The waterfall was breathtaking! Quiet peaceful place to stay.
We had a great time! The cabin was cute and cozy. It was dry, so our private waterfall wasn't running. Views from the back deck was very cool with the hollow/canyon! One downside...bees! They were outside on the right side at the top of stairs. They were getting inside and buzzing around. Luckily we weren't stung.
Nicec cabin in the woods. Road to get there is an adventure all it's own.
Stay was serene and very enjoyable!!
We had a great time. Secluded and quiet. There are bats located in the metal roof outside. Make a little noise at night but you will be okay. Lol. Loved it and will be back again
Beautiful scenery location just wish big windows were washed/clean once a year
Me and my wife came here for our honeymoon. It was an amazing getaway for us to escape everything else and focus on each other. Cozy, secluded, and beautiful.
We stayed inside a lot due to rain and found it quite comfortable. Not to close to anything except nature which was fine with us. We sat outside on the porch and watched the rain and waterfall
We had a wonderful stay! Vrbo never sent any checkin information, but we called the number provided and got it figured out. The place was wonderful! The waterfall was so perfect and the accommodations were great. The place was very clean. Would definitely recommend! Definitely great to relax and unwind after hiking all day!
This little unassuming cabin in the woods was just what we needed. The area and waterfall were really peaceful. The high up areas in the cabin need a little dusting, otherwise a nice clean space to make our own for a few nights. You will need an all wheel drive vehicle to get up a few of those hills. We hope to come again this year!
It was a great place to stay. That being said, there is a challenging road... very steep. Frustrating that we had to travel 9 miles past the cabin to get key. Added an hour to our trip including waiting at the office and listening to welcome/instructions. Home needs structural repair under back porch soon. Erosion has left the supporting post in a precarious position. The view of the falls from the cabin is so cool! Wish there was a safe path over to it. The in-cabin spa is okay, but an outdoor hot tub would be way better. Nice to have toilet closet and sink upstairs in bedroom loft. Plenty of blankets and towels. Remember, don't drink the water, lol! I would recommend this spot for its privacy, quaintness, charm and warmth.
Had a good time would love to stay there again,
Cabin is great and isolated, end of the road literally. Please be aware that you will need drinking water and water for coffee and cooking. Also, the gravel road is pretty bumpy and winding with steep hills. My small AWD did great. The falls are only visible if it rains heavily but the the view is still beautiful.
You just can't beat having a waterfall in your backyard. This beautiful cabin is nestled up to a rock feature with lush greenery and no other place visible to add to the ambience. Very clean, excellent shower, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen although we brought already prepared food. We have every intention to come back to the Red River Gorge area for a longer stay and we will absolutely aim to get this cabin again.
The falls was barely there not like the picture, I would have appreciated the knowledge it was only during Spring it ran strong. The drive to the cabin also could have been more accurately described to have the option for a different vehicle. The cabin was beautiful once I was there.
The booking and check in process was seamless.. Reading previous reviews we expected this property to be away from town and thats what we wanted. The 1 lane gravel road had us thinking we got a bonus ride on a rollercoaster. Once we got in we didn't make many trips back out. We drove a Toyota Camry and made it fine but we kept a close eye on rain hitting the area. We were disappointed at the flow of the waterfall as we could only hear the water trickling somewhere in the grass. A hot tub would have been great to sat in on the porch listening to it. Previous reviews mentioned the cleanliness of the cabin and it was clean but could have been cleaner. With heavy dust build up on the fans and bird s*it down the windows, we have had cleaner cabins previously. We would stay again but would bring a different vehicle after traveling the road to the cabin.
Good
The property is located at the end of a gravel road. The road to get back to the cabin is over a mile, it is very narrow at points, it has a few hills and step turns. With the right car, it's the perfect cabin because it's located at the very end of the road with a flat driveway. There is one cabin within sight from the front door, but far enough away to still feel very secluded. It was about a 20 minute drive from the check in location. Google maps will not get you there, make sure to follow the directions they give you. The cabin was perfect and was everything we were looking for!! We would recommend staying here!
