Perfect place for a weekend getaway

The rooms were very clean. The hot tub was easy to adjustTemperature . It's just big enough for two people. And close to the door to come in and out, the cabin was only 30 minutes from Biltmore mansion.We also shopped in chimney Rock and went downtown Hendersonville, to eat . a lot of great places close by. I really enjoyed the peace and serenity of the cabin.

The cabin has a truly special, almost medieval charm that makes it feel tucked away in another time.The view from the balcony is stunning and peaceful, perfect for slow mornings or winding down at the end of the day. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything I needed to easily cook both breakfast and dinner during our stay.The hot tub was just right for two adults and added to the overall cozy, retreat-like feel.One important note. The stairs are quite steep. You need to be physically comfortable navigating them, so I would hesitate to recommend this cabin for older guests or very young children.Overall, a unique and memorable stay, full of character and a strong sense of place. We will definitely be back.

The cabin is beautiful and cozy. Great location, amazing views, and far away to feel relaxed without being isolated. Kirk is extremely nice, and he always responds to any questions in a timely manner. Very pleased!!!

Nice quiet location

This was a very cozy cabin with a beautiful wood burning fireplace. The property was private without being too far from stores and restaurants. We would stay here again.

Gorgeous property! The 1800s house is so quaint and cozy, everything was great. House was warm, comfortable bed, kitchen stocked! Clean and accommodating host! Definitely would recommend!

Quiet and cute!

Wonderful place to stay for a quiet winter mountain escape. Close enough to lots of things, but tucked away far enough to feel secluded. Had everything we needed: comfy bed, cozy living room, TV worked great (there were some ball games we 'couldn't miss'), well-stocked kitchen, and more! Very clean, too! Would stay there again. A

This cabin was amazing! Exactly as described and exactly what we wanted. Very close to small town eats and co-op style places. Secluded enough to feel away from it all. The fireplace is beautiful. We recommend this place 100%!

Good cabin. Not the cleanest. There were hair on pillow and sheet.

Our stay at Stonewood was, in a word, idyllic. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and the host was friendly and communicative. The listing was accurate as well. In terms of the cabin itself, it is easily accessible and convenient to downtown Hendersonville while feeling perfectly secluded (the road to the cabin is fairly flat and nearly entirely paved, so no challenging winding mountain roads or need for four wheel drive, at least in the summer). I favor more rustic looking cabins, and was very pleased to find that the renovations preserved a lot of the historic feel of the cabin while providing the usual modern conveniences one comes to expect. I particularly loved the decor, which was exquisitely tasteful and suited to the feel of the cabin as a whole (think antique wooden furniture, pottery, exposed beams, old books, glass shaded lamps, beautiful throw rugs over well-seasoned hardwood floors). The furniture is exceedingly comfortable, from the couch to the bed, and the kitchen has adequate supplies to cook a full meal if you should choose to do so. The internet worked well and was sufficient for streaming. The hot tub was also clean and well-maintained. If you're looking for a genuine 19th century Appalachian cabin in the woods that preserves a sense of history while being perfectly amenable to a modern traveler, you can't do better than Stonewood.

This cabin is ADORABLE! It was exactly what we needed- location was amazing for everything Fall about Hendersonville! The beds were comfortable, and the cabin had everything we needed! The best part for my son was the property itself, an adorable stream close to the house for him to explore, and my daughter loved reading on the porch!

The house was as pictured, maybe slightly smaller than I expected but I was not disappointed. The host was easy to talk to and very and responsive. The bed was very comfortable which we appreciated after a long day of hiking and walking. We usually like to cook some when out of town so the grill really came in handy. We had no issues when we used it.The house was in a quiet area and you really felt secluded when you pulled up. Our dog had a great time sniffing and checking out the outside of the property. I would stay here again!

Overall nice- give it 4.5 just because I had to kill a crapload of spiders in order to enjoy the porch and hot tub. A little bug barrier spray would be in order. In fairness, I only booked this the evening before I went- so maybe owner usually does that sort of thing. Nice quiet spot in the woods- clean and pleasantly rustic.

A little slice of heaven! Great location for hiking. Close to Hendersonville for all the conveniences. Tucked into a mountainside for absolute privacy and peace. Just rent it if you can. You’ll thank me.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this charming, historic cabin. The property is beautiful, and we spent a lot of time just walking it, soaking in the lush foliage and birdwatching. Cabin was well-stocked and comfortable. Owner was very responsive to any questions and took the time to answer each one thoroughly and graciously.

All the Five star ratings were right. Super clean, well equipped, quiet, comfortable, with plenty of things available to keep us busy. Great host and we'll return for sure.

This cabin is so unique, we loved our stay here. It was hard to believe that it seemed so remote but had all the tv and internet access. We loved the little hot tub and being surrounded by beautiful green forest! They had everything you would want or need and the whole stay was just amazing! We found great food Flat Rock and Hendersonville...just a short drive away.

The cabin was very cute. We enjoyed the historical touches in it and had everything we needed for a long weekend. The stairs were very steep and narrow, but other than that, the cabin was in a wooded beautiful lot and it was very peaceful. Not far from town once you got onto the main road. Definitely would stay here again!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this incredibly restored historic cabin. We were very impressed at how clean the cabin was and the grounds were beautiful. Everything was well stocked and functioned perfectly. We hope to be back soon!

Had the best stay at Kirk’s cabin! Was exactly like the pictures. True oasis in the forest. Close to Hendersonville and easy drive to Asheville. A lot of beautiful nature around that is easy to get to. Definitely listen when they say put chlorine in after each use for hot tub because it got cloudy after first use! Other than that, great stay and would recommend

Everything was lovely

Clean, neat, quiet and secluded. Even though the owner is very close by, you wouldn't know anyone was home. Would go back again. Prayers to the residents of Hendersonville. A lovely town that flooded due to Hurricane Helene.

My wife and I loved our stay at Kirk’s cabin. Despite the fact that Hendersonville is a very short drive away, the cabin is tucked away and feels secluded and peaceful. It had everything we needed for a comfy stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting on the front porch overlooking the beautiful wooded property. It might not be an ideal spot for older folks who are unable to navigate the steep stairs up to the sleeping loft or down to the private lower level bedroom, but for anybody else it’s a great place. We would definitely visit again.
