Location and property is idyllic! The entire cabin is over the top appointed-everything you might need is there. The cabin is cozy and warm.Louise is very easy to communicate with.We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to plan a return trip
The solitude was welcoming! Beautiful accommodations. The only thing I would add is that the firepit is not accessible since a burn ban is in place. I know the owners can not do anything about this but I would suggest removing it as a major draw for the property.
This cabin in the woods was the perfect home base for my family as we explored the Olympic peninsula. It was clean, quiet and charming. My whole family was enchanted with the cabin and property. We loved every minute of our stay!
Rustic, relaxing and in a peaceful setting.
The scenery was beautiful but the VRBO listing pictures were not representative of property. Wood fireplace had been removed. Fireplace was in the kitchen. Only place to watch a movie was in bed as no tv in front room. Mouse droppings and even 2 mice in garbage can in house. Mice in bathroom cabinets and tore through toilet paper and plastic bags. Could not leave door open for cool mountain air as holes in the screen. Have stayed in many many cabins and this by far worst place we have had.
We all loved this property and plan to come back. It's rustic, but has enough modern comforts to keep you cozy. The stillness and quiet after dark is spectacular. And the morning croak of ravens in the trees is something you'll never forget.
This rustic little cabin is so sweet and cozy. It was perfect for my husband and I, and our favorite furry companion. Absolutely quiet, private, and peaceful. We saw many dear on our evening walks, and several more as we drove out in the mornings. The cabin has everything you need, and the gas stove in the kitchen keeps the cabin warm and toasty.
We were disconcerted by the distance of this cabin from our goal, which was Olympic N.P. My husband was upset but soon realized this is a real log cabin in a beautiful setting. We had thoughts of leaving early to shorten the 8 hour drive home, but decided to stay as long as absolutely possible. The cabin is warm, clean, comfortable, in a peaceful but remote location. We were grateful we didn't have to use the stairs because they are steep. Our contact, Louise, was extremely helpful and put up with me asking questions I could have answered myself if I'd read the instructions more carefully. I sat on the porch in a rocking chair with my glass of wine in the early evening and thought I was in heaven.
I search for a cabin located in the woods and found this great property! Everything was as stated in the listing. The stairs to the upper level were very steep, and as stated, not for children or anyone with mobility issues. We really liked the peace and quiet! We would book to stay there again!
We had a great time at a rustic cabin. It was so relaxing. The cabin was very clean and had everything you needed. The kitchen was very well equipped with all the necessary essentials that you need to cook wonderful meals. The grounds are so peaceful. Loved building a fire in the firepit and roasting marshmallows. Everyone would love spending time here.
The cabin was even nicer than it looks in the photos; the kitchen is especially well-appointed. Beware that the stairs to second floor loft sleeping area require caution. The area was rich with hiking opportunities and we loved the quiet neighborhood and grounds aroudn the cabin.
Delayed review here as I forgot to leave one after our stay last fall … This quaint little cabin in the hills outside Sequim was a wonderful accommodation for our family adventures on the Olympic Peninsula in late 2021. Our sons (7 and 2 at the time) and dog loved the fresh air and open spaces around the property, and the accommodations inside the cabin were nice as well. A fully stocked kitchen and nice seating area made a great home base after days of adventure in the Forest, and the living room area is cozy/beds were decent as well. Only qualm was that as advertised we did end up having a little mouse visitor sneaking around the bathroom, but will say the owner was responsive and very helpful and coordinated efforts with the property manager to quickly trap and remove the critter. All in all we had a very nice stay here and would happily return if/when we visit the area again. Pretty highly recommend this cool property!
This was my first time spending the money to have a longer stay and I couldn’t have been happier! The cabin was spacious and cozy. The property was vast and even though you have neighbors near by you feel as if you are miles away. Would gladly stay here again!!
