Stayed Dec 29, 2025Our group of 8 (adults and kids ages 10-15) had a wonderful New Year's getaway at River Pines Retreat! The house is modern, beautiful, and very clean with many lovely touches throughout that reflect the beauty of the mountains. We especially loved the outdoor fire pit, where we spent most of our time, along with the very large and warm indoor fire places. The hot tub was a treat as was cooking in the beautiful kitchen. We cooked all of our meals at home, played games, enjoyed the spacious yard, and loved disconnecting and spending time together. The large reclining couch was a dream for all of us to relax on and watch movies. Courtney was a responsive and gracious host who answered any of my questions promptly. I would highly recommend this property to others and wish the owners many happy memories with it! Thank you for sharing this wonderful property with others!

Stayed May 24, 2025This house and property were even better than advertised. This is either a brand new house or extremely well maintained by the owners. The location also was exactly what we were looking for - not too far from town to get groceries and a short drive from Shenandoah National Forest. The house had plenty of space indoors and outdoors for our family to relax and spend time together. The owner was very responsive on any and all questions.Wish we had been able to stay a few more days!
