Secluded Cozy Cottage: Walk to Town, Private

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this quiet cabin with views of trees out all the windows. The kitchen is extremely well equipped which was great as we cooked all our meals in. The fireplace was warm and cozy. The cabin was very clean and all the appliances and toilet are new. Couch and bed were comfortable. We would stay here again. 😁

It's good only for 3 person not 6, there's one quinn and one full uncomfortable bed , sofa and furniture are way to old .

We really loved this cabin, lovely kitchen and two bedrooms and the couch in the living room was very comfortable! What I felt could be inproved is the little access road and driveway to the property, it begins as a somewhat paved road and ends in a gravel road, both are steep and traction on my wheels was tricky until you get used to it. If this were paved it would be a great help! Also, I looked for a Spirit property sign outside but didn't see one that distinctively identifies the property, so a sign that stands out more would help. We loved the peace and quiet, and the comfort of the cabin!

It’s very secluded

Everything about the cabin was excellent. But AFTER I paid, to complete the process, I was asked to sign an extensive rental agreement, provide THREE photos of my driver's liscence AND a selfie. If that sort of thing doesn't bother you then this is a great place to stay.

It was a place to stay. It had the basics. However, the heater didn’t quite make it to the rooms so we were cold each night. No wood stove was present. No dishwasher either. The house was to different from the photos. I know there was a statement saying to bad, but with how many things were different, it should warrant updated photos. The table was different, couches were different, carpet was different. Lights were different, no wood stove, no dishwasher. Oh, and the neighbors have a horse. Who doesn’t abide by the quiet hours. So at 3am each morning, we got to listen to the horse 5 feet from the window. Oh, and the deluxe package for 199 bucks. That was a joke. Maybe 60 bucks worth of cheap wine and candy. The “assorted” nuts were honey toasted almonds. The dozen roses were real, but the pedals on the bed were as fake as the listing. Total waste of money. We won’t be staying here again.

Was a cozy cottage

Loved the Mountain View and the outside sitting areas. Also like being just a short drive from town yet felt like we were in the woods with privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed. Did not see a hot tub? Was in the listing but we did not see one - but it wasn’t important to us.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is close to town which is nice but I didn't see the value. For what I paid, I feel ripped off. Everything was old and run down. All of the furniture was incredibly uncomfortable. The beds especially were terrible. I left a day early just to get a good nights sleep. Sad inventory of kitchen equipment, although they had decent pots/pans and coffee/espresso maker. My stay was during Christmas so I did appreciate the christmas tree. Other visitors should note the path up to the house is all cobble, extremely uneven and not very safe. One of us ended up with a sprained ankle which seemed of no concern to the rental agency.

This cabin was great! Clean, cozy and nestled among the trees. Hope to stay at it again soon.

Everything was great. Can not wait to go back. Very comfortable, scenic and quiet. Staff and owner was helpful abd amazing!

The cabin was secluded and private. Easy check in and check out. The cabin was clean and everything needed was there.

No cell phone reception when we arrived. Office was closed but suppose to be open. Office was hard to find. Had to ask neighbor real estate building for help. Then had to use the real estate network to call. Outside cabin property is extremely awkward for seniors and toddlers. It was not described in description. Not stable. Inside dark and dreary. Took a long time to figure out lighting. Shower door on far side was useless. Uncomfortable. Difficult to get the water warm. Too many pillows.

This was my second time staying here with my family and it was perfect. The cabin was well equipped and we didn't need to bring anything besides our clothes! I was able to cook all meals in the kitchen. The location was perfect and close to town but far enough away from noise to make a peaceful experience. Will go there again!

Reviewer Comments: Half of the road to the cabin was washed out just below the turn off from the main road which was impossible to see when arriving in the dark. The bed was comfortable. The shower nozzle was short but there was decent water pressure. There was no soap in the shower. Also no tissues anywhere we could find. Once the heater was turned on, the cabin was warm in the bedroom and bathroom. The firepllace doesn’t work. Vrbo gives you no advance notice that the rental management company for this cabin has a very unreasonable, one-sided, 9 page rental agreement that has to be signed after you’ve already committed and paid VRBO for use of the cabin. VRBO should make renters aware of this additional document prior to the commitment to rent, especially if you are committing after the cancellation date. Vrbo will not return your payment if you don’t want to sign the document with the rental management company (because of all the liability you’re signing up for). I called Vrbo about this. Customer service reps there were sympathetic but unwilling to return our payment. We signed the document to get the key. We were only there for a weekend wedding and didn’t spend much time there. We didn’t use the kitchen. Fortunately, nothing went wrong. Had we read this particular rental agreement before committing to Vrbo we would have stayed in a hotel. This rental management company controls a lot of properties in Idyllwild. The management employee who checked us in was very nice and efficient.

Unfortunately it was not walking distance to Iddylwild town as advertised

Beautiful property and very clean and comfortable home. We loved the spacious second-floor great room with large windows looking out into the trees and mountains. Both bedrooms open onto the large front deck where we enjoyed morning coffee. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful after some long days and we were very pleased with the good quality cooking ware and well-stocked kitchen. Definitely hope to come back again.

Nice and comfortable place surrounded by huge pine trees. The decor was a throw back to the 70s, but I kind of liked that. Nicely equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds.
