No issues. Would have loved to seen more wildlife but it was probably time of year. Will visit another time and see if we have better luck.
House is exactly as described. Feel like you are in the middle of no where with the convenience of town just a few minutes away.
Wow. This is a true mountain home experience and we felt like guests of dear, generous friends staying here. Instructions are clear, the hosts are kind and very responsive. The house was honestly so lovely it made us regret not planning a day to just stay “home”! The views around the property are gorgeous, the furniture incredible, the beds dreamy and the kitchen very well stocked with anything you could needp. Our 2WD minivan made the drive up fine in summer, but would recommend anyone unfamiliar with the property to take your first trip up during day-light hours, and heed the information regarding winter access. Thank you to the Cox family for sharing your incredible home!
House was clean and well maintained and the view was beautiful. Not a bad drive to RMNP which is where we spent most of our time. We would definitely go back.
The view of the mountains is spectacular! Property is secluded and we definitely recommend AWD for summer/fall months! The house is just beautiful and many necessary items are provided in the house. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and just relaxing! Hot tub is great! Everything was very easy during our stay as owners make sure to explain everything you need to know! Rocky Mt National Park is just a short distance away. We would highly recommend this property!
Beautiful view, great cabin. The whole family had fun. No issues everything went smoothly.
We had the best long weekend at this cabin. It’s just perfect. Already planning our next trip.
This property couldn't be more perfect! BOOK NOW! We were lucky enough to visit while the aspens were changing... absolutely beautiful! The home is lovely and stocked with everything you need. We watched the sunrise every morning during our stay from the hot tub! UGH, TAKE ME BACK. Thank you, thank you! Communication was clear and friendly. We'd love to come back one day!
The cabin was perfect in every way for our family. No complaints at all with the host, who is so kind, or the accommodations. We had everything we needed and more. The cleaning and other fees, though… Even with that, we will absolutely book another stay.
This property is as advertised, and Barney is an absolute pleasure. If you're looking in this area, this is the right place to stay. Loved it all the way around!
Can’t wait to go back! Host was very kind. Everything we needed for a long weekend getaway.
The house and property was everything that we were expecting and more. Loved the isolated location....so quiet and peaceful. We had never stayed in a log home before and was fascinated by the architecture and construction. Just getting the materials up there must have been a major challenge. Needless to say, the view was spectacular and especially nice in the late afternoon and evening when the sun was behind us, washing the mountains in different hues of orange and red just before sunset. We really hope we can stay there again in the future. The time went by way too fast!
Everything about this cabin was perfect - clean, cozy and comfortable, natural light, and amazing views. The communication was the owners was wonderful - and it's very clear they take great care and pride in their mountain cabin/home. Thank you Barney and Kathy for the privilege to stay here and create memories with our small family!
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful log cabin 25 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin is immaculate and well cared for and the hot tub was awesome every night looking up at the stars and listening to all the sounds of nature. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation property and we wish we could have stayed longer.
This property is beautiful. The views were amazing and it was very clean. We stayed in and made most of our meals, it was great to have such a nice kitchen that had all the appliances, pans, serving dishes etc that would be in your kitchen at home. Easy drive to the Rocky Mountains and Lake Granby.
Seclusion, Mountain Views, Native Flora & Fauna, Architecturally-Beautiful Vacation Home, anyone?!?! YES. All that and more is what our family of 5 experienced at this magical log home of Granby. We enjoyed the hot tub morning, noon and night (beneath the Milky Way of course). Take the close proximity of groceries/gas/shopping/dining and add the thoughtfully-procured amenities within the home, and you’ve just created your vacation of the year!
Such an amazing stay, pictures do not do this properly justice. Kitchen is fully stocked with anything you may need (spices, cookware, utensils…). Good location for getting into the RMNP Grand Lake entrance. Would definitely stay here again, 5 stars all around!
Came back for our 2nd stay at this lovely cabin because once just wasn't enough. If you're looking for peace, tranquility, and some serious r&r away from it all, look no further! Barney and Kathy are incredible, thoughtful hosts, and when we come back to visit, we'll be sure to come stay here again. Thank you!
