★ ADDITIONAL DETAILS ★
• We are available to assist you with all details of your stay, big or small. Please don’t hesitate to send us a message or give us a call.
• DO NOT flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet. PLEASE throw all other products in the trash can. The plumbing is all septic. These systems cannot drain like city sewer and will easily clog if paper towels, baby wipes, feminine products, etc. get in there.
• If you plan to enjoy an outdoor fire, you will need to bring your own firewood or collect wood from around the property. If there is wood on the property you are welcome to use it, however, we can’t guarantee that the pile will always be stocked. Please purchase firewood locally!
• If you plan to utilize the indoor fireplace, we encourage guests to bring a manufactured fire log (such as Duraflame or Enviro-Log). Please only use manufactured logs in the fireplace and do not leave any fires unattended.
• There is camera surveillance on the exterior of the property, facing the parking area and back doors for security purposes. Please do not tamper with these cameras.
• Please note that there are narrow, steep and winding roads with gravel to access the property. A four-wheel, all-wheel, or front-wheel drive vehicle is recommended to get up and down the mountain and driveway. The driveway is steep and requires some speed to get out of. There is parking on site for two to three vehicles, as well as overflow parking at the bottom of the mountain for any motorcycles, trailers, etc that do not feel comfortable coming up the mountain. This overflow parking has signs marking it as “The Pines Parking.” The overflow parking is located 0.5 miles from the cabin. The Pines Road is not serviced with snow removal during the winter months.
• You are in the woods away from it all. You may see bears, snakes, boars, mice, deer, spiders, insects and other exciting critters. We treat the cabin for pests quarterly to encourage these critters to stay outdoors.
• Please note this cabin is in a heavily wooded and rural area and occasionally weather conditions can cause power outages that are out of our control. We will do everything we can to promptly fix these issues, however, we are not responsible for outages due to these natural occurrences.
• Graham County does not offer trash pick up. We welcome guests to utilize the dump site daily that is just up the street. This helps avoid critters getting into the trash overnight.
★ POLICIES ★
• Check-in begins at 3 pm. Check-out is by 11 am. Please note that arriving early or departing late will result in additional charges of $50 per hour unless previously arranged. We are happy to accommodate early check-ins and/or late check-outs for your convenience when our schedule allows for it at no extra charge.
• No smoking inside the cabin (outside only, at least 20 feet from windows and doors). Please pick up and properly dispose of any cigarette butts.
• Pets are welcome with a one time $25 pet fee. Please let us know prior to your stay if you’ll be bringing a pet so that the fee can be added to your booking. This fee helps us offset the fee for extra cleaning and goes straight to our wonderful cleaners. We ask that pets be limited to two per trip.
• No loud parties and only 6 guests, please.
• Must be at least 25 years old to book. A photo ID may be required upon booking.
• Additional fees and taxes may apply.

My husband's work has spilled over into our weekends and nights. He works all day Mon. thru Fri. and comes home and has to work more and he hasn't had a weekend free from work in months. I booked this place for 5 nights to make them give him a break that was much needed. We were very happy with the place. Mission was for him to get bored, and mission was finally accomplished the last day we were there. This was our first VRBO and it was perfect.
Wonderful property. Do NOT attempt to find it in the dark for the first time. Follow owners instructions!
Cool place!
Super clean, amazing accommodations, the place is super quiet and peaceful, beautiful things to be done around. Cabinet structure is gorgeous! I don’t have enough words to describe how good this place was to me.
This was a great vacation stay. The only issues we encountered was the steep driveway, but once we got used to it, it wasn't bad. However, the cabin was very well stocked and the amenities were very well thought out. The size of the cabin and lighting was excellent. Would definitely love to stay here again!
We had a WONDERFUL stay!!! It was clean as private and just perfect!! Best VRBO I have ever stayed at!! I did not want to leave. Thank you for everything.
This cabin was very private and peaceful. It was well stocked, and clearly cared and planned for, in a way that most VRBOs are not. Everything we needed was available. The location was excellent for exploring the Smokies. Don't miss the Joyce Kilmer forest. We hope to come back!
This cabin is clean and well stocked. The canopy gives you a nice break from the heat. The fire pit is lovely! This listing was completely accurate. The directions to the driveway are a bit confusing but we figured it out. The speed bump is quite a ways up the road...we thought we were in the wrong place, but we made it!
Wonderful mountain getaway cabin in one of the most charming areas of North Carolina. The cabin is located in a very private little slice of green mountain forest. It’s the perfect size for a small or medium sized family, and is well maintained and stocked by the owners. The hot tub and upstairs lodging was a hit with the kids! Also boasts a cute yet private little pathway, quaintly illuminated by classy string lights, to a sitting area for an evening fire! I highly recommend this rental to anyone who is looking for an escape to a quiet yet beautiful space!
I searched for cabins near Fontana Dam. I had never utilized the Vrbo app. After I located this cabin and reviewed the pics I made my reservation request. Pics are often deceiving but not in this case. This place was perfect. I can’t think of a single thing that would’ve made our stay better. You guys hit the mark and exceeded my expectations. I will definitely recommend your cabin.
Privacy was awesome....manager made it an awesome experience...great communication answered all my questions
Very private! Wonderful get away in the mountains. Well appointed and maintained. A perfect spot for self, or for family and friends.
Booked the cabin for our AT hike to Fontana Dam. The location was perfect with a short 7 minute drive to the trailhead. Then just a 20 minute drive back up to the cabin after our hike and dinner at the Wildwood grill. Good communication from the owner. We enjoyed our weekend getaway to the mountains of North Carolina.
Before the trip we were advised there was no phone service, however with Verizon service we had service even inside the cabin. When we arrived you could tell the place was well taken care of. There wasn’t that normal cabin smell that most cabins have. We arrived the day after a storm and the electricity going out caused the Wi-Fi not to work. We called the host and they literally had it fixed the same day. We spent most of our time hiking & site seeing in the area and it is absolutely gorgeous. Yellow Creek Falls is just a short car ride away from the cabin but an absolute must see!! After spending the days in the trails, it was nice to come back for a dip in the hot tub. We spent a couple evenings at the fire pit that is on the property and it was very relaxing! Our favorite part of the cabin is just the over all layout of it. It is large enough to accommodate a large family, but still intimate enough for a couples weekend. We highly recommend going, and will be coming back often. You cannot find better host!
