Fairhope, Alabama
Come enjoy the fabulous sunsets and relaxing atmosphere in this spacious a-frame on the bay! The house is just minutes from the great shopping and dining of the city of Fairhope, but just off the beaten path enough to feel private and secluded! Located on the eastern shore of Mobile bay, the house faces almost due south, meaning refreshing breezes in the summer, but protection from the wind in the winter, making the outdoor weather fabulous year-round!
This house is perfect for vacationing families. The downstairs bedrooms both have King sized beds, while 2 rooms upstairs will sleep lots of kids! The sandy beach is perfect for small children. A snowbird couple would also love this house, as the upstairs need not even be used! The view from the kitchen as you cook is just breathtaking.
There is a public boat ramp just one mile away, so bring your boat for skiing, tubing and fishing on the bay, or for a beautiful ride up the nearby magnolia river to swim in the cold spring waters.
Don't forget to pack your appetite for seafood. When baited, the two crab traps provided catch as many as a dozen crabs a day!

I stayed at a lovely accommodation for three days at a very reasonable price. The view from the place was fantastic, and the heater and hot water worked well. It was winter, but the weather was good enough to use the kayaks in the sea. I want to return to this place for my summer vacation.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was the perfect size for just my husband and I. Scenery was beautiful, it was tidy, bed was probably the most comfortable of any of the rentals we have stayed in! This is not a brand new house, but it was clean and very nice. Our only complaint is be mindful of the dock, it feels a little wobbly, but IT IS SAFE. There were a couple soft boards that may require some attention this spring, but nothing to immediately complain about or prevent us from using it. Overall we LOVED our stay here! It was perfect size for us. It was really fun to stay in such a cute little A-frame. It was VERY comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, plenty of bath linens! The location was phenomenal, neighbor my husband talked to was so nice, we saw many pelicans (personal favorite for me) and there was an injured heron that was around regularly that was really neat to be close to and observe! 10/10 would recommend and would stay here again!
We had an amazing time during our stay. The pier is amazing for fishing and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Trin was very easy to communicate with and was very responsive!
The house met or exceeded our needs.
Fabulous location and gorgeous views! Our family of 6 adults and 1 child really enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was pretty well stocked with the necessary items to make meals. Home was clean and suited our needs well. The spiral staircase has been replaced with normal stairs which was a nice upgrade! Hope to return next year for another family vacation!
Phenomenal views to the Mobile Bay, peaceful and quiet stay.
We did a boat trip from Bay Saint Louis MS. Location was great . House was clean . Loved the swings . We will be back next year !!!
While not flashy in its decor and structure, this A-frame is beautifully bright. Beautiful setting, private beach, quiet, well maintained. Loved it! Would definitely stay again.
Great location. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. Loved relaxing in the hammock swings overlooking the bay. Saw dolphins up close both mornings we were there. Home was very comfortable and roomy. Would definitely stay there again. Wonderful stay!
Hard to beat a house just a few steps from the water. This was our second year staying here and we look forward to coming back again. Trin stayed in close contact and answered all our questions during our stay. A kayak, crab traps, and many other amenities were available for use. Just a very comfortable and peaceful stay.
The property itself was beautiful nighttime waterfront views, and morning waterfront views. Some of the things on the property like the washer, dryer, sinks, and appliances could be a little cleaner. I would caution anyone to be careful with walking out on the dock. Especially if you are older, because some of the boards are a little wobbly and loose in spots. There is kind of a musty odor when you enter the house which signifies there could be some mold someplace, so I feel that should be taken care of. Bring your Lysol spray. But other than that we had a great stay four days, especially sitting on the deck watching the water.
Thanks for allowing to stay! We had a great time.
The property is in a perfect beachfront setting. You have everything you need for a wonderful bayside experience for a short visit or extended stay. The host is super responsive and easy to communicate with. Just minutes from two excellent boat docks. An overall wonderful experience.
Exactly as advertised. Awesome little cabin/cottage right on the water. It was perfect for our little family. Enjoyed good fishing and enough crabs for 2 boils. Already booked return trip next year.
Comfortable in area of newer larger beach homes Fairhope a treasure
This was our third time staying here. We love the location and the amenities of the house. It was big enough to accommodate three couples and our 12 year old. Will definitely be booking again!
Had a great time. The place was just as described. Host was very responsive!
This is a wonderful place to escape winter. Watching the sun come up just to the south each morning and set across the bay in the evening never gets old. Nor does listening to the waves lap against the shore. Great fishing and crabbing off the deck. We had three crab cake dinners and even more fish dinners. The A-frame is well decorated, with high-quality linens and an extraordinarily well-stocked kitchen. How many Vrbo rentals have paprika on the shelf when the renter discovers her Google-searched recipe requires it? Very quiet neighbors. Love the neighborhood: Lots of friendly walkers and a nice distance to the Weeks Bay boat launch every morning to visit Blue Herons and pelicans. The host responds to text inquiries promptly. And when I got distracted and accidentally locked us out, she was very understanding and went out of her way to see that I got a replacement key. Already looking forward to next year's snow birding!
My husband and I stayed for the weekend after Thanksgiving. Even though it was a hazy rainy weekend, we loved having coffee on the front porch, and pelican-watching on the pier. This cabin has gorgeous knotty pine woodwork throughout, and has THREE KING bedrooms plus the 4-twin room. This isn’t a sterile white, no personality, nothing in the pantry place. It has charm and a personal getaway feel. The kitchen cabinets have spices and there is coffee and sweeteners along with coffee filters in there. Nice pans and tons of storage. Location was within a 20-25 min drive to Foley outlet, 15 minutes to The Grand Hotel breakfast buffet and spa, and just 10 min to charming downtown Fairhope. We loved it!
My husband and I had a great stay! We did not want to leave. Can not wait to go back. Fishing and crabbing where very successful off the dock. We cooked almost all of our meals there from our daily catches. Kitchen was well stocked with what pots and pans that we needed. Loved the collection of books. Highly recommend this cabin and we would stay here again.
We loved our stay here and didn’t want to leave! The view is beautiful and we enjoyed the sunsets every evening and dolphin watching in the morning. Furniture and beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. Very charming little place!
Looking for a house large to accommodate my family along with a sandy beach for grandchildren and this house was just right. Clean, nice den with great view, quiet neighbors, and a pier for fishing. The host was very accessible and eager to see all was in order. A very nice stay for the week.
