Enjoy a trip up North at the cabin! Small cabin sits out on a point of Long Lake, under giant pine trees, on a remote 40 acre property. Great boating, fishing, swimming, hiking. Screened front porch for lounging and quaint homey layout inside. Beautiful fireplace for cool evenings. Sleeping comfortable for 4 adults, can accommodate up to 4 more kids on fun bunk-bed style cots.

If you are looking for a place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life this is the place to be!! This rustic little cabin has the best location on the lake, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay, beautiful sunsets, supper quiet evenings, great fishing, no cell signal, and the best hand dipped ice cream just down the road at the antler gas station!! I can go on and on about this place, this is my families second time here and we absolutely love it!! Mary thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful place!! Greatly Appreciated! Joe L.
Cabin and property were really nice as expected.
We really enjoyed the stay at this cabin. The location is unique, so remote and private, the driveway goes on forever through the woods. The lake has minimal boat traffic and no immediately visible neighbors. Thank goodness, there is no TV, so my young daughter could focus on board games, books and exploring. We enjoyed having access to a canoe. Don't forget to bring a mosquito spray, they are very intense in that area. Be aware that there is no firepit.
Thank you, Mary, for such a quit and perfect place to disconnect. We loved the cabin and the land. It’s beautiful and we hope to return.
We stayed 4 nights in July with 2 adults and 4 kids and loved everything about the property. The property was exactly as described and exactly what we were looking for. The lake and setting are gorgeous and with 40 acres of space it feels like you have the place to yourselves. The kids loved the bunk beds and the cabin is classic with cool furniture and appliances and a beautiful sun porch. The kids were thrilled to catch so many fish and explored the woods and enjoyed the wildlife. We ran out of time before we ran out of things to do--4 whole days without them asking for their tablets is a win! The owner was helpful and responsive and welcoming. Overall, a terrific gem on the lake!!!
The cabin was fantastic! The solitude, the wildlife (loons, eagles, deer), the fishing on the lake (bass, pike, blue gill, crappie), the many canoeing trips--we loved it all! We swam in the lake, sat around inside an amazing screen porch and read, listened to the loons, ate wonderful food--it was great. The cabin has an abundance of chairs and reading lights, and given that our family loves to read we took full advantage of that. Our host Mary was very gracious and careful to make sure that our stay was a great experience. We would stay here again.
This is a very sweet cabin w/gorgeous views of a quiet lake from almost anywhere in the cabin. The knotty pine is fresh & warm, and the cabin remains cozy while feeling a bit more spacious than many others ... due in large part to the amazing screened porch (very necessary given the horrible mosquito situation this year). This lake is thankfully very quiet... on the weekend, some sounds of ATV users and gun-range/target shooters and the hydro planes nearby echoed over the lake, but there very little motorized boat traffic on the lake. Again, compared to many other places, this location is blissfully quiet and remote. The bed was very comfy & we enjoyed loon songs morning, afternoon, and nighttime. We saw deer, wild turkeys, goose w/goslings, and an otter while on the property. Having a canoe to use to take a couple of sunset spins on the lake was extra special. The cabin had most everything we'd need and expect. A toaster would have been nice, and we certainly do not expect cell/internet connectivity in a location like this, but we would like to have a guest book w/basic information on cabin operations and check-out, as well as emergency info, directions to local resources, etc. Also, the water tank is very small and the tub does not have a hand-held shower head; consequently, two adults had to space out time between baths in order to insure enough hot water. We'd love to come back in the fall...probably will try to make that happen!
This cabin is like walking back in time. It's exactly what you picture when u think of a rustic cabin in the woods. Could use a few amenities like a toaster and a grill brush but all in all we had a great stay. The only issue we had was a water leak in the bathroom sink so we only had cold running water. Unfortunately they couldn't get anyone in to fix it until after we left. It was a a little bit of a pain to have to use the kitchen sink to wash our hands. Other then that everything was great. The location was perfect.
My booking was a bit last minute.....so I wondered what I would be getting myself into.....I almost hate to tell people how wonderful it was as it will surely always be rented out the more people that know! The cabin and grounds are everything you could dream of for a week up north-- the driveway to the cabin is a beautiful drive through the woods and the property is situated on a quiet and mostly undeveloped lake. The owners are very responsive and attentive. the 5 stars I gave this stay are not high enough! you'll love it!
Mary was wonderful! Don’t hesitate to reach out to her. The property is breathtaking and full of nature. The screened porch and claw foot bathtub were both in the running as my favorite place. My husband and son loved the fishing. We borrowed a boat from a friend. There is a fun surprise on the porch that my kids LOVED! We are definitely wanting to visit again! I could go on and on, but know that this is the perfect place if you are looking to disconnect, bond with family, and enjoy nature! Please turn on and check the hot water for children (one of my common practices). It can get hot fast! Thank you for this opportunity!
