Just a short distance from Ogontz Lake, this classic, three-bedroom wood cabin is ideal for a relaxing vacation with the people you love! You can spread out to enjoy two levels of comfort and convenience that include a foosball table, board games, an expansive deck, and even a firepit for those toasted s'mores and campfire stories. Inside, you'll find a rustic and comfy living space dressed in knotty wood and lots of natural light. The wood-burning fireplace will make for an elegant dining experience, and you can use the full kitchen to prepare your favorite meals to serve over the handsome table with seating for six. Of course, there's nothing like an alfresco experience, so be sure to take a few meals outside on the screened porch or out on the deck surrounded by the lush green trees. You can enjoy an evening of board games with the kids before tucking into one of the home's three well-appointed bedrooms to get a luxurious sleep. In the morning, the baseboard heat will keep your feet nice and warm while you wake up to the toasty aromas of freshly brewed coffee and a bright new day!

Myself and two friends were in Lyman, NH for a wedding at Ogontz Rustic Lodge. Orgontz was too rustic and didn't feel like sleeping in a screened in porch and have to use communal bathrooms and showers. The Cabin is exactly one mile from the Ogontz Lodge. Perfect location. The Cabin was clean and looked just like the pictures. Reviews said no wifi. There was wifi and it worked fine. Reviews also said the fridges didn't work. Both fridges (a full size & mini) worked and were cold. My only complaint is the water smells like rotten eggs. The water must have high levels of sulfer. Could smell it when showering, brushing teeth, and running faucets. The water smelled, but tasted fine and didn't leave any smells on my body. The only other issue was, the house next door has a rooster. The rooster would start crowing, for a lack of a better word, at 6am. It would last for about 15 minutes both morinings. That rooster was like clock work. Overall it was a good stay and I would recommend it to friends and family. Jim D.,Dedham, MA
it was the worst vacation ever. we had a 4-month-old child with us and the heating did not work, no one wanted to solve this problem. the internet does not work, there is no mobile connection. we were forced to go to a neighbor to ask for firewood to light a fire in the fireplace. there is no pan, everything is dirty.
Beautiful woodwork inside. Love the real log beds, table, and chairs. Dutch doors are great for breezes - but really needs some sort of cooling; ceiling fans would have made the July humidity more bearable. We would like to visit again next year.
This property is very charming overall. I'm not sure the property is being managed to the T. This was the second time our family rented this cottage. The first time was much better but had similar issues. The second time around: no heat in temperatures under 40 at night, no fire extinguishers at all, no fireplace instructions, no hot water or less than expected, fridges not working, most tables and usage areas were pretty filthy. The sun room had years of dust all over the furniture -- maybe not used in years, no adequate blankets. For the price, especially the fees to clean, you expect a stellar property. I'm not sure we will use Vrbo outside of 5 start reviews.
Overall the Cabin on the Ridge was great. It was very very clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable. The internet was strong enough to stream videos. The kitchen was nice with new cabinets and appliances. The only issue was the refrigerator which wouldn't get very cold and freezer didn't freeze ice. We had no cell service so I couldn't call vacasa. We were also busy attending the event we were in the area for so this did not really impact our stay. We didn't bring much food with us. I did send a message to Vacasa who said they would place a ticket to get it fixed. The outside area and screen porch are great places to relax. I would stay here again.
Two non working refrigerator’s, one bedroom lightbulb was out, wifi is terrible, broken picnic table outside, coffee machine wasn’t working, home was fairly clean but did find dusty corners and both couches were covered in pet hair and just dirty. Vacasa sent out maintenance man on the last night of our stay and he was unable to do anything about both refrigerator’s. He did reset the coffee machine and was unable to replace the bulb because of not having a tall enough step ladder. I have been back and forth with Vacasa reps about trying to make this situation right and so far I’m yet to get any answers. This was my first and probably last time using these services. Too bad it is a beautiful home that does need a little work but what house doesn’t. We stayed from 8/21/22 to 8/28/22
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin in the middle of nowhere, which is exactly what we wanted. A couple things where the refrigerator was not working and we had to throw away spoiled food, also no washer or dryer or outdoor water.
Both my partner and I enjoyed this rustic property booking. If you are looking for a gay friendly vacation camp experience (without the tents), this could be a perfect choice. Every aspect of the home and outdoor access felt like a camp experience. It was absolutely emaculate. It's better suited for a family with kids, but our family dog enjoyed everything. The only things to be aware: almost no Internet (that's okay), but you do need to be prepared for emergencies -- no phone service and after a certain time, the backwoods are pictch black and driving could be dangerous. I also think the key in process should be better outlined. At first we did not know how to access the indoors because there were multiple padlocks, so we freaked because we had no cell reception.
I had an incredible time tucked away in this spacious, clear, naturally lit cabin. Everything worked perfectly, it was cozy and warm and all the things you'd want and expect from a cabin in the woods.
