Luray, Virginia
People describe the cabins, like a tree house above the river.
A large deck overlooking the river leads into a living room, with a flat screen t.v.
The loft area is a great hangout for the kids, I have even had adults say how much they enjoyed camping out in the loft.
Then you have the small.but adequate kitchen.
Bathroom to the right, with a shower and sink.
Then you are in the large Queen bedroom with a fireplace, and romantically decorated.
Outside you have a picnic table, grill and a nice fire pit. camp chairs are provided.
A nice concrete patio is where you will find a 6-person hot tub, with waterfall colored lights and jets.
For fun on the property, there are horse shoe pits and a volley ball net.
Over 1 mile of private river trails.
Beautiful Log Cabins built right on the river bank.7.5 private acres ,a 34 acre island for fishing, and private boat launch. This cabin offers mountain views as well as river frontage. Swim, canoe, fish or just relax in the Hot Tub.
They are secluded yet only 3 miles from Luray Caverns, Zoo and Country Club;only 10 miles from George Washington National Forest, New Market, Shenandoah National Park, and Shenandoah River Outfitters. Massanutten and Bryce Ski Resorts are within 35 miles.
Our cabin stay was great! The only negative thing I would mention is that the gas stove in the bedroom didn't seem to have propane and the heater in the bedroom did not work so it was cold. Other than that, beautiful place.
The cabin was very clean and inviting. It was just what we wanted for our little getaway. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions I had. The hot tub was perfect on cold November evenings. My 10 year old son thought that hanging out and sleeping in the loft was the coolest thing ever! We will definitely be back!
Nice and fresh
The cabin is very nicely built and super cute. One sleeping area is a fun loft that you do have to climb up to on very sturdy and well-made ladder. The cabin is right on the water and the views are lovely. Hot tub is very nice and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.
The property was exactly what we’d hoped for It was surrounded by amazing views and the location was quiet and relaxing. The property owners were extremely responsive when needed. We had an amazing and relaxing girls weekend We plan to visit yearly.
The cabin is very cozy, and includes everything needed for a weekend of activities and relaxing. Hot tub is awesome.
Close to different sights & activities. Shopping close by with plenty of choices for dining. Would book again. Slade & Michele
Great place to unwind and unplug. Quaint cabin overlooking the Shenandoah River was perfect us. Lots of trails nearby where we walked two of them and spent some time on the river with the canoe and took a short drive to Luray. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and quiet…perfect!
Absolutley perfect location for out-of-the-hubbub feel for a 10 minute drive to the park or Luray township. Great value and amenities!
Cute little cabin. Nice and clean. Shower was a bit on the small side, but we made due. Overall was a good stay. We went to fish, the river was a bit over crowded( memorial day weekend). Great outdoor setting. Owners were quick to respond to any questions.
My fiancé and I had a last minute change of plans and decided to head to the mountains for a few days. We were able to book this beautiful cabin within and hour to the night before we left. We received all the information needed from the hosts and arrived at the cabin the next night. The location is beyond perfect. The moment you pull up you the sound of the river begins to make you feel relaxed. We were able to enjoy quality time taking in the views, relaxing in the hot tub at night, and playing in the river in our muck boots. The inside of the cabin is perfect and all you need for a getaway like this. Bed was comfortable and waking up to the natural sunlight coming in from the top window was just what our souls needed. They have Wi-Fi that works excellent if you have to make a call or look up something online. We stayed for 2 nights and are already wishing we were back there at this very moment. We will definitely be going back. Thanks so much for this much needed escape.
The property was perfect. It was exactly what we were wanting; quiet and peaceful. The only sounds we heard was the rive. It was beautiful. We were close to town but it felt like miles away so that was really nice. There was a hot tub spa and a campfire ring. We were in need of quiet and rest and it was perfect for that. The only negative I would say was the bed mattress could be upgraded as it was a bit worn. We bought a mattress topper for the week and enjoyed the rest of our stay immensely.
Beautiful location on the water. Well kept cabin. Would love to return and take full advantage of the area and use the canoe next time. The hot tub was great after standing all day. Communication with the owners was immediately replied to and they even worked with my hectic wedding scheduling for check in and out. Thanks so much.
Very nice location and great cabin with everything you need to disconnect from busy life.
We had a really nice stay here. The listing is very accurate, there is not a lot in the kitchen and there is no oven but that was all clear before booking. It was very clean and the view of the river is really nice. The hot tub was AWESOME and the fire put and bbq were great. A very nice unplugged retreat from the city!
Check in was easy. The cabin was very clean. Perfect weekend away. We loved the view, the hot tub, and the bedroom fireplace! Bring extra blankets if you like them; the only blankets in the cabin we're the bedspreads/coverlets. That's the only thing I wished I had. Very basic kitchen items available (salt, pepper, sugar); you'll need to bring anything else. Nice supply of toilet paper and paper towels. Several local restaurants nearby and very close to Luray caverns.
Super cute cabin. My husband and I loved our little getaway. Loved the hot tub. Stayed Friday-Sunday. Check in and out was easy Down side:bed wasn’t really to our liking but someone else may love it. Bring your own towels. Smaller than it seemed in pictures and there is no oven. But overall good for a weekend getaway.
Great location just what we needed for a few days away
Great time
We are so happy we had the chance to stay at this lovely cabin. It actually rained for half the weekend, and we did not mind one bit, because the cabin was so cozy. The hot tub was such a nice treat at the end of the day, my husband loved fishing in the river, and we were just minutes away from top attractions like Luray Caverns. This was our first getaway as a family of three (with our four month old) and we would definitely do it again!
We were very pleased by the deck area and interior of the cabin with the hot tub being a nice extra along with the grill and fire pit. A great place to base while we explored the surrounding area to take in the views and the wonderful history.
It was so peaceful....the trees keep it quiet and the river behind the cabin is so relaxing to watch and wade in. We had a great time and would recommend to others.... two days is not enough, stay longer and relaxation is inevitable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful/relaxing stay at the cabin. It was very clean and well equipped. Really enjoyed the available amenities.
