The property is a cool old (updated) cabin & has everything you need for a wonderful mountain stay. The fireflies were incredible & large yard for the kids to play kept them busy. I'd definitely stay here again.
I liked that the house was on a decent plot of land with a creek in the quite. The house gave a homie vibe like my grandparents house growing up.Now what I didnt like was the fact all the dishes were dirty, the floors hadnt be swept, trash was left behind from previous guest. Their are things that need to be worked on at the house. They need people to come check the house after its been cleaned because there was spit bottles and a bunch of trash left under the couch and tucked away in the couch.
We really enjoyed the house and the property. Kitchen was well stocked, but missing a few key items (as we like to cook on vacation). Couldn’t find a can opener or measuring cup, but I told the property manager so hopefully she will make these items available. Plenty of room for our 4 adults, 2 kids and 3 small dogs. Having one bathroom was a challenge at times, but we made it work. We would definitely stay here again. Beds were comfortable and water was hot!
We needed a medium size place for a couple nights while dropping our kids off at summer camp, and this VRBO worked well. It was just as advertised and the owner was easy to contact and work with. Thank you!
The property was great. We had everything we needed right there and was really good for my brother that is in a wheelchair. He had no problem getting ard in the house. We really enjoyed the front porch and the fire pit. We really enjoyed being together in your house. Didn't get to write in the book you have there because I had to take my husband to the hospital. He has health issues. Thank you so much for having places like this for people to enjoy. Thanks again.
We enjoyed the house, was concerned about the number of power strips or tape on light switch in kitchen so you couldn’t turn on and off lights. The biggest concern was in the middle bedroom where it looked like a 50 year old plug was plugged into the middle of wall that ran the furnace
This was our first stay in Cashiers as we typically stay near my daughter at WCU in Cullowhee, but she was putting on a program at Panthertown Valley, so we decided to stay closer to the event and found this gem. The pictures looked too good to be true as I just assumed that this was an old house that someone had slapped some coats of paint on and called it a day. The pictures are a 100% representation of what you get and then some! The house was extremely clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the heat kept the house comfortable all over with no drafts or cold spots. Wireless internet was available and sufficient for streaming on our Roku Stick and a video conference call from my laptop. The TV and satellite TV was excellent and that couch! I could have slept on the couch it was so comfortable. Water pressure was excellent and plenty of hot water for our party of 3. Supplies and towels were plentiful, and thoughtful additions like k-cups for the Keurig and paper plates, cups, etc were even included. What struck me the most was how quiet and peaceful the stay was! When you are laying in the bed, it is so dramatically quiet that you can hear the ticking of the clock in the next room! I don't think we have ever slept that well. And seeing the wildlife each morning (deer and 5-10 turkey!) was an enjoyable treat. The property is very easy to get to, though Google Maps did confuse us at first as it sometimes showed two locations for that address for some reason (this property is not located right off of Hwy 64 just past the Ingles). We were able to identify the correct one by switching to the street view in Google Maps. We brought my low-slung Mustang as our Jeep was having a mechanical issue and I had zero issues getting to the property or on the driveway. Lots of great shopping, restaurants, and hiking near by as well as an easy trip to a nice, clean, and modern Ingles grocery store. This is our new stay for exploring the area around Cashiers. Thank you for a great experience!
