Cozy. Nice remote cabin.

The cabin is a wonderful spot! We had a great time and all of our needs were taken care of!

It was cute, but not private, the basement had another family staying. So not a whole house rental. Because of that the basement was maintenanced during our stay after the other guest left and they shut off our hot water, the Host was quick to respond and it was taken care of, but we all missed being able to take showers for a night. We read the headline and didn’t notice the fine print we’d be sharing a house with a stranger. Perhaps our fault for not reading the fine print at the bottom of the ad. Overall clean, great location, helpful host.

This is the second time my family has stayed at one of the homestead hideaway properties and both times have been a perfect secluded family get away! The perfect place to relax.

Charming cottage with 2 large bedrooms. Kitchen was adequate for cooking simple meals and the dishwasher was out of order. Bathrooms are outdated and the sink upstairs was not cleaned. It would have been nice to have soap for the showers or at least been notified to bring some. Plenty of towels

Area very quiet. Very cozy, comfy, clean, and just perfect for us.

It was a great stay. Only issue was that the listing said there was WiFi and in actuality there was none and no cell phone service either.

Quaint it was. Cute and rustic. I hesitated rating 4 versus 5 on the accuracy of the listing part because I could have overlooked a couple things. No wifi was definitely a disappointment. Also, for some reason I thought there were 3 beds since it slept 6, not 2 beds and a pull-out. Pull-outs are so uncomfortable I don't count them as a bed. My disabled brother took the couch because he didn't want married couples sleeping on the couch.But even worse was the shower situation. You can't stand up in the one upstairs, due to the slanted roof, and there's no shower curtain either. The one downstairs has a fixed shower head directly above your head making rinsing very difficult. No bar soap was provided so fortunately I brought some from home.But let's end on a positive note. The bed upstairs was THE MOST comfortable bed I've ever slept on.I always suggest that the host stays in their property for at least a week.I mean no harm in this review. Danesa was very prompt and accommodating.

This property and location made for an excellent weekend. The separation of the units was well done with different parking areas, outdoor spaces and entrances. It made it feel independent.The seclusion was great but that also means next to no cell function. Definitely print or screenshot directions to and from here. It’s a wonderful property to disconnect.

This cabin was AMAZING!. so beautiful and quiet location away from the bustle of Galena. Fairly quick and beautiful drive to the touristy areas.

We had a wonderful stay! Great location, very private and peaceful. Only 20 minutes away from downtown and close to Galena Cellars. Definitely will come back for another visit.

Wish there was a shower upstairs and the place had internet but all and all great place. Would stay again next time.

Our stay was awesome as always. It's the perfect location while we visit family in the area. We've been coming up since 2017 and will continue to enjoy this beautiful cabin in the years ahead. It's always clean and our host always responds quickly. The full kitchen also allows us to cook together, and stay in during the colder seasons. The wood burning stove also brings comfort. Can't wait til our next visit!!

We had a great time walking around the property and hanging in the cozy cabin. The lack of internet was a plus for us!

This was my second time taking my husband (and our black lab) for his birthday since we loved it so much last year. I cannot imagine a more cozy spot. The cabin is perfect, well outfitted, so nicely decorated and the living room has the most comfortable couch facing an amazing fire burning pot belly stove, which we used a lot. The grounds out front are amazing... they created trails for walking around which we loved doing with our dog. I cannot say enough good about this place... the sleeping arrangements are great, the large tin tub is amazing, the proximity to Galena is so nice and the host is a great communicator, very accommodating and so sweet. We plan to go again next year and were so sad to leave!

Very quiet and enjoyable.

We loved the place, but there was no hot water to take showers or a bath. The water only got like warm for 1 min and then was cold. The cabin was cute, remote, quiet, and cozy. No phone service there, but it was nice and peaceful. They provided a phone line, movies and books.

I really enjoyed staying at the cabin! It was very peaceful and the bed was really comfortable. Loved watching the cows and I saw at least 3 cats I did not expect to be so far from town and it did keep me from going to some places later in the evening because I was afraid of driving in the dark but I enjoyed reading and watching the dvds that were at the house. One of the pcs to the puzzle was ripped also lol But all in all a wonderful stay!

Very peaceful quiet location and perfect get away from life's hurried world. We enjoyed the home, very clean and had every comfort we needed to enjoy our stay. The surrounding area was beautiful and being able to watch nature was a pleasure helping to unplug. It allowed us to enjoy each other on our special day. Thank you.

My husband and I had a great time staying at the cabin! It had everything we needed to have a relaxing weekend! Would highly recommend.

We booked the Seven Sisters Suite last minute - I think it was the only dog-friendly property available in a 20 mile radius for the weekend. It is remote as noted, and don’t expect cell service (though we did have 1 bar of service sitting on the balcony). Place was spotless and comfortable, plenty of space for my husband and I and are daughters (7 and 9) and our mini goldendoodle. We used the grill (there happened to be a half bag of charcoal leftover, which was lucky bc we completely forgot to buy charcoal and it would be at least a 30 min drive to go pick up more) and the fire pit for s’mores. Beds were comfortable and we all enjoyed watching the cows in the pasture across the street. The dog and I did a quick walk up the gravel drive and down the hill through the paths cut in the brush and it was lovely. We all remarked on how dark it gets in the house at night with the curtains closed. Like pitch black. Enjoyed going to the pool at Apple Canyon Lake. My one gripe is that the lower level was rented so I felt a bit bad for the ruckus our girls were making as they ran around exploring. I felt less bad when I was woken from a deep sleep after midnight by the downstairs neighbors who were talking loudly and maybe (based on the explosion/shooting sounds) playing video games? I put the white noise option on my phone and that fixed it. Would recommend screen doors be installed on the exterior doors. Lovely stay.
