Salmon River Chalet, magical acre on the river, decks, BBQ, dog-friendly

Gorgeous house! We wished it had been a bit more well stocked, as there was only one washcloth in the entire house and several appliances in the kitchen were broken, but overall we enjoyed our stay here. Don't miss the lovely benches overlooking the river!

Beautiful location deep in the forest. Plenty of room for our group of ten. Beds were comfy and we loved all of the board games and air hockey. There are treads on the outdoor stairs, but they still get very slippery when wet.

Cabin was clean. Well set up for family. Could even be good for two families. . Lots of rooms, , well stocked kitchen, lots of games and DVDs. Pet friendly with a small fenced in yard.

Overall a great place to stay near Mt. Hood. Great location next to Salmon River. Bring your own firewood if you want to use the wood stove.

The house was lovely, but needed a thorough cleaning. The floor was filthy & one of the tables had a sticky residue on it. The deck is in critical need of repairs. Everyone on this trip did not feel comfortable on the deck.

This home has is great for adults and children. The layout works well. Our two preschool aged grandchildren loved playing with the toys. The only complaint we had was that there were just four coffee cups. Fortunately, not all of the adults in our group drank coffee, but we still did have to share.The home is dog friendly which was appreciated. It was clean and well cared for.

The house was amazing, everything you need for a large family get together. The owners are very friendly, responsive and accommodating for special circumstances! We had an amazing time for my husband’s 50th birthday, this house was perfect for accommodating our large family and dogs! Great home with lots of activities for the kiddos!!

The house needs some attention. The deck is needing some love. The railing is not sturdy and some boards need to be given some attention. The beeping reviews is still an issue. I’m sure the housekeeper might not notice while in the house. Makes sleeping a bit uncomfortable waking up off and on.If you are expecting to do a lot of cooking bring your own frying pans. Also only 4 coffee cups….

The house was perfect. The pics made it look like there were trails all over but there was only one to the river that we could find. Still a very quiet area and we would book this place again.

Was a great family great away.

The cabin was spacious. The location is tucked away and you can hear the river nearby. I would recommend staying here again however, I hope the owner fixes some issues first. The master bathroom shower does not drain/is clogged. This made for a gross/impossible shower situation. Second, we found the master bedroom bed linens to be gross and old. There were holes in the comforter & the entire sheet set felt like it was 100 years old. Not comfortable. We ended up sleeping with the blankets we had brought as “emergency backups.” Overall, the house was nice but it does need a little TLC in that master bedroom.

We had a great time celebrating birthdays with my husband and two adult kids. Great location and beautiful property. Comfortable beds and lots of games. One of the fire alarms kept chirping every 20 minutes or so (downstairs bedroom with king bed). We changed the battery but it still continues to chirp, which makes sleeping difficult for whoever stays in that room. I saw a review mentioning this same thing from two years ago, so it might be worth checking it out, as something seems to be wrong with the unit.We would stay here again - thanks!

The house was a perfect home base for Mt. hood adventures. It was spacious, well stocked with games and movies, and you can’t beat the location. Only words of warning are the WiFi did not work at all and cell service was very poor, so we had to drive into town for online access. We also booked with “pets” and then were charged a second pet fee when we contacted them to indicate we had 2 dogs after only being able to select a generic “with pets” in our booking, so that was disappointing. Door code provided did not work upon arrival, but they were able to resolve that pretty quickly.
