Secluded Cabin Right on the Ellijay River minutes from Ellijay or Blue Ridge

This was our third trip to Great Waters. We’ve already reserved for the fall! Beautiful property, well equipped kitchen and comfortable furniture

We had a great time. Very nice cabin.

The cabin is more spacious than the pictures give. Everything was super clean and organized. The kitchen is well equipped (outside of a can opener - being your own!) and the appliances work great.We had a great stay despite the bad weather. We were able to dip our toes in the river and enjoy the hot tub between the rain spells. There are lots and lots of books and DVDs to keep busy indoor.

Perfect for a weekend getaway. It was nice to just sit and hear the sound of the river and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Cabin was very clean. The outdoors are beautifully landscaped. Cable was unreliable as there is not good internet service but there were plenty of other things to do. The cabin was stocked with books and movies.

It was really nice but too short! It rained but it didn’t hinder anything we wanted to do. We wish we would’ve brought fishing equipment though.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with Zen music playing and lamps lit in each room. Very welcoming! The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities one would need. We especially enjoyed the screen porch, sitting by the river and the hot tub. Close to conveniences and would definitely choose Great Waters again.

The cabin and location were excellent! And The sound of the river in the back yard was wonderful! The only downside was cell coverage was terrible and the wifi wasn't real strong. Which isn't always a bad thing. We enjoyed the stay....

The property was as advertised. Lovely location, quiet and peaceful. However, what was not noted unless I had missed it was that the entire home smelled of dog presence which made it very uncomfortable for my wife.It was very obvious walking into the property that one or more dogs had been there in the past and why this was not rectified is difficult to comprehend. Particularly, the furniture should have been replaced and the entire place sprayed or whatever to be done to fix the very apparent problem. If I were the owner of this beautiful property i would spend the money to fix the problem before rentingit again. Leaving it as is is not worth the rental. I believe I should be reimbursed for the inconvenience.

Beautiful cabin on the Toccoa River. Loved sitting on the back porch listening to the water.The kitchen is well stocked with a real coffee maker! Bedrooms and bathrooms are very comfortable. We liked the cabin so much that we scheduled a return triip before we even left.

Close to the river - wonderful property - highly recommend.

Everything about this place is exactly what we were looking for. It's not hours of gravel roads from civilization but it feels that way once you're there. We were able to sit by the fire and the river at the same time! I would book this cabin 1,00 more times :)

We had a great time in the house, we always love coming to the area! We loved being able to play and swim in the river behind the house, it was our kids favorite part! the views and drive to the house are so nice, we saw a ton of deer and seeing all the firefly’s at night was so fun, we loved exploring around. The only issue we had was the power went out twice the first time there was a bad storm and we were out of power for 5 hours, the second time it just randomly shut off, it was a beautiful day so I think it was just a fluke and it came on within the hour. It didn’t make or break our trip we still had a wonderful time! Loved this house and hope to come back again!

Loved the screened in porch overlooking the river. The hot tub was nice. There was a lot of rain during our stay. Sitting on the back porch and listening to the sounds of the river and rain were very relaxing. We saw deer and turkey on drives in and out of the property. Would definitely book again.

My husband and I spend the weekend here for my birthday. Cabin was spotless, comfortable and so quiet. The sound of the river was just what I needed to relax. Make sure to visit downtown Ellijay for great food and a variety of shops. Definitely want to return!

Wonderful place for rest and relaxation

The cabin and property exceeded our expectations. It is well equipped and the furnishings were extremely nice and comfortable. The location was private but conveniently located. We would like to stay there again sometime.

Tranquil City escape. Peaceful property with the sound of rushing water at all times. The firepit was terrific next to the river. The kids collected rocks from the river, and we also enjoyed the indoor fireplace. We stayed over Christmas. Our local family came for dinner and presets. The games and foosball table were great entertainment. The hot tub was relaxing, we have stressful jobs in major cities, and appreciate the restful activities. I'm going to rent this property again in the summer months. and foosball

Great cabin had a great time love staying here all around perfect trip

It was as an amazing 3-day stay. Relaxing, rejuvenating, and restorative! From the babbling creek to the red-head woodpecker, sitting on the porch in a rocking chair with a cup of coffee was my ideal vacay. Thank you!

This was overall a great stay..very easy check in and out process..and right on the river! Beautiful..

The property was easy to find, spotless, beautifully furnished. We found everything we needed. The owner was very helpful & nice. We especially enjoyed the rushing water sounds and roasting hot dogs & marshmallows on the fire pit. Best place we have ever stayed!

We loved the location of this wonderful log cabin. ‘‘Twas so easily accessible to the main highway and both Blue Ridge and Ellijay. What great little towns! The living room was comfortable and well appointed. The screened porch was wonderful, and the hot tub quite relaxing. We did wish the path to the hot tub was a bit safer. Just some flat concrete stones would work nicely. I am a nurse and I’m always thinking ‘ safety’. We loved the lay out of the cabin and its privacy, but I will say that the king size mattress was one of the hardest we’ve ever slept on. I think we would come back again if we could have the issues resolved that disappointed us . The first one was the dock. This cabin is advertised with a picture of a useable dock by the river, and the only one there is is a dilapidated structure cordoned off with yellow caution tape. We were looking forward to sitting there and couldn’t , nor could we climb on the steps to the river because the only place to hold onto was the questionable dock. Just remove it and that will eliminate further disappointments. Or at least don’t advertise it. Also, instructions to use the TV don’t match with the remote. Numerous calls were placed for help, but those went unanswered. Thank goodness we subscribe to a streaming service so we had TV, just not ‘live’. I know we would have loved the fire pit, but the yellow jackets got first dibs, and one sting was enough. Disappointments aside. We still loved the cabin and will return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Great Waters Cabin. Everything about it--the style of the cabin, the easy process of check-in and check-out, the furnishings--was inviting and welcoming. A genuine jewel vacation spot!

Best place we will rent it again!!!
