Serene Hideaway with Views, 1 Mi to Hike & Ski!

We thoroughly enjoyed this home. Very peaceful and quiet, cooking supplies available are in good shape. Hiking was close by and got fantastic workout on 2 trails. Pool was a short drive but very relaxing. Would definitely recommend this home.

Beautiful view and so relaxing!

Excellent communication from the host, easy entry, well stocked kitchen and separate heat units in each bath and bedroom- gas fireplace indoor and outdoor gas fire unit along with amazing views made the stay super great as we visited Wintergreen to ski with the family. The cottage is well decorated and has plenty of space for six people.

Wifi was great

The location and views are great. The internet didn't work the entire time and they have a carpenter ant issue. The shower upstairs doesn’t work and the stairs are metal, winding stairs that are a tripping hazard. It was well stocked and reasonably clean. Very quiet but could use a curtain on the kitchen window between it and the neighbor's house.

Overall staying was ok, the house inside was relatively clean.The porch outside had a bunch of leaves and pollen still sitting there (see pictures) and we didn’t find any broom to clean it in the house.Not ideal when you have kids running around.The grill outside needs to be replaced: at this point it’s just rust sitting there. You don’t want to grill anything on that (see pictures).You will literally SINK in the mattress downstairs: my wife and I ended up sleeping on the couch our second night there.Everything else was ok.

The cottage has an amazing view from the back deck. The house is comfortable, cozy and has all the amenities for a getaway. I highly recommend the property.

Lovely stay in Shenandoah valley for a long weekend. The home was cozy and the perfect size for two couples. The view from the back deck was spectacular! We had a slight issue with gaining entry upon checkin but it was resolved quickly. Would definitely recommend and come back again!

I stayed here with a few friends for a girl's weekend and birthday getaway, and we absolutely loved the property. The deck was perfect for quiet moments reading, and the view is incomparable. There were thoughtful touches throughout the house, and it was clean and cozy. Highly recommend for those looking for a quiet weekend away.

wonderful view----comfortable furniture---great time!!

Perfect for up to 6 people comfortably, well equipped, amazing view from a unique location. We stayed 1 week in the summer and hiked on selected parts of the Appalachian Trail, both in the Washington National Forest (Blueridge Parkway) and the Shenandoah National Park (Skyline Drive). We only contacted the owners two times for specific questions and responded immediately. The market is located a few minutes from the cabin, although they offer limited options. Supermarkets are located about 30 mins away. The deck is ideal to relax with a fantastic view.

We had a wonderful getaway weekend in this beautiful property. Great space indoors and out! Close to great wineries and amazing scenic views. Thank you! We will be back!
