Sawmill Retreat located near Summersville Lake/ Gauley River with hot tub

The cabin is absolutely perfect, stunning woodwork!! Loved how cozy it felt. The hot tub was clean, the grill and seating area with picnic table and firepit, makes this cabin PERFECT!! The host, Miranda is absolutely wonderful, she responds immediately and is very helpful. We will definitely be back!!

Miranda’s place was a little gem for the area. VERY clean and well appointed! There were three of us staying and it was very comfortable! Great location and many nice amenities such as hot tub, laundry and fire pit. She had the kitchen well stocked and whole cabin nicely decorated. It was very comfortable!

Every thing was nice

This vacation home was perfect, clean, cozy, and so cute! The hot tub was incredibly relaxing, and the snow made our stay feel extra magical. We loved every minute and would definitely come back!

It was perfect. Everything absolutely everything it was clean. It was safe. There every amenity that you could think of the bed was comfortable. The shower was great. The hot tub was relaxing.

We went for my girlfriend’s birthday and it was an amazing experience. We loved the atmosphere and how private it is perfect to spend quality time together. I would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a nice quiet, cozy, clean place to get away for the night or weekend!!!

Dryer was broken, stove was not working properly, floors so dirty my socks were black, every dish was dirty and had to be washed before use. Mattress was thin uncomfortable and wrapped in vinyl… hole in ceiling of shower for anyone upstairs to view inside while showering. Also had duct tape covering a hole in the bathroom door. For the price I expected much better

Absolutely loved this cabin! It is super cute and was decorated for Christmas. Enjoyed the hot tub very much. Kitchen even had a huge stock of spices and condiments and cooking utensils. Cabin was VERY very clean. Best of all, there was an arcade machine upstairs which gave us lots of unexpected entertainment. 10/10 loved this place, best birthday ever :)

This cabin was very clean and cutely decorated for the season. The WiFi sign was so cute, it took my husband and I forever to see it. We kept looking for a note jotted down somewhere. This owner provides lots of extras like laundry detergent, dish soap, soap, shampoo, hairdryer, plenty of towels, coffee, popcorn, s’mores, games, movies, firewood, etc. The hot tub was most enjoyable. The cabin is located adjacent to Rt 129 so you do experience some road noise which I hadn’t expected from reading the other reviews about the cabin being private. It is private as far as other cabins are concerned though which was very nice. Host was very hospitable and check-in and check-out was easy.

This is the perfect weekend getaway location! It is conveniently located near the lake, and is just a short drive from some great summertime restaurants. The cabin was super clean and still looks brand new. They have all the amenities you could ask for. Will be staying here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable cabin in West Virginia! It was stocked with everything we could possibly need to make our trip even more enjoyable—from fresh coffee to s’mores supplies for the fire. The attention to detail was incredible, and we truly felt at home the moment we walked in. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and so comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy our time. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect mountain retreat!

Lovely cabin close to the lake. Miranda has everything you need for a great stay! So many little comforts were there for use; coffee, smores, wood, peroxide, band aids, shampoo, laundry supplies, etc. The hot tub was an added bonus. Great communication as well!

Beautiful place

We had a great stay at this cabin! The place was very clean and the hot tub was nice. The bed was very comfortable also which is always a plus when sleeping away from home. We even seen a few deer right across the road while cooking outside. The area is absolutely beautiful with so many places to see nest things within a half hour! Very scenic place overall around there. The only real improvements I would suggest would be curtains or blinds on the door and window in kitchen for a sense of more privacy, although the location was pretty private it would be a nice touch. The lake is drained during off season and the owner communicated that in messages when I was asking questions but it could be added to the listing to provide clear info without requiring a message. Would definitely stay again! And considering doing so during summer months, nice little property.

We were only there overnight but the house was very clean and comfortable. Miranda was very accommodating and professional.

My wife and I had a great stay at Sawmill Retreat. The cabin was clean snd warm with all the amenities of home. We really enjoyed the hot tub on the covered front porch! The host, Miranda, was outstanding! She was very responsive and kind. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

The cabin was cozy and full of charm. It was very clean and welcoming. We enjoyed our night there. We got in very late, so we didn't have a chance to enjoy the hot tub or fire pit that we're ready for us on our arrival.The beds were comfortable, and our boys enjoyed the small selection of children's books and games tucked in the corner in the morning. Three loft floor is creaky though, so that may cause some challenges for light sleepers. Our boys made a fair bit of noise getting up and coming downstairs in the morning.

It was very nice. One suggestion: the throw rugs were a serious tripping hazard since none stayed put. Otherwise beautiful cabin. Thank you.

Sawmill Retreat has one of a kind craftsmanship that you won’t find anywhere else. The homeowners really take pride in making their home stand out! The location was perfectly nestled in a peaceful location yet close enough to the Gorge, Gauley National Park, Hawks Nest State Park and many other attractions. Miranda was quick to respond to every message and easy to work with. Hot tub was an added bonus! We had a blast! Would definitely recommend for your next get away!

The cabin was clean and cozy. There was so manny things to see and do. The lake is beautiful and clean. Hawks Nest was just a short drive. Recommend the jet boat ride. And the Mew River Gorge Bridge was awesome. Recommend the drive to go under the bridge. We are definitely going back next year.
