Leicester, North Carolina
This authentic, creekside mountain retreat is nestled on 30 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The cabin is just 15 miles from Asheville and 45 minutes away from the Blue Ridge Parkway. At 3000 ft in elevation, it's mild during summer days and cool at night plus the dark skies make for an amazing star view. The cabin features 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a full kitchen, and charming outdoor spaces including a fire pit, multiple covered porches, and a creek to enjoy. Come relax in this serene space.
The cabin is clean, cozy, lovely and rustic. (I could’ve spent the entire trip on the porch.) The property is gorgeous, and between the nights at the fire pit, walks to the pond, peeking in the windows of the old schoolhouse, and falling asleep to the sounds of the wind in the trees, we couldn’t have chosen a better autumn getaway. Would definitely return!
The cabin was located a few miles off a main road in Leicester. The road to the cabin was paved and nicely maintained and the looped driveway was gravel. Our group loved the cabin and its location away from the city but not too far from amenities like gas, groceries, and restaurants. One of the nearest falls was about 50 minutes outside of Maggie Valley. Other waterfalls and Pisgah are a bit further. Downtown Asheville, the Biltmore area, and the Omni Grove Park Inn were all within a reasonable driving range. The cabin itself was spotless and comfortably furnished. The property was beautiful. The only thing I'd suggest is additional lighting on both sides of the driveway and a couple more motion sensor lights on the exterior of the cabin. There were no close neighbors, so it felt private without being too secluded. We would certainly stay there again and were sad our trip passed so quickly.
The house was clean and well-kept. We really enjoyed the privacy and seclusion of the area!
