Rustic Cedar Cabin

The cabin is very clean and cozy. Great little porch to have evening wine or morning coffee on. Nice little fire pit to relax around in the evening. The cabin is fully stocked and the owner Michelle lives right nearby and made sure we had everything we needed. She even came down and set up the logs in the fire pit. Highly recommend this charming cabin. Fancy Gap has no real grocery store but there is a Food Lion about 11 miles away that has everything.

Property was exactly as represented. Communication excellent. The cabin had everything we needed. I was looking for a quiet place to spend time with my mom and this was exactly it. I'd stay here again!

Wonderful place. Loved the location for motorcycle rides had an area to place bikes out of rain. There was a great fire pit. Loved cooking and just hanging out on the larger porch during the rain storm.

The Rustic Cabin is an awesome place. It felt like home with just two steps on the big, comfortable front porch, and inside... well the inside is perfection for a log cabin. Well appointed but not over done. The colors, furniture, decorations... everything said, come in, relax, stay a while. Only wish I could have stayed longer!

We live an hour away from the property and I rented this as a little weekend getaway for my husband's birthday. The cabin was perfect. There is nothing we could have possibly needed that wasn't supplied. Michelle is an extremely gracious host. We will definitely check availability here before we search for our future getaways.

Rustic Cedar Cabin was simply amazing! There is much to be said about all the attention to details from Michelle. The kitchen was well stocked,and the bathrooms had delightful soaps. One bedroom had a cozy fireplace ,and the other had a quiet reading nook. Everything in the house was planned with thoughtfulness in mind. We hope to return to this wonderful cabin!

This cabin was truly amazing. It was super clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the shops around town and close by. We loved the thought that was put into making this stay extremely comfortable. Michelle is a great hostess! She is easy to communicate with about her cabin. My husband and I stayed last year at the cabin on our way to South Carolina, and we stayed again this year; plus, we were fortunate enough to stay both on our way down to South Carolina and on our way home. The cabin itself is a perfect stop after hours on the road. Michelle has thought of everything! Moreover, the birding from the front porch is a perfect way to unwind!

We have stayed here 2 other times and it never disappoints!! Beautiful cabin and awesome property owner!! Always clean and super comfortable all around! We will be back soon!!!!!

We had a great stay! This is such a warm and welcoming place. Great communication from/with the host. This has everything you should need for your stay (stocked kitchen, lots of towels, sheets, blanks, basic toiletries). I loved the coffee and tea options. Clean and comfortable. We cannot wait to stay again. Close to 77, gas, and a decent food option.

This is our third stay and we will be back again. The cabin is so cozy. We walked in and the fire place was going and little xmas trees on both sides. Kitchen has lots of extras pots and pans, and spices. Also, flavors to add to coffee. Cabin is very clean and neat. Watch your head with the spiraling stair case going upstairs. Home owner is wonderful and easy to work with .

The cabin was very nice and cozy. The only thing you have to bring is your clothes and personal items. Everything else was furnished. The host was prompt in answering our questions The only suggestion would be is the location of the cabin. As soon as you turn onto Joy Ranch Rd., it's the 1st lot to the right on the corner.

All amenities were easily available - the house was neat, clean, cozy, and comfortable. We had everything that we needed and enjoyed our stay immensely. We look forward to returning next year.

This was our second stay here and again it was fabulous. The kitchen is fully equipped and even has different flavoring for coffee. Bed is comfortable and everything was very clean. It was just what we needed for a weekend getaway to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary!

My sister and I go on mini vacations once a month and this is one of the nicest cabins we have booked around the galax area! Did not have signal but the WiFi worked great!

This was our third trip staying at this cabin. We love it! Weather was a little cooler than expected for August but no one can predict the weather. Michelle is a wonderful, responsive host.

The property was even better than advertised. It had the feel of home: well appointed, warm and inviting. We were greeted every morning by a hummingbird, as we enjoyed coffee on the large front porch and in the late afternoon saw deer in the yard. Its proximity to the Blue Ridge Music offered opportunity to hear local artists perform traditional bluegrass and country music. Our time in the Rustic Cabin was one of the most relaxing and peaceful weeks we have enjoyed in years. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This cabin is one of the most well appointed homes we have rented. Beautiful would be an understatement! We rented for our visit to the Galax Fiddlers Convention, but would be a great cabin in the woods to just get away for a few days. Surrounded by trees, very serene. Decorative Pond and firepit area was awesome. You'll be impressed by the decor!

Really nice, tastefully decorated cabin. We could tell that the owners put a lot of effort into making their cabin a great place to stay. Extra clean which we appreciated. Well-stocked kitchen. Great shower. Nice linens and towels. We loved the front porch and spent a lot of time on it. The only negative is there’s no central AC and the house got rather warm in the afternoons but the 2 portable AC units cooled the house by nighttime and we slept comfortably.

This was our second stay at the Rustic Cedar Cabin. This cabin is well appointed, clean and very comfortable. The host is very easy to work with and booking is a breeze. We will be back for future stays in Fancy Gap. It’s definitely a 5-Star accommodation.

We had a transformer blow the first hour we were there but the electric company had us up and running in just an hour. We loved being out in the country and the only sounds we heard were light rain and the beautiful birds singing! We got to meet the owner and had her come down and sit on the porch with us and just talk about family and silly things. We fell in love with her and her cabin and we let her know that we would be back for another stay! This was by far the best place we have ever stayed. I am having trouble with your ratings but I have given everything an excellent.

Great cozy comfortable cabin in the mountains. Stayed two nights in the cabin, wish we could have stayed longer. Cabin is well stocked with necessities, Beds were extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. Cabin is clean and nicely decorated. Very easy to book, check in and check out was a breeze. Host lives close by and is very responsive to messages. Would highly recommend.

My brother and I needed a place to stay in the area while we rode our motorcycles all around the beautiful, scenic roads of VA, NC and TN. This cabin is wonderfully furnished and comfortable. The covered parking was perfect for our bikes, and the front porch and fire pit area are great for relaxing in the evenings. Thank you Michelle for being such an excellent host!

A lovely cabin, had everything I needed for 2 nights. Quiet location, spacious front porch, easy drive back to the interstate.

The cabin, both inside and out exceeded our expectations. Michelle was a great host and suggested a great local brewery in Galax where the food,the drinks and people were all great.

VERY CLEAN!!!! This is the first with vrbo where I did not clean anything when we arrived. It is beautiful and comfortable. We left from North Myrtle Beach on our way home to NW Ohio and wanted a place to sleep for one night. We fixed supper and breakfast in the cabin. The bed was very comfortable. Loved having a fireplace under the TV and also in the bedroom. Highly recommend. We will return.

Overnight stay left us wanting more. Cleanliness is HUGE with me and I saw that mentioned over and over in other reviews and guess what!? They were right!The home has everything. Perfect size for 2-4 people. We were just two people and we enjoyed some much needed solitude for one a one night stay but also didn’t feel like we were completely isolated if we did need something. I can guarantee that you will not want for anything. But the basics are within a few miles should u need anything. The house offers so much to look at and admire over and over again. I almost don’t want people to know about it bc it’s the perfect secret getaway. Thank you again to our hosts!

First of all, booking the cabin was easy, and all the communication was clear and accurate. When my husband and I arrived at the cabin, we were beyond pleased. The setting is truly peaceful. The cabin is wonderful. Every amenity you could want Michelle thinks of. The little extras she provides are amazing. The kitchen is fulling stocked with everything you could possibly need. Bed was comfortable and the fireplace in bedroom was nice. The decorations for Christmas were another added touch that we appreciated very much. We ventured into Galax and had breakfast at the Briar Patch Cafe and dinner at Creek Bottom Brewery and they both were very good. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us!

This weekend was a gift to my husband and (adult) son for my husband’s birthday. They loved the cabin! There were goodies left for them and they had everything they needed! It was very well stocked with anything you may have forgotten. It was a true gift of a trip for them. Michelle was a wonderful host and easy to reach!

My husband and I only stayed one night but both agreed we would definitely stay again. The hosts are gracious and generous providing lots of of great amenities and personal touches. We loved the 3pm checkin time and walking into the cabin to two beautiful Christmas trees lit and sparkling. It was a very chilly night and the fireplaces really helped to keep us cozy and warm. I would highly recommend this very lovely cabin to anyone!

This was an amazing stay. The cabin is cozy and decorated beautifully. There were even breakfast items of eggs, bagels and cream cheese. I’ve already made a reservation for April, but longer. 2 full days was not enough. We loved the peaceful atmosphere while sitting on the porch and around the fire pit.

Everything about the place made us feel welcome. Small things, like having the lights on and some things up and running, contributed to this sence of welcomness. Cabin and accomadations were clean and beautiful and things were labeled and organized. We particularly appreciated being able to do laundry. Setting was indeed rustic but cabin was anything but!

Our stay at the Rustic Cedar Cabin was wonderful from our very late arrival to our reluctant departure four days later. Our host made our accommodations so inviting and so complete, you cannot help but want to stay longer! The cabin was comfortable and very clean. The grounds were peaceful and so beautiful. I most certainly will want to book this cabin again.

Very cute cottage and was in a beautiful location. We lost power due to a storm but Michelle came by at 10 PM to give us an update on the power outage. She offered a full refund if we opted to stay somewhere else. We opted to stay and she discounted the rate. Superb customer service.

My family loved the cabin! We were sad we were only passing through. We would have loved to stay there to relax. It is 15 min from the Blue Ridge Music Center. The host provided some basics like coffee/tea, a few groceries to make French toast, and everything we needed to be comfortable like toiletries, extra blankets, games and books. The cabin was in excellent condition and also had a laundry room. The price was very comparable to staying in a hotel but was such a better experience!
