best vacation weve ever had, property is stunning and close enough to everything but feels far away. Shawn is an amazing host! we had everythibg we needed and any questions we had were answered promptly. if you go to yellowstone, stay here. :)
This property was amazing! It is just what we wanted! Shawn was such an amazing hostess! She was kind and helpful and just a great all around person! The horses were wonderful, we were able to feed and pet them. The property was beautiful and fun to hike up and and see the wildlife! My only regret is not staying longer and not being able to just at the homestead more! 10 out of 10 all the way around! Highly recomend! We did this with our 10 9 and 6 year old and they had a blast!
This property was fantastic. I loved having the horses nearby and we had bugling elk on the hillside next to us. The beds were warm and comfortable and the shower was nice and hot! Plenty of firewood as well as dishes and several ways to make coffee, always important.
Great place to sleep while exploring Yellowstone. They had bear spray, coolers, fishing poles all for use. My kids enjoyed the trampoline and gold panning in the creek. I wish it had a mini fridge but otherwise no complaints. Lot of elk to see in Gardiner.
The cabin was even better than we anticipated. Off-grid to say the least. (wifi was available and working well) Our family truly enjoyed getting to stay in this original homestead and thinking about what it would have been like over 100 years ago for it's original occupants. The modern bathroom was the balancing agent to this time-travel adventure. Everything was very clean and well-kept. The beds were quite comfy, and critters were at a minimum, considering the age, rustic build, and geographical location. The hosts were great at communicating way before we arrived, letting us know of things to do in and around the area during our stay. If you are looking for a reset to your high-tech, fast-paced daily grind, this place is perfect.
Great location to Yellowstone, lovely property, saw herds of elk families on the hills behind the house.
We had a great time and loved the antiques around the property... The stream was tranquil and the trees were amazing! The owner was super sweet and communicative!
The homestead was a great experience. Just what we needed to disconnect from the day to day and enjoy being around the Yellowstone area. The kids loved playing with all the items around the property and the toy shack. We all enjoyed interacting with the horses. The host are fantastic people.
My wife and I stayed at this cabin over the weekend to visit yellowstone. We had an amazing stay, super close to the northeast entrance to yellowstone. The cabin was really nice and it was really fun using the wood burning stove. We woke up to horses outside of our window and you could see the beautiful mountains too. Would definitely stay again
This property was so much fun. It allows you to step back in time to a different place from the hustle and bustle. There was plenty of firewood for the stove and bonfire pit. The owners were super friendly and very welcoming to their community.
Beautiful property! The cabin was clean, cozy and cute. The new bathroom was wonderful. Horses on property were a huge plus. Perfect location to get into Yellowstone and Gardiner is a stunning town.
We had a wonderful time here. The property is even better than described with a few extra creature comforts—coffee pot, noisemaker, fan. Beds are very cozy and the bathroom is a full bathroom. The grounds are beautiful. My kids loved the swing, feeding the horses, and the trampoline!
Kids enjoyed playing tether ball, feeding horses, trampoline. Adults enjoyed the fire pit, stargazing, and withdrawing from the business from home. Hosts were great. We were visited by 16 elk the first morning of our stay!
