River's Rest on the Cartecay- Riverfront Cabin

We had a great time. Well stocked cabin with fantastic views and excellent river access. Arrived with everything we would need for the long weekend and only left via tubes in the river.

Another wonderful stay at Rivers Rest! The host, cabin, location are all the best! Great communication from the host and such a wonderful cabin to escape Atlanta for a few days and enjoy nature. We will visit again!

My parents were traveling from abroad and I wanted to have them experience with cabin. This was an excellent choice! Well stocked kitchen, cozy rooms and decor, hot tub, game room and very beautiful views! We, my parents and kids thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the stay! Carmen was very helpful and always available during our stay.

This cabin has it all! Family friendly, cozy, close to town. The sound of the river is just spectacular and so soothing. The cherry on top is that the hosts are phenomenal. Carmen is such a kind human and her communication is top notch! We stayed here six years ago and again this last week for a relaxing post Christmas vacation (see pics of boys below, same hill, 6 years apart)!

This cabin was beautiful and well appointed. Very clean and was stocked with everything you could possibly need. We truly enjoyed our stay. Alhough there are neighbors close by it was a very quiet neighborhood. The sound of the river was just icing on the cake. Carmen was very communcative and the welcome gift was a nice surprise. Would be our #1 pick next time we are in the area.

Everything was perfect! Carmen was great to work with, we had a death in the family and she was more than accommodating helping us find a better weekend. The cabin is cozy, well appointed and if you want your cares to melt away go out to the screened in porch and just listen to the river. We loved every minute and are looking forward to returning!

The cabin was an easy drive, though you might want a 4wheel drive to get out of the drive way lol. All and all it was a great place to stay. Wonderful view of the river. A very relaxing trip.

We had a wonderful time and found some great places in the Guest binder like tumbling waters trail and Long Creek Falls. The cabin was beautiful and so much fun being on the river. The hosts are fantastic making sure you are accommodated in every way possible. I recommend this cabin highly especially for families with multiple kids. Thank you!

The property was remote and quiet, but not too far from activities in the area. My family had a great time fishing and goofing around in the river. Hosts were great, experience was great, I would not hesitate staying here again!

Great cabin! Lots of space and things to do in the cabin, but we really loved the river. Went tubing right from the backyard. Host was excellent with communication.

This was our third trip to River's Rest! We found this property last year while looking for a place to take our girls on their Winter Break. We fell in love with the cabin and the location. This trip was wonderful as well and we will definitely return again! The hosts are amazing and rental process is seamless.

Everything was smooth and advertised. The only issue is the location. Super steep driveway and a bit rocky on the road leading to the cabin. Not uncommon. Would recommend using a rental vehicle if driving to avoid any possible headaches.

Our family stayed during NYE and it couldn't have been more welcoming. There were a couple issues that had nothing to do w the proeprty or the owners (weather causing power outages etc) and they were very communicative, accommodating and helpful. We stay in Ellijay often - this had to be one of the most relaxing, welcoming cabins weve been to!

The most natural, peaceful and amazing stay we've ever been to. The warm, friendly and thoughtfulness of the host is beyond words. Our family has selected this as one of our must do getaway places from now on. Words cant explain the amazing experience we've had.

We truly enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday stay at River's Rest. Everything was perfect!

We had Granddad and Grandma with 2 14-year-old girls and 1 12-year-old boy for a weekend retreat. They all squealed with delight when they ran through the cabin. After quick cabin tour, they ran for the river. Everyone had their own space. Lots of games-great porches overlooking the river-great fire pit and gas light table. Very well supplied. We went from ho-hum grandparents to the coolest grandparents ever! Definitely will stay again!
