Stayed Jun 10, 2026Cozy cabin in the woods surrounded by birch trees. Quiet and serene location and easy to get to Palmer and Wasilla. Only a short drive to Hatcher Pass and the historic Independence Gold Mine and all the hiking trails in the area. Definitely an incredible experience to see the old mining camp in the surreal and beautiful landscape above tree line. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had all the kitchen supplies needed to make dinner and breakfasts there. Plenty of towels were nice after getting damp in the snow and the beds were very comfortable. The owner was responsive about an issue and we would definitely stay again. I stayed with my teen son and we both really enjoyed it.

Stayed Sep 23, 2025I stayed in this cozy cabin for 2.5 weeks while in town for a work project and had the best experience. The hosts were extremely friendly and had great suggestions for exploring the area. The cabin was clean and provided the perfect accommodations for a homie stay away from home.

Stayed Jul 30, 2025Check-in is easy. Cabin is very clean and cozy. Beds are comfortable. Close to the supermarket and hiking trails. The cabin is a little close to the road so you'll hear the traffic when you sit on the front porch but that's the only downside.

Stayed Jul 16, 2024The good first. Easy access yet nicely nestled in the woods, so the feeling of solace and privacy. The cabin itself just as listed but once inside much smaller but does have all the necessities you may need. It is a rustic cabin as noted which fits very well in the woods, but too rustic in parts inside; rough floor in the upper level and a little steep going up as you hold onto the railings.. not sure if is by design, but the owner should look into that. Still, I do recommend it and had a very nice time.
