feel right at home. We were especially impressed by the clean, spacious bathrooms and the warm, cozy-at-home vibes throughout the space. Outside, the great outdoor areas provide a peaceful retreat for morning coffee or evening unwinding. Additionally, for EV drivers, the location is incredibly convenient to the ChargePoint station in Fort Payne. We can't wait to come back!

It was so clean and the beds were so comfy, which is a huge plus for me! Misti was so responsive and great to work with! I can’t say enough good things. We will definitely be back!!

We have never been to North Alabama and came here for a weekend getaway from the FL Panhandle. This treehouse experience didn't disappoint! The communication was top-notch, easy and professional. The home was spotless - both my husband and I, and our little doggie Seamor 🐕, enjoyed the comforts of home with a gorgeous wooded backdrop! I loved the local gifts and support for local non profits that were near to the Owner's hearts - made us feel like we were making a small impact, too! Make dinner reservations at Wildflower Cafe, go chasing waterfalls (thankfully it had just rained for 2 days before we got there so they were epic!) and enjoy a fire in your own backyard. Will recommend to all of our friends! Thanks for an incredible stay, made to feel like family!

My family and I had an amazing time staying in the treehouse. It is exactly what we were looking for when we planned a quick getaway. My 3 boys also had an amazing time with lots of adventures and memories made. The treehouse was very peaceful. I would recommend staying here if you’re looking to get away from a busy lifestyle! We made many memories that will last a long time. Thanks so much!

After we lugged all of our stuff in, we looked around at a very clean, cool looking cabin. The special treats like a couple of bags of coffee and the awesome coupon for The Hatter Cafe were really appreciated! Hatter was so good we went a second day for breakfast. We did great on choosing this location because it was close to the Little River Canyon. We hiked a lot. We would love to return during cooler weather to use the fire pit area. Great communication too, any question or concern was answered almost immediately. Great host!

I stayed a week for some rest and relaxation. The treehouse was clean and the owners had everything I needed (good books, crock pot, and puzzles 😉) for my trip. The goodies and extras left in the basket were excellent. Saw 4 deer right by the hammock and watched them for awhile. Misti is an absolute joy to deal with and this treehouse was just what I needed. I will be back ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This place is very nice and very close to one of the forestry roads we came to trail ride, and it was nice to pull off of the trail and pull right up to where we were staying. Everything was clean and as it should be. The outdoor lights were a very nice, and I just wish we had time to enjoy the fire pit!

We had another wonderful stay at Serenity EscapeTreehouse! This has become our home away from home! The space is always cozy, clean, and our hosts are always super responsive and and amazing. Everything was just as described, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the treehouse. The seclusion within the Haven of Hope property and the trees allows your mind to rest. David and Misti installed a brand new park style grill out back by the fire pit. I really enjoyed grilling ribeye steaks for my family. It's the ideal setting for that perfect family picnic♡ I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. The location is conveniently located close to beautiful waterfalls like Desoto and Little River NP. It is peaceful, safe and Overall, a great experience. my family and I will continue to stay in our home away from home.

Very clean with all the necessities needed for your away from HOME stay. Thankful they allowed pets so we could bring our beloved dog, Marley! We enjoyed all the sights of Fort Payne and surrounding towns, Mentone and Guntersville were also our favorites to visit . The parks and trails were our fun, fall adventure. The local town was definitely friendly. We look forward to looking into some of their other properties for the Spring! Till we see you again, thank you from, The Miles Family Dubberly Louisiana

And we fell in love. They are so awesome and how they put everything together the coffee, the cheese, the soap, the hatter café! Everything is just gorgeous. They have a hammock a grill and a fire pit which we were not able to use just because it was too dry and it could start a huge fire but when we come back, hopefully we will be able to enjoy the fire pit. This is the vacation you will never want to leave! And the lady who rents it out is so awesome and amazing answers any questions that you have she stays in touch to leep you up-to-date on everything that’s going on. I absolutely love this reserve, all the nature and the beauty it’s amazing

My husband, two grandsons and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Serenity Escape Treehouse. The description and pictures of the property were on point. The communication, check in and check out processes were all very easy. We all had such a wonderful time enjoying the great outdoors. The fire pit (roasting marshmallows) and the hammock were the favorite places for the boys. Inside the house we found everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We cooked meals there and found cookware and dishes were sufficient. We appreciated the welcome basket of goodies. The beds were very comfortable with good linens. The bath towels were thick and not worn. So, don't hesitate! STAY HERE!!!!

We had a great stay at this little cabin/ treehouse. It had great proximity to the hiking we came to do at DeSoto State Park, and was the perfect place to land at the end of each evening. All the thoughtful touches around amenities were so nice. The house had just enough room to spread out without being disconnected. We really enjoyed the outdoor space, and took advantage of some of the games in the living room. Easy communication with the booking manager, and no issues with the unit itself.
