Great modern & efficient cabin! Would recommend & stay here again!!! Perfect place for couples or family and close to downtown Berkeley Springs. Our dogs loved the cabin & hiking in Berkeley Springs!

Interior very well done, feels spacious and cozy at the same time.

I enjoyed every peaceful moment I was there! Living near, and working in a big city is loud and stressful. This was just what the Dr. ordered! Beautiful home in a beautiful setting with great amenities. Loved the lower level deck and propane fire pit that was ready to use! My older dog had a few problems traversing the steps but he loved being there as well!!! Already booked another stay!

Enjoyed our stay. It was a nice weekend get away for the family. Modern but rustic cabin. Nice area with state park and small town. We intend on returning.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a small communication glitch in the beginning but the owner rectified it right away. The kids loved all the games available and never complained about being bored. I loved the beds which were extremely comfortable and the owners were very thoughtful with all the amenities; soaps, paper products, laundry supplies etc. We would definitely stay here again and I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Clean and comfortable, the hosts really pay attention to the little things that make the stay enjoyable (alexa, smart tv, keurig, several outlets). We went for the weekend and had a great time hiking and visiting the town. Claudio was extremely responsive when we asked general question. Would definitely stay here again.

Quiet and relatively secluded. Plenty of room and it was nicely appointed. The outside of the cabin needs some attention because of the woodpeckers. The window A/C units aren’t properly sealed against the window frames so insects are rampant at night. The cabin is a bit removed from the center of town but coming from an area where most conveniences are 15 minutes away once you familiarize yourself with the area you get used to the distances. Planning is essential.

The place is beautiful with great amenities. Beautiful outdoor area and very close to Cacapon State Park. Claudio was very easy to communicate with and the entire process was great.

Terrific experience for Mother's Day week! My son needed to work remotely during our time in Berkeley Springs, so we prioritized internet capability. Online access was fast and reliable. We also enjoyed the large, clean gas grill on the deck and firepit in the yard. We shopped at the farmer's market and grilled dinner; fun and delicious! The kitchen and bath had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, although my preference is for 100% cotton sheets. Although we didn't use them, the robes were a nice touch! The cabin is about 20 minutes from downtown Berkeley Springs but very close to awesome hiking in Cacapon State Park. We are already discussing when we want to return. I rate 10 out of 10!

The cabin was the perfect choice. It was a great environment for private visit with my 92 year old aging father. The cabin has everything we needed and a whole lot more. It was clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need. It had plenty of extras for quests of all ages.

This place is probably the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed. It was exactly as described and had plentiful dishes and cookware, that was nice, which is a huge plus. The host was very responsive to messages but to be honest, we did not need to reach out as everything was in great shape. The beds were all comfortable and again, that is a plus they were the best we’ve ever had at a rental. The area itself did not offer an abundance of events or things to do; however, if you’re just looking for a place to relax and chill, this is PERFECT!! We would definitely boom again if we visited the area.

We spent a wonderful weekend in Berkeley Springs with family, enjoying hiking and exploring both Berkeley Springs and Harpers Ferry. Our VRBO served as the perfect home base—comfortable, welcoming, and well-equipped for our stay. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked, making it easy to prepare breakfasts and lunches. One of our favorite features was the back deck with a gas fire pit, which was the perfect spot to enjoy quiet mornings and unwind together in the evenings. The owners were excellent hosts. They provided clear, detailed information about the home, amenities, and local attractions ahead of our trip, and they checked in both before and during our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly. We highly recommend this property and would gladly stay here again.

Perfect spot to get away and unwind

We really enjoyed our stay. Even though most places were closed due to the snow and ice we still enjoyed it. The cabin was cozy. Loved everything about it. Only down side was the tv in the main floor bedroom didn't connect to cable or internet. Would recommend this cabin to anyone. It's perfect and has everything you need.

My wife and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. It was such a peaceful getaway. We had everything we needed to cook ourselves som great meals and to enjoy each other's company. We really loved playing the classic arcade games and really enjoyed all of the fun things that were available within the cabin.

The cabin wad absolutely amazing. The amenities , the games, the rooms....eveything was great. We appreciated how well the pantry was stocked as well.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. I was super impressed with how clean the cabin was for being in the woods(I know how critters like to make/find homes in the winter). Great for families. Kids had a blast playing the video games and having their own space. Plenty of games to play too. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion in the bathroom was an added bonus. Cabin was warm and cozy for the winter weekend we stayed. We were even lucky enough to see deer in the back yard including an albino deer. This was a wonderful vacation rental that we hope to return to.

This was our third stay at Retreiver’s Retreat and it was once again a great experience. Everything was clean and as advertised. Our family enjoyed the new deck, firepit, grounds, and games. Thanks for another great visit!

We had a great stay at this house. The house was exactly as described. We appreciated how set up the kitchen was. We cook and we used the space. We had all the appliances, utensils, pots and pans we needed. The space was incredibly comfortable although I would have liked a couple of additional blankets on the couch. The town of Berkeley Springs was enjoyable to explore and the Cacapon Park was a fun day trip. We enjoyed talking to the State Park employee at the Nature Center. The Shawnee Farm Market is worth a stop too. The folks there were super nice. We hope to visit again and plan to stay in this home.

The property was beautiful! And more importantly, everything was clearly labeled and laid out for us: WiFi and TV instructions were clear, all cabinets were labeled for ease of access, and all amenities were placed within line of site.The furniture and beds were all of consistently high quality, and the property was very clean without cleaning sterile.We can't wait to book at this location again soon!

We had a great stay at the secluded cabin in the woods. We had a wonderful weekend and we would highly recommended the cabin. The full size video games brought me back to my childhood. The game cabinet is stocked full of family favorites. The WiFi was great. The big grill was big and got lots of use! The kitchen was equipped with everything that you would need. Two types of coffee makers as well—Kurig and drip. Bathrooms were nice as well, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, you name it, it was provided. Overall really nice stay in Berkeley Springs, WVA.

This cabin was clean and supplied everything that was needed! The kitchen was stocked and the bathroom supplied shampoo, conditioner, soap and bath towels. The beds were very comfortable! Our dogs loved running in the backyard and us humans enjoyed laying in the hammocks! I would stay here again!

We had a lovely stay at the cabin. Retriever's Retreat is a perfect name for it . It's only a few minutes away from everything ,in Berkeley Springs ,yet feels so quiet and secluded . We started most days out sitting on the deck in the morning listening to the birdsong, and ended them there evening as well. We did some hiking in Cacapon state park and meandered around Berkeley Springs and all the shops and sampled some beer at the two breweries there.The rainy day we had we ventured to the farmers market and got some delicious fresh asparagus, tomatoes strawberries,cheese and meat to make back at the cabin. Then just relaxed, read some and watched some movies . We also loved that we could bring our dog Oscar along .It would be great to come back and bring family and or another couple .

The host is nice and helpful. They responded to all messgaes in a timely manner. The description online was accurate about the property. The cabin was very cute and very very clean. Everything we needed was supplied. I would highly recommended staying here.

The house was very clean and neat. We had a great time there, it rained the first few days so our outdoor activities were limited but our last day we were able to enjoy the outdoor fire on the new deck and relax in the comfortable patio furniture. We also had a family of deer that were eating leaves very close to the house in the woods.

My wife and I were looking for a place like this to spend the weekend and have some quiet time away from the city. The house was very clean, our dogs loved the large backyard, and we enjoyed our stay! The host keeps a large supply of cookware/utensils and we had everything we needed to cook dinner. There is also a huge collection of board games which we had not played in a long time. It was a relaxing weekend, and we did not have any issues during our stay. Would highly recommend this place!

We had a great visit and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location was perfect for visits to Cacapon State Park and Berkeley Springs, although if you just want to hang out and relax, the cabin had everything you need for that. Would definitely book again!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this lovely property as we explored the Berkley Springs area. From the moment we parked the car and stepped onto the porch, we were hooked! Opening the door to find such a beautiful space sealed the deal!. The hosts supplied everything we needed and more.Our grandson was thrilled with the boardgames which was an added bonus. Easiest 5-star rating to give, you’ll agree once you’ve visited.

This is my 3rd time staying here it's been great each time and each time there is some new upgrade that has been done to the house. It's an amazing getaway with the best scenery definitely coming back.

We had a great two night stay. The host was super helpful. I had a last minute schedule issue that he graciously worked out. The cabin was very private, but close to some great hiking. Overall, a relaxing, wonderful time!

We’ve been annually vacationing at cabins or properties in the mountains or country for 6 years now, and this definitely was our favorite yet. It was an easy drive, without crazy steep winding mountain roads. The house was clean, modern, very tech,. And it’s the first place we didn’t need a WiFi password for beside our regular phone serve came in fine there

Everything exactly as described. Immaculate, with nice high tech features throughout (Alexa, PS4, Wii, electric fireplace), while still feeling rustic. Loved it!

The cabin was very well appointed. All linens were provided, as well as plenty of spare cleaning products for dishes and laundry. The interior of the cabin was beautiful and well laid out. Unfortunately we had mainly rain while in town, so the technology played a large part for us. The town of Berkely Springs is 20 minutes away and is fantastic! With or without kids along, this is a great place to stay!

I have stayed at several VRBOs that stated they had everything you need, but still needed, paper products, soap, sometimes bedding. This cabin really did have everything you needed down to the shampoo. The bedding was amazing. It was such a cozy cabin and a perfect weekend get away.

Great property, great location, abd lots of fun to be had in just the cabin.

The day I checked in I noticed that there was used towels in the bathroom, all of the beds either had the sheets thrown on the ground or looked like someone just slept in them. I messaged the host who seemed slightly unconcerned. Apparently they forgot to clean the cabin. They did send out a housekeeper the following morning but it interrupted our stay as even after we got back from the park she was still there cleaning. Safety wise, the sliding door leading out back had a broken lock. There was a piece of wood preventing the door from being able to slide fully open but being a female staying alone with my dog it was very concerning.

We had a great two night stay to break up a road trip to the coast. Very private location with lots of nice modern touches in the cabin itself. It was rainy for our stay so we couldn’t use the yard much altho the steepness may have limited it’s use either way. Very clean with great communication with easy check-in via the owner.
