Riverside Cabin Near Torch Lake – Kayaks Included!

Our winter stay was wonderful! The cabin was cozy and well-appointed (we especially loved the woodburning stove), and the location is unbeatable - quiet and serene, but conveniently close to Kalkaska and Traverse City. Emily was super responsive before and during the trip, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our trip was enjoyable. We hope to visit again soon!

Loved our weekend stay at the cabin! The attention to detail is great (labeled light switches, well stocked supplies, etc.) and the cabin has everything you need to feel at home and comfortable.We loved kayaking on the river and proximity to the Torch Lake sandbar. Definitely would recommend for a family trip!

Serenity on the water! This place surpassed my expectations. The location is perfect if you are seeking a peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of life. It’s close to Torch Lake. It’s about 45 minutes from Traverse City if you’re seeking a busier, more touristy location with beautiful beaches for a day outing. The home was perfect for my friend and I and our 3 kids. There was more sleeping space had we needed it. The outdoor shower is amazing, so much that the kids fought over who could shower first! The host has thought of all the little things you may need. It’s stocked with plenty of regular and beach towels, shampoo and conditioner and body wash, and all the little things you may need on the fly. There’s a Dollar General nearby if needed. We had a little misunderstanding on check-out time. VRBO and the paperwork inside said 11am. Apparently this is changed to 10am in the summer. We communicated over the matter and the host was fixing that when I left. The host is one of the best communicators I’ve had for a VRBO. Take floats; you’ll love them in the river!

A perfect stay!! Such a charming, beautiful and thoughtful rental. The hosts are so helpful and responsive. No detail of a comfortable stay goes overlooked. The cabin is impeccably clean. The river in the back is so clear and serene. Being able to kayak on it was perfection!! So close to torch lake (definitely rent a boat!!!) and the cute village of Alden.

Beautiful home and lot. Loved how organized and clean the house was. Very well stocked no amenities were overlooked. The yard is so beautiful and relaxing. Again no details were overlooked. Plenty of linens and towels ,and cooking supplies and parking. Very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Hosts are very accommodating. Definitely 5 star

This property was perfect for our winter getaway. I was impressed how clean the cabin was. Emily was a great host and we would go back!

Cannot say enough good things about the host and property! Emily was in contact early and stayed in contact to make sure everything was perfect. The property is amazing, the river, cottage, ambiance makes you want to move up north. We will hopefully be coming back here every year!
