The location is priceless. Looking out over the valley every morning while drinking my coffee and at night as we relaxed after hiking, kayaking or golfing. Could not ask for a better place to reset!.
The long mountain view is breathtaking a quaint cozy cabin tucked away in a peaceful corner but still close enough to enjoy the area
I love that this is the last property on the road right on the cliff. Big picture window, screened in porch, and very secluded . I do wish the owner would fix the lamp lighting in the bedroom and add a tv in the bedroom. The wall plug that is beside the bed does not work. That wall plug is what the lamps were plugged into. But I will say , we definitely will rent again!!!
Lovely property and owners. Thank you so much hope to come back soon.
For how beautiful and quiet the area is, the cabin provided me comfort and ease of access to the region. Check in was extremely easy, and communication was quick with property owners. Highly recommended for anyone who come across this listing.
Spectacular view, peaceful and so very relaxing. We loved our weekend. Very clean and cozy cabin with everything we needed for a comfortable stay! We will go back!
Just perfect. The cabin is small so it feels really cozy. The bed linens were of nice quality. The TV had plenty of options. The view was great from the living room and the bedroom. Definitely want to return.
This was our fifth stay and it was just as magical as our first. From the view to the small towns near it is a definite must visit.
As with each previous visit, there is a sense of peace to be found in this place. From the initial drive up to the first glimpse of the view into the Shinbone Valley, everything about this place is peaceful and rejuvenating to the soul. If you enjoy quiet small towns rich in history, you can find that a short drive from the cabin in any direction. Local food options are all fantastic, and so welcoming that you genuinely feel at home. We will be back again and again.
This is our 2nd time at this beautiful property. When hubby decided he wanted to get away for a weekend trip, we both knew where we wanted to go!! Easy to reserve, great communication and an awesome stay!!!
When we first drove to the little cabin, the view took our breath away. From that moment, just like magic, the relaxation and peace wash over you. We felt right at home at cozy Billy Goat Cabin. Our getaway has ended, but a piece of our hearts remain.
Beautiful view the cabin was nice and cozy. We love the sunrise at the nice little breakfast table every morning. Only minor negative thing was the noise traffic from the highway but that was soon overlooked when you sit outside and just enjoy the view. We plan or hope to make it back sometime soon. All the people we meet around the 2 small towns were so nice to us we loved that.
We really enjoyed staying at this little cabin! Communication with the property manager was great. Great views off the mountain’s edge. Very convenient for hikers, being about midway between DeSoto and Cloudland Canyon.
This is our second time to stay here. The host is easy to work with and the home is so cozy and the view is amazing!
We wanted to take a long weekend for a short getaway!! This is an amazing place to rest and reset!!! Views are amazing and it is truly peaceful!!!
Loved it. Beautiful area. Saw several animals. Deer as we were leaving
Easy !!
My wife and I are both firefighters/paramedics, were are no stranger to trauma. In June, our 28 year old special needs son was placed in the hospital, we would spend the next month watching his health slowly decline until doctors told us, there was nothing they could do. We lost him on July 16th. My wife and I looked everywhere for a place to purge our heart, breathe and reset. We were always drawn back to this little cabins listing. We both felt this was the place. Pictures do not do this view justice, you are high on the mountailn, looking into a deep lush farm filled valley. The cabin is small, but felt just like home, it is very private and quiet, which was our perfect enviorment that was needed. The sun rising across the valley is a spectacle for which heaven beckons. At night the stars feel like they are right our your door. The mountain air cleasning your soul as mother nature intends. We saw lots of critters too right off the screened porch. A doe with her two little fawns, a grey fox, a racoon, a box turtle, and the hawks circling and riding the wind , so close you feel the wisps of their feathers. This cabin indeed feels like the gate to Heaven. We will be back!!!!!!!
This cabin is rustic, but comfortable. Overall it was clean, but the fridge could use a deep clean. My husband and I have stayed at about a dozen cabins on Lookout Mountain over the last 15 years, and this one had one of the best views. We loved that the cabin is tucked at the end of a quiet road, and is situated on the corner of a ridge, so the view is very interesting. There is a road coming up the mountain next to the cabin, so you will hear some vehicle noise. The yard and setting is just gorgeous. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I needed a few days to relax after an incredibly busy June and before my knee surgery. This cabin was perfect. The kitchen was nicely stocked, the bathroom, though tiny, was just right. The queen bed was very comfortable. But the view was the best! The cabin was close to some unique restaurants and places to explore. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Cozy cabin with breathtaking views! I love this rental and I will definitely be back!
Very clean, fantastic view and owners were great!
Nice visit. Small cabin but just right for two adults. Nice furnishings. Very comfortable bed. Kitchen small but well equipped. No oven but huge Toaster over. Last part of driveway a little rustic but Mustang handled it well, watch out for speed bumps on drive in/out. Overall we had a great visit. View is the big selling point. Nice little screened in porch. Would recommend this to any age couple.
