Very well maintained and pretty cabin. Definitely a break from everything; to relax and enjoy the quietness and peacefulness of nature. I highly recommend this place to stay. Also, not very far from Galena, another small but beautiful town.

We loved staying at this cabin, and will definitely look this property up if going to the Galena area again. Our three bigger kids enjoyed the room upstairs with the king bed, and my partner and I and the baby had the downstairs room. The cabin was well off from the quiet road with lots of little trails mowed so it was fun and relaxing to go exploring. Our dog had a great time. Even the balcony and the patio behind the cabin were really cleaned up, completely ready for use. Fantastic place.

Had a lovely peaceful anniversary weekend. Beautiful cabin that is comfortable and clean with nice grounds. Had everything we needed and would stay again when we are in the area!

Wonderful secluded property about 13 miles to downtown Galena. Surrounded by gorgeous old oak and timber. It was such a pleasure to explore the hilly, winding backroads of the area. We really enjoyed our stay. Hopefully thry never build more cabins on the hill because its perfect thr way it is.

It was a surreal arrival. Got there bout 4 in the afternoon and the cabin was nestled in a very quaint setting, trees, squirrels , all kinds of song birds. Kinda took are breath away. When got into the cabin and saw haw perfectly decorated and absolutely spotless. We didn’t have cell or internet. Land line phone if we needed to contact Donesa . That added to the charm and serenity. Fantastic Honeymoon spot. Thanks Donesa

The cabin itself was very secluded even though there was a cabin at the bottom of the hill. It may have been in the country but there was so much to do in the surrounding area. So close to Iowa and Wisconsin as well.The cabin was perfect. Will stay again.

Great place to get away from everything, while being a short drive to Galena

My husband and I have been coming to these cabins for many years now with our pups and the cabins/property have never disappointed us. It is one of our favorite get aways. We have brought several friends with us over the past years. The trails are wonderful, the nature and quietness is unbeatable and it is only 20 minutes from Galena! We cannot wait to visit again!

very relaxing

We were looking for a low-key, relaxing getaway. This rental was perfect. It’s a rustic cabin in the woods, very private. Even though it was a rustic cabin, it still had all the conveniences of a modern home. Our favorite part was having a warm fire in the stove during the cold evening. During the stay we had a question and the owner responded to our text right away. This is a great find and we will be coming back!

We’ve stayed here multiple times and have always enjoyed ourselves. It’s the perfect place to unplug and recharge your personal batteries. We will be back again!!!

Though we were a little late for fall colors, this property was perfect. Nicely secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our family really enjoyed our stay. We also loved the architecture and/or design/layout of the cabin. The wood stove added a nice atmosphere in the evenings.

Wonderful secluded location minutes from Galena. Cabin has everything you need for a perfect stay. Love having coffee in the mornings on the deck in back!

A perfect setting for some down time! The cabin is remote, yet just a short drive to downton Elizabeth, Galena, and Apple River Canyon. Very clean and the bed was super comfy! Our dog enjoyed listening to the cows at night while hanging out by the fire. Very scenic property with a few short trails to take the dog on. Absolutely loved staying here and plan to return!

The cabin was a perfect place to get away from an everyday routine. It had a positive vibe to it and was well supplied. Really enjoyed the view outside and the special quality time that is shared with loved ones. Would recommend to others and would come back!

The layout and location were perfect, the pool was awesome, kitchen, etc excellent. A great place to stay!
