Kalispell, Montana
A rustic mountain "off-Grid" cabin with enough amenities to make your stay comfortable. You will enjoy the peace and quiet of the ten-acre property and adjacent thousands of acres of lumber company and forest service land. Just minutes from Ashley Lake, one of Northwest Montana's most beautiful natural lakes. You will enjoy cabin's porch for your morning coffee or to just enjoy the view of surrounding hills. The cabin loft with king size bed is the perfect place to retire to after a day enjoying Montana. The loft room has a small desk and chair, rocker, twin bed and a small TV with DVD player and a collection of family friendly movies. For the kids or extra guests, the "Red Neck" cabin is an authentic tiny log cabin about 100 feet from the main cabin. It has built in bunk beds and a gas cook top for the morning coffee. There is a pair of two way radios to communicate with the kids big or small staying in the Red Neck cabin. Both cabins have gas and wood heat to make cool mountain mornings pleasant. The Bunk House cabin has a futon on the main floor that will sleep two adults comfortably. The cabins are served by bath house with clawfoot tub/shower, flush toilet and on demand hot water or a traditional outhouse. The best feature of the bath house is the outdoor shower with redwood surround. The perfect place to rinse off after a day enjoying the swimming beach at Ashley Lake under a Lodgepole pine tree. The water in the bathhouse is not potable and bottled water is supplied. The Bunk House cabin has a small kitchen with an antique Wedgewood gas range and gas grill on the porch. The cabins are dry so no running water. The cabins get their electric power for solar panels. The system produces enough power for lights, TV, and a fan, but not enough for a hair dryer or curling iron.
