We were very excited about the location and size of the property. When we arrived the cabin had not been cleaned properly. The dishes were all dirty in the cabinets. The trash had not been emptied and the floors were not washed. They asked you take your shoes off before you go upstairs but the floors were so dirty you better have something to put on your feet before you go upstairs. One of the cabinets fell apart when you opened the door. There was pink mold on the shower curtains. The frying pans were all dented and unusable. The dishwasher fell out of the cabinet it was not bolted in. We contacted the person in charge and she would only communicate through email. She did send new pans but we received those 5 days after we had been there. The dishwasher was fixed the day before we left. They never addressed the nails and splinters that we're sticking out of the floor in the master bedroom. The heat was clearly controlled by someone else we would wake up in the middle of the night freezing and get up and the heat would be on 53. During the day the setting of the heat would just change on us. The fireplace was the only thing that would keep us warm. The banister going up the stairs was very unsteady and the one in the loft moved. There were no non slip under the throw rugs so be careful you will easily fall. The location and the bed's were comfortable. I hope that the next people that rent this home we're able to enjoy their stay.

Overall it was great. It was cozy once the house heated up and beautiful. One of the reasons for 4 star is the temperature of the house was 55 degrees when you arrive. It is a smart thermostat so they could have it warmer for when you arrive. They tell you to turn the heat down when you leave but it turns down automatically at checkout-10:00. The outside smelled like sewer. It was stocked well with pots and pans but hard to find one we felt comfortable using since they were all scratched, burnt, or worn out. They need new pans. The rooms were spacious and thankfully, there were plenty of blankets.

We stayed in the cabin for 3 nights in October to use it as a base to do some leaf peeping. It was a good base for day trips

Beautful home in great proximity to all Franconia Notch and the surrounding area has to offer! The home was immaculate and well equipped. We would absolutely stay here again if we come back to the area. One of our favorite rental homes!

We enjoyed our time in the Franconia cabin. Although it isn’t fancy, it is clean and comfortable. The rustic vibe fit well with our personalities and desire to get away from a fast-paced work life. The wrap-around porch was a real treat! The weather was hot and humid during our stay. We appreciated having access to fans, since the house does not have central AC. Hope to return to Franconia soon!

This cabin was incredible for the two of us. Large enough for a family or a group of friends, it was just perfect for a couple to curl up in front of the fireplace for a romantic weekend

The property manager was very communicative and let us know prior to getting there that the combo lock on the door was not operational and gave us the combo to a lock box that held a key. However we didn't need it because the door on the deck was unlocked. When arriving we did a full sweep of the house for fear someone was there. When entering there was a REALLY strong smell of cannabis so much so that I sent a text to the property manager and we left the doors open for 30 mins to air it out. This was not fun since it was really cold outside. We settled in for the evening. We had 7 adults. There wasn't enough room for us to all sit in the living room area or at the dining room table. My husband and I stayed in the downstairs bedroom off the kitchen. When laying down there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke on the sheets and pillow cases. We are not smokers and I'm sensitive to the smell. It was so strong that I wrapped a blanket I brought around the pillow then washed all the linens the next day. The furniture in the living room is falling apart and VERY uncomfortable. This trip was for us to get away, stay in, play games, read, and watch movies. We couldn't sit on the couch or chairs for any more than an hour or so at one point we were all sitting on the floor. The slider door was broken and had been unlocked since we got there. We didn't notice until day 3. We wouldn't go back or recommend.

The house, which was very clean, comfortable and well equipped, was situated within the complex as to provide a lot of privacy and quiet. It was also a convenient distance from the White Mountain National Forest. Were I to visit the area again, I would not hesitate to stay here. The only glitch was the code for the keyless entry did not work, and it took about an hour for the site manager to respond back with the code for the lock box. The remote for the gas fireplace did not work properly and was difficult to use.
