Riverfront home on South Holston River Perfect for Fishing, Hiking, Relaxing

The home was perfect for a quiet getaway. The owner was a joy to deal with, the home was clean and full of anything a guest would need from flashlights to cooking spices. I would highly recommend this property.

Once again, a wonderful stay! We have stayed here 3 times, all for Thanksgiving and it has been perfect. We hope to visit this summer and see it in its summertime glory - and maybe get to stick a toe in the river!

The property far exceeded my expectations. There were eight of us in our party ages 35ish to 78. We all were very comfortable on the property, from grilling, to cornhole, to fires in the fire pit. The kitchen accommodated several of us scurrying around to get meals ready. With so much supplied by the host you won’t want for anything. The deck was a gathering place for coffee, drinks and conversation. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. You will not go wrong in booking this house from Betty and Dan, gracious hosts who recommended a restaurant for us that we thoroughly enjoyed. We were in Bristol for the NASCAR races. We went on Friday for Xfinity, but chose to stay at the property on Saturday, we just couldn’t tear ourselves away.

We were three couples with kids in the area for a baseball tournament and the property was perfect for our needs! The boys loved fishing in the river on their downtime and we all enjoyed hanging out by the fire pit at night and cornhole tournaments (we brought our own boards with us). The hosts are amazing, quick to respond, house is well stocked with all the essentials, and allows for you to have a stay you will enjoy. Groceries are only about 15 minutes away, so close enough for us to plan accordingly. After long, hot days on ball fields, this was perfect to unwind and relax, cook our own meals, and have some fun as families… things you cannot replicate in a hotel. We will be back.

We had to unfortunately cut our vacation short but after discussing with the host they truly understood the situation and have worked with me. Such an amazing and wonderfully host. I would definitely come back here. Amazing river right behind the house

The house was as advertised - clean and well-stocked. The check-in & communication with Betty was easy & quick. What made the trip for us was the incredible view out of the back of the house! Note that there are a few rental cabins in very close proximity to the house, which are not shown in pictures or otherwise referenced.
