Emigrant, Montana
Currently we need to do a lot of repair work on the Cabin so it isn't availble to rent right now.
The Yellowstone Country Cabin is ideal for two to three people. It is nestled at the base of Crystal Cross Mountain in Paradise Valley, Montana. The cabin is only five minutes from the Yellowstone River for the fly fisherman, and close to wilderness land for hikers and hunters. We are 17 miles (or 20 minutes) from the North entrance (Gardiner, MT) to Yellowstone National Park.
Our A-framed cabin (500 square feet) is located on a forest service road with easy access. Everything is fresh and clean. The beautiful kitchenette has a 15 cubic ft. refrigerator with freezer, two-burner stove, coffeemaker, coffee grinder, toaster, toaster-oven, crock pot, microwave, dishes, utensils and pots and pans. There is also a medium size cooler (it's on top of the refrigerator) - you can take on your trips to Yellowstone. You can enjoy your meals in the quiet of the outdoors or inside at the corner dining booth, with mountain views of the Asbaroka mountain range with Electric Peak can be viewed through the windows and outside from the deck.
The sunroom has a couch/twin day bed, TV with Satellite, DVD/VCR, videos, and some games. The bathroom has a tub/shower, and vanity with towels, shampoo & conditioner provided. The loft bedroom has (1) king bed with linens and one large dresser.
Outside you will find a secluded area to grill (propane provided) your catch-of-the-day or warm up by the firepit (firewood and lighter fluid/matches all provided), and soak in all the splendid, towering mountain views.
If you like your privacy, then do not book here! The property owner will walk in as she pleases without knocking. Walk around the cabin asking why things are placed where they are. Move your stuff around. Ask the same questions 3+ times. Ask to go to her house. She stared at us as we were trying to eat dinner. Went in and out of the house 3 times. When we finally locked the door, she creeped through the windows. VERY, VERY uncomfortable.
Definitely enjoyed our stay at the cabin lots of wildlife around the cabin and even some mule deer in the front yard a couple days the location was perfect for us and exactly what we were looking for
If you want a quite place to stay with beautiful views then this is the place you are looking for! The cabin was comfy and cozy. Just sitting on the front deck and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Perfect spot for a couples retreat.
This was the perfect ending to an amazing 10 day adventure exploring Wyoming and Montana. Because the nearby entrance to Yellowstone NP was closed due to massive flooding in June, our host graciously offered a 100% refund with our reservation with just weeks away because in her words, Most people rent here because of the ability to easily tour Yellowstone. Instead of finding a new rental, we just changed our dates to be at the end of our journey. [We stayed at 4 different locations around the parks] When we arrived in Emigrant, we had already spent 3 days exploring Yellowstone from the West and South entrances so my son and I planned instead to just sit still and relax at the cabin. We discovered a ghost town in nearby resort town of Gardiner. And given our situation, it wasn't a bad thing. We chilled at the Yellowstone Hot Springs, with discounted rates, with lots of room in the pools to spread out and take in the breathtaking views. In the evening, we grilled steaks, played bocci ball and had a campfire. In retrospect, the stay ended up being one of the top highlights of our trip, and because of the cabin's private rural location, views, and well appointed yard, it fit our needs perfectly.
A lovely, quaint stay in an expansive setting. Great views, and easy access to such a beautiful area of Montana. And a lovely host, easy to communicate with.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here and it was so beautiful and absolutely worth it! Susan was also amazing and made sure we got there okay! Her communication was great and she was super helpful. My husband and I loved the views and the animals and birds you see. She had everything there we could have needed for a fun trip to Yellowstone!
I absolutely loved this cabin! It's very secluded with wildlife everywhere. The cabin is small but perfect for what we were looking for. It was just my wife and I and we just needed a home base to hang out between days at Yellowstone. The weather didn't cooperate so we didn't have a fire in the fire pit but we did have one evening where we did sit out there for about an hour. Absolutely stunning views and there were elk or deer outside the cabin almost all the time. Would definitely stay again.
remote locale and full of beautiful wildlife and scenery
Susan’s cabin was an amazing stay for me and my sons as we explored Yellowstone. Beautiful views, clean cabin, super easy check in and check out, and excellent communication.
Pretty fun experience nice little cozy cabin! Had mule deer coming right up next to the deck of cabin. Also it was pretty close to yellowstone national park. Had pans plates eating utincils etc. coffee filters napkins paper towels and a grill pretty much all you need to do some cooking. Very fun trip!
It was a nice cabin for two people and a great location.
