Secluded, Furnished, Log Home, Close To Many Adirondack Attractions.

Such a beautiful well maintained property! It was equipped with everything we needed (except food 😆) The beds were extremely comfortable, everything worked as it should, the fireplace was warm & inviting & with plenty of wood to keep those fires burning! The only problem was, you cannot use the dvd player. It is a dvd/vhs player & is too old to work with the newer tv. We brought our Roku so it didn't matter… We will definitely be back! House was in good condition. Host was responsive after I reached out. Linens could have been cleaner (pet hair on coverlet in the bedroom where I slept). Cobwebs on closet doors. Shower curtain and pillows needs to be replaced. Ample towels and paper products (paper towels and toilet paper).Would be nice if there was a tea kettle. Used a pot to heat water for tea. Pillows

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful place! I loved that it was dog-friendly, close to other family that I was visiting, had room to entertain family, and I even baked cookies with my grandchildren. Close to hiking and skiing trails. The woodstove was nice for ambiance. Mark was very responsive to any communications.

The hosts are very kind and responded to any concerns/questions I had. They take great care of this place and make the cabin feel like home! Awesome time. Dog had a great time watching the birds and squirrels at the feeder. Smores at the campfire. Cozy in the living room with the fireplace.

The cabin was very cozy and clean. We were even gifted a bottle of prosecco by the hosts for our 1 year wedding anniversary! the wood stove and big windows really made us feel at home. I did wish there were curtains for the sliding glass door for privacy and warmth, as all the other windows had curtains. Also, I understand this is a rural area, but it did make us a bit uneasy to know the cabin had been left unlocked before check-in.

Cabin was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed our stay. We were bummed that there's fire banned during our stay, so we couldnt use the firepit, but we had great time regardless

Rick and Sue’s cabin was a great base camp for doing all the things we had planned for our vacation-sightseeing and lots of hiking in the beautiful ADK mountains. The cabin suited our needs especially as our dog was welcome. Rick was responsive and friendly, and check in/out was super easy.

We had a great stay in Rick and Sue’s beautiful cabin in the woods. It’s very quiet and the river is only a 5min walk away .

Check in was the simplest I've ever encountered using any platform. The house was ready for us at arrival, well stocked with the necessities and comfortable. Even for a hot July weekend, the cabin stayed cool. Bathrooms were great, and having more than one shower was an added bonus for a group of 5. We used the firepit every night, and cooked all of our meals in the kitchen without any issues. It's a quiet neighborhood but only 15 minutes away from endless activities. Super huge bonus for being dog-friendly. We loved the place; don't hesitate to book.

Enjoyed the cabin. Nice size and nice quiet location. Loved using the fire pit. Appreciated that basics like toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, hand and dish soap, etc. were provided.

We enjoyed our time there, but the TV was a challenge to figure out how to get cable and live sports not on basic cable.

We originally booked for 3 nights, but loved it so much we extended our stay 2 extra nights. Host was flexible in working with us to negotiate pricing for the extra time. Very responsive, friendly and helpful! Perfect cozy cabin for our family of 5. Cleanliness could’ve been better but nothing major. Microwave handle was broken and legs on the couch were too, didn’t stop our family from having a great time though! Would 100% stay again!

Cabin is very pretty 2 bathrooms the queen bed was very comfortable we slept very well. Indoor wood burning stove works really well. We used it when lights went out a few hours. Owner came to greet us and to help with power outage. Had a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend this place close to some absolutely beautiful places and restaurants.

My boyfriend and I took my parents up to the ADK and stayed at this cabin for 3 nights. The cabin was clean, warm and welcoming. Rick and Sue were very responsive and answered all of our questions regarding local attractions and hikes, etc. We will absolutely be staying again!

We had a wonderful stay, the location & amenities of the cabin fit perfectly with what we had planned for the weekend. Our hosts provided a great space.

The area is nice with the cabin nestled into the woods. Plenty of firewood for the stove for the winter. This could be a 5-star cabin with a few changes.The kitchen was quite in disarray with many broken items. Microwave handle was broken off, sink sprayer handle was broken, and the faucet was not installed correctly so that the whole unit spun on top of the sink when you tried to reposition it. The hole for the sink was also cut too large, making it look very janky. The kitchen could also use a few more cooking dishes and simple stock items like butter and oil (things you need a little bit of and people don’t like to buy to use once) which would go along way for a more enjoyable stay.Overall, the place was clean and the stay pleasant.

Great quiet and beautiful location; even more beautiful with fresh powder snow and a good amount of it for a change. Quiet location but close to all that we wanted to do. Great downhill and backcountry skiing closeby. Anything we needed was at our fingertips at this fully stocked home. So cozy and comfy!

We stayed with our dog for a few days. The place is simple and neat. The neighborhood was quiet. We went skiing one day at Whiteface which is about a 25 minute drive because you have to drive so far into the residential development. The place doesn't have a lot of extras - like a big screen tv or bluetooth speaker but that wasn't an issue for us. The place was clean but not luxury. But, the price reflects that appropriately. We would stay here again.

Great location

Chalet is very cozy and is a great space for a family or friends gathering. Kitchen has all the implements you need and had good heating for cold weather. House is only 20 minutes away from Whiteface Mountain and 30 minutes to the Village of Lake Placid.

The cabin was very nice and as others have mentioned very well outfitted. We were able to relax in the quiet of the woods for the week.

If your looking for a quiet getaway, this is it. Close enough to Lake Placid to enjoy time in town but far enough to get away from the noise. We enjoyed fires (inside and outside) and walks around the neighborhood. I love the fact that the cabin is dog friendly.

We had a lovely restful week in this well-appointed cabin in the woods. The walls, floors, and even the ceilings are made of wood all assembled by a ream of excellent carpenters. The kitchen is highly functional and well-outfitted. The stove works very well. The living areas are very comfortable as are the bedrooms. We enjoyed the wood stove. The cabin is located at the end of a 100 foot / 30 meter driveway. and is surrounded by forest. We spent many nights sitting on the covered porch happily seeing the sky, stars and moon through the trees. It is about a ten minute drive into Au Sable Forks, the nearest town.

Cabin was perfect, second time renting, definitely will stay again! Thank you!

Broken down , uncared for dirty conditions

If you are looking for quiet and peaceful this is the place. Secluded and very relaxing area with more deer than people around. The cabin is spacious and clean, with basically everything you need. All appliances worked well. The fireplace is large and generously stocked with firewood. Full size bathroom with an extra bathroom in the basement that came in handy a few times. The beds were comfortable, and the ceiling fans in each bedroom was nice for air circulation at night. AC in the loft also helped when needed. The owners were extremely easy to work with and super friendly. Would be happy to return again.

We took our first vacation as a family of 3. The location was perfect for all of the places we wanted to go. We went to the silver lake bog and bluff, spent a day in Keene at the mountaineer, the Keene farmers market and playing in the Ausable River. Over all great house we will recommend all of our friends check it out!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location was great, quiet and secluded yet close to great hiking trails. The beds were really comfortable and it was plenty of space for our family of 6. We really liked having the extra bathroom. We also loved the fire pit and the deck.

The cabin location and space are so nice! The neighborhood is quiet and we felt very secluded most of the time. We used the firepit most nights when it wasn't raining, and the covered porch when it was. The space and wifi worked well for the trip (we worked remotely for part of the week). I do think some of the outdoor furniture needs some upgrading - those plastic Adirondack chairs are awful after a while. Overall, we were excited to book again for next year and start an annual tradition, but the price increase for next year shut down that idea pretty quickly...
