Rustic Lake Front Family Cabin with Beautiful Views

The back patio was the best part of this residence. The furniture was extremely uncomfortable, ants in the pantry, fire alarm malfunctioned. The house needs a lot of TLC and decluttered.

While the location is wonderful, the house is neglected. There was a notice at the house from the County that the house is in violation of local ordinance on short term rentals. There was food left outside in a plastic container and there was a mouse as an additional guest throughout our stay. We called about the mouse but nothing was done.

Good space. Wonderful deck and lake view. Kitchen was somewhat disorganized. And coffee maker was far too small for 6 adults. Coded door lock stopped working mid-stay. Loose railings could become a safety issue for the infirm.

The property was very dated, neglected, and in disrepair.

We really loved our stay and highly recommend if you like old school charming lakefront homes! The number of bedrooms and bathrooms worked very well for our group. We loved hanging out on the fabulous deck with great views of the lake. The jacuzzi is a great bonus as well as the steps down to the small deck on the water. Even though it's older, it's well loved and you can just tell there have been a lot of family memories made here.Very well equipped kitchen and newer appliances.The lake was very high so access to the water is difficult when the lake is this full - this was the only challenge.Would stay again in a heart beat! Fantastic location ! Peaceful house. Direct access to Tahoe Lake, amazing view, we would have loved to stay longer…

We loved this house so much last year that we booked it again! The house was spacious and comfortable for our family to both be together and have our own space. Direct lake access is priceless! Sitting on the patio watching the sunrise or hopping in the lake for an early morning paddle made the trip feel 100% like vacation. Host was responsive to pre-trip messaging and helpful.

Rustic cabin on the lake as described.Plenty of room inside and large deck.Multiple steps to water and steep. Small deck at the bottom on the water with a paddle board.Very relaxing place.Close to town.Spent time hiking and exploring the beautiful beaches on the Nevada side of the lake.Would highly recommend this place but it’s not fancy.Had difficulty contacting host but we have not used VRBO before so could have been us.

Had another great vacation at David's place. Whole family had a great time! Look forward to coming back next year.

We had a family of 4 plus a bonus family member. There were plenty of pots, pans, dishes, utensils. The dishwasher and fridge were new and worked very well. The host also provides some games ranging from apples to apples jr edition and sorry all the way to cards for humanity and the OG Trivial Pursuit. You can’t get bored here!The view is breathtaking and we spent hours just sitting on the back porch and decompressing. Please do note that if you’re not able bodied you would find this property challenging. There are a dozen or so wooden steps to get from the parking to the home. There are also more than 60 stairs to get to the water. Very much worth it if you’re capable! It was so serene on the landing on the water!We really enjoyed our stay! The property is exactly as it’s depicted! We hope to stay again on a future trip!

This cabin is in a gorgeous location, but the price is high for what you get. The cabin itself is very dated, the hot tub lid has degraded to the point of falling apart and has trouble maintaining heat. I chose this spot over others because of the hot tub. There is a two foot long piece or sharp rebar that is exposed out of the concrete at the top of the stairs leading down to the cabin. This is very dangerous and a liability waiting to happen.

Such a great find ON the lake! So much that we just booked it again. It felt like home in so many ways and just wonderful to have the deck with lake view for morning coffee and quick walk down the steps to hang out on the lake after daily activities. The place had all the essentials and the host communicated well when we had a hiccup. Additional instructions about trash process for people not familiar with the area would help, as well as advanced reminder about operating the bear wires. We figured it out though :)

what a gem of a property - loaded with rustic charms - not filled with new store bought decor but age-old heirlooms - so many cool different unique lamps - can do different soft lighting arrangements for early morn , when you’re cooking dinner and post-dinner sipping sessions - and each room its own feel - you cannot express the beauty of the views of the lake, trees and surrounding mountains - have to be there to sit with it - radiant sunrises with morning mists engulfing the lake - then multi-layered pastel sunsets pinks blues purples that yield quickly to exquisite starry darkness - entire stay was super quiet we did not hear a peep anywhere besides rustling winds - we enjoyed so much we would like to make a family tradition - 3 different subsets of family with their own kids , all fit comfortably with own spaces - the basement was my favorite space , cool walk-up concrete and green tile shower , with a door that opens to jacuzzi , and the first line of bear defense (j.k.) like i said we didn’t hear a peep

PRETTY PLACE TO STAY

Our stay was great. This cabin has gorgeous views of nature. By seeing them you just want to praise the Lord for His creation because He created everything for people's joy perfectly. Showed us His true love to us and how much He loves us all. God bless you all people!

What can be more lovely than a ‘home away from home’ on the lake? I was luckily enough to witness the October Supermoon from the deck, the whole lake was glittering in the moon light. Such a beautiful hidden gem.

House was exactly as advertised and definitely fit our needs. Hot tub was great after a long day of hiking or after a cold dip in the lake. Plenty of room. Son Loved the basement bedroom that had a walkout right to the hot tub. Master shower had door but a low flow shower head so we mostly used the tub shower even though no shower curtain. Lots of condiments coffee were already there, just no toilet paper anywhere so make sure to bring a roll before you get chance to shop.

The property is wonderful! Great Location and Awesome view. Definitely would like to stay there again.

Our family has been visiting Lake Tahoe during summer for over 45 years, and this cabin received a unanimous vote as the best cabin thus far! David is amazing. The house and views are spectacular. We were honored to share your little slice of heaven!
