Rivers Edge Hideaway Murfreesboro, Arkanasas

Our family loved this home. It was so quiet and very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, listening to the rain (and no mosquitos)! Our only complaint was the driveway - it was so very rough. If we had a low car, we would never be able to manage it.

The solitude and quietness, coupled with the beauty of the river, was one of a kind! It was extremely relaxing.....a perfect get-a-way for sure!

The cabin was ckean on the inside and very nice. The porch area had cobwebs hanging from the high fan and speakers and windows. Only one extra roll of toilet paper that the two bathrooms had to shsre. The area was beautiful and we would return. again.

I booked Rivers Edge cabin in Murfreesboro, I received confirmation from Expedia/Vrbo but never received confirmation or phone number or check in information from host. My husband and I drove about 5 1/2 hours along with my 98 1/2 year old father in-law (retired military, WW 2 veteran) and my mother-in-law who was turning 79. My sister-in-law also made the trip. We were excited about all being in one place, being able to fish, cook, play games, spend time enjoying the location and the company. Celebrating early Father’s Day and birthday. Check in was 4:00 but we didn’t arrive until 6-6:30. No one was around, the door was open so we went inside. Right away you could smell urine, see dirty foot tracks on the floor, hundreds of flies and bugs everywhere. The beds had not been completely stripped, some laundry was in the washer, the bathrooms had not been clean, (standing dirty water in one of the tubs), kitchen was filthy.. refrigerator hadn’t even been wiped out, counters had dirt and bugs on them, the stove looked like it hadn’t been clean in a while. “They had a check out list; strip beds, start laundry, haul trash”..none of this was done. Since I had no way to contact the host to let them know how disappointed we all were. We left and went into town and stayed at the Queen of Diamonds Inn. Unfortunately, we will NEVER get the time back to play and laugh and spend time all together like we wanted. Found out Rivers Edge is for sale. I will never recommend staying.

We love this property! It is relaxing and has a huge patio overlooking a nice river. We will continue to visit, but........ The first thing, I sat down in a patio chair and the leg bent and I almost fell. They have not updated the indoor or outdoor furniture since we first started going there 6 years ago. The bed in our room was disconnected from the headboard and sitting on pavers, that I stubbed my toe on. The other couples with us all complained about how uncomfortable the beds were. The furniture is well used. The kitchen utensils were in horrible shape. The grill was falling apart. They only had 2 rolls of toilet paper in the whole house, and we had 7 people. Obviously we had to go to the store for toilet paper and paper towels. The bath towels were tiny, very disappointing. The lights in the main rooms are either ALL on or ALL off, no in-between. You are right on the river, but the slope to the river is steep. They have small ropes tied to trees to help you get down, but they are covered in ants. There is an older canoe that you can use, but really no where to get into it without getting into the water or slipping down the hill. Steps to the water and a small area for the canoe would help immensely. The owners need to give this place some love, because it really is an amazing spot. If they are interested in selling, I would be interested in speaking with them. :)

Very peaceful place.

This place was absolutely lovely. We were a group of four 55 year old ladies and it was awesome to have everything on one level. The view out of the window in the living room was fantastic. We each had our own room, which was something I was looking to accommodate since

Very clean indoors. Beds were great. Nice rental. Would book again.

Everything was A-plus. Kitchen fully equipped, house clean, AND THAT DECK!!! WOWSER!!! We are naturists and this property did not disappoint. Our main purpose for this visit was to go to check out Crater of Diamonds in Murfreesboro and that was quite an adventure. The kiddos had a blast there and at the house wading in the creek. We will definitely book again. Thanks for hosting us.

We stayed for Spring Break and chose this home due to the proximity to the Crater of Diamonds State Park. It was close enough to town while also providing us with a serene and private location. The backyard was perfect for the whole family. We had three generations staying here so we fished, hiked, kayaked and went rock hounding in the streams by the cabin. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Would recommend for any family traveling near Murfreesboro!

Very cool secluded property on the river with excellent awesome deck and amazing view. Living areas are comfortable. A great place to entertain guests.

The cabin was amazing and so pretty. It was clean and lots of space. It was beautiful. The kids enjoyed the outdoors surrounding the property.

Nice and quiet, great location. The decks were great to hang out and visit. Enjoyed watching the otters early morning and just before dark.

Really nice home. Gravel road leading down to the house is a little rough from rain washout. Challenges were not having a key to lock up the house when we left resulting in crawling in window to access when locking to venture out. Didn’t feel good leaving my valuables in a fully unlocked house. Wish there was more glassware (1 wine glass and like 4 glasses). Hand washed each night. One of the recliners doesn’t work. Otherwise beautiful view and pretty quick access to town and crater of diamonds.

The cabin was nice. Lots of spiders webs on the house and the large deck. No keys where the house and one the door knobs kept falling off. It was a really nice stay and I would do it again.

We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin in Murfreesboro! The location right on the river was absolutely perfect for our family. My son was thrilled to catch a bowfin right off the dock, which was a highlight of the trip. In the evenings, we gathered around the fire pit to make s’mores with the kids, it was the perfect way to end our days.The cabin itself was spotless and very well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we cooked many meals there without once feeling like something was missing. The washer and dryer worked fantastically (and even smelled clean, which was such a relief, whew!). The bedrooms and bedding were fresh and comfortable, and we all slept great.We especially loved the canoe provided with the cabin. It came with paddles, and we were able to take it down the river several times, which made for some of our best memories of the trip. Having that right there at the cabin added so much to our stay.Beyond the cabin, there was plenty to do in the area. We searched for diamonds at Crater of Diamonds State Park three times (so much fun for the kids!), had dinner at Telinga’s Mexican Restaurant, and explored the Gypsy Underground and all the neat little shops around the roundabout in town.Everything about this stay was just right. From the clean, cozy cabin to the location and activities, it was the perfect stop for our family. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Murfreesboro!

Great place

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was Awesome and so were the views of the river. William was very helpful and prompt when we needed to ask questions. Would definitely stay again if going to that area. Was our 1st visit to Murfreesboro

We enjoyed the seclusion of the cabin and made the most of the location. The guys spent many hours fishing and utilizing the canoe to enjoy the river. The living room provided a great space to gather at the end of the day, but still enjoy a wonderful view thanks to the glass panes in the garage door.

The property was absolutely stunning if I could give 100 stars I would! We floated on the river which was also amazing. The house stayed cold during the hot parts of the day. And it was very clean!

So peaceful! We absolutely loved the cabin. It was very clean, I seen some comments about spiderwebs but the only ones we saw were outside. Which is to be expected you are in the middle of the woods. Wasnt the best swimming spot but my nephew loved the fishing! Will hopefully visit again. The host was great and always responded quickly by text.

We loved the property and the location was beautiful. It did not have enough coffee mugs (3)and forks(5). We purchased mugs and left them there. We used plastic ware and left a box in the kitchen. The cabin was spotless. The wrap around porch was our favorite gathering spot with amazing views.

Great stay. A few more forks to eat with, paddles and provide life jackets or say to bring some for the canoe. Great time, very nice cabin in the woods.

Very nice relaxing way to spend time with wife, son daughter in law and granddaughter. Enjoyed the house, the property, and the town. Only thing I can recommend are paddles for the canoe. Lol

Over all our stay was great, house was cleaned and ready to go, there was a canoe there but it was half full with water so we count use it.

The cabin was a spacious and beautiful. Couches and bed were wonderful. It was fully stocked for cooking and coffee in mornings. Nothing like sitting outdoors and enjoying the view of the river. We all had a wonderful stay.

We absolutely love the Rivers Edge hideaway! It was clean, cozy and well-stocked with everything you would need for cooking your own meals. We liked that they had a keurig and a regular coffee maker as well.We had a great time in the diamond fields with the advice of Joseph at Mufreesboro hardware. We bought sifting screens from him, and he showed us some diamonds and other gems to look for while hunting.We will definitely stay at the river's edge again. FYI, our GPS took us to the wrong address on Dynamite Hill rd. Make sure you look for a blue canoe and old factory site Road.

Beautiful spot. Loved fishing from the deck and bank. Grill is under covered porch so we could cook though it was raining. Short drive to the state park. Our bed was squeaky and the doors noisy, so woke up during the night quite a lot but that's maybe expected when stay8ng with a group.

Great place to stay and get away!!

We’ve been coming for Arkansas to visit family for over 20 years. This was probably our favorite place to stay. Loved the deck and river access. Beautiful and well stocked kitchen. Only thing I would change is some bunks in one of the bedrooms for kids. Overall very nice and would definitely return.

We had a great stay only issue was we clicked on the directions in this app and it took us somewhere different down the road. I was able to reach property owner and he helped us get there.

The cabin was stocked well. It was clean. The River view is priceless and peaceful!
