Dunmore, West Virginia
Welcome to a cozy mountain retreat!
Nestled among the trees, this custom Jim Barna log home offers a peaceful park-like setting along a quaint one lane road. It has two bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a loft and can sleep up to 9 using the three provided cots in the loft. The living room wood stove can heat the top two floors and there is gas forced air and electric heat as well to help warm up after a day on the slopes. The house sits on almost 11 private, wooded acres surrounded on three sides by 15,000 acres of Seneca State Forest and State Game Lands.
Sit on the covered porch and listen to the rain, enjoy the outdoor, 4-person Jacuzzi, or relax by the fire pit with your family and friends.
-Three miles to the Greenbrier River and the Greenbrier River Trail. Pocahontas County is well known for fishing with lots of rivers and streams throughout the area. The Greenbrier River is also popular for canoeing, kayaking, and tubing.
-The Allegheny trail is minutes from the front door with plenty of nearby State and National forests and parks.
-12 miles to Cass scenic railroad for train enthusiasts or a scenic trip
-20 miles to Snowshoe Ski and Golf Resort.
-There is plenty to do here in Pocahontas County, you can google Pocahontas County website, I am not able to link it here. Hiking, rock climbing, biking, skiing, snowboarding, hunting, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, motorcycling, ATV trails; if it’s outdoors, it is here.

Me and my girl friends had a great time at this cabin while skiing/snowboarding at Snowshoe. It was only 35 minutes from the resort and the hot tub was perfect afterwards for our sore muscles. We loved the place!
Great
This was such a cute place for a little weekend trip! It’s out of the way and you can’t see a single soul on the property. Everything was as described and it was so comfortable. Truly a beautiful place to stay! Definitely a hidden gem ?
My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay here. Coffee with fresh morning air every day was a treat in itself. The way the mist rests at the tree line was serene. Getting to listen to the sounds of nature while having a drink in the hot tub was wonderful. We checked out the nearby radio Observatory and did the tour which was excellent. Nearby Marlinton has some great spots for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (and drinks!) We will 100% be back in the near future.
The stay was great and the property was excellent!!! I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and quiet place to stay. We were down for trout fishing as well as site seeing. Great place!!!
Besides being tucked away in the mountains on a road that didn't require four-wheel drive in the summer, the cabin was amazingly cute, access to a fire pit with firewood, and that we didn't have to haul our own toilet paper and paper towels and coffee, and the best thing the beds were amazing! Never have I slept in a place or in a hotel that I've rented and had this comfortable of beds thank you! If I were to suggest anything a toaster would be nice LOL we made a big breakfast but had no way to make toast. Also whoever cleaned the house maybe they could tidy up the tables and stuff outside on the deck. Other than that I would have definitely turned that dining room into a third bedroom maybe with bunk beds upstairs and an adult bedroom downstairs. We kept the dining room door shut the entire time. Overall it was amazing stay thank you!
