Common Concerns:
*Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins requires a 4-wheel drive under normal weather conditions, but some do in inclement weather.
*TV & WiFi: We do have TVs and WiFi in most of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem.
*Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Fall/Winter is ladybug season in the Smokies, and these little buggers are attracted to heat, meaning your cabin and every other one out there that is warm! They will swarm to the cabin, and you'll probably see them alive/dead on windowsills, in vents, etc. Rest assured that your cabin has regular pest control and is professionally cleaned, including bug removal, before and after your stay. However, these bugs come back right away, and unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about them until the season passes. Please never feed, taunt, or approach any wildlife. This is their home, and we are the visitors.
*There are no refunds for storms or power outages. If there is a power outage, there will be no water and potentially no heat. Storms can also make roads impassable, so if a storm is in the forecast during your reservation, come prepared with water and non-perishable food, etc.

Very tranquil and relaxing getaway. Stocked well, clean, lots of amenities. A little challenging to navigate into the river but found a very cool cave about 30 feet up directly across from the cabin.

Great location just far enough away from everything so that you can enjoy the wildlife and relaxation! Took a little drive to explore the areas around; Cades Cove, Ober Mountain, Pigeon Forge, and Maryville, but very happy to get back to the quiet cabin and sit on the porch and listen to the water flow by while the geese and otters visited. There weren’t many fish in the river at the time of our visit, but it seems there may be more at different times of the year according to the Little River stocking schedule.

We traveled by Motorcycle to ride in the Smoky Mountain area. We had three couples who all enjoyed their own spaces with the king beds and ensuite bathrooms! We spent a lot of time on the deck as well as in the little river! It was a perfect place to relax after riding in the area. I did call into the property manager once and received an answer to my question with no problems! We found everything we needed in the kitchen and used the grill every day. The only issue we had was the lighting over the bathroom mirrors could be stronger, but we weren't getting ready for an event so it wasn't that big of a deal. If we didn't live so far away we would definitely return for another visit! Will consider this property if we ever do return to the area!

The seclusion and tranquility of the property set the tone for the start of our summer. A big bonus is its nearness to the Smokies. Our kids loved being so close to the Townsend Wye! The home was very clean. The managers were also very responsive. Overall, I highly recommend this home.

The Getaway on Little River was fantastic! Two couples stayed for four days. We enjoyed a dip in the river (although access is difficult), nightly outdoor fires in the beautiful stone fireplace, cooking on the gas grill, and relaxing in the hot tub on the back deck. The glider and Adirondack chairs on the back deck provided a complete escape to nature, where you could watch ducks and otters and listen to the river - there is no better place for morning coffee! The cabin was well-appointed with comfortable beds, linens in good condition, and electric reclining sofas. The fridge had an ice-maker, and everything was very clean upon our arrival. I would not hesitate to book this cabin again!

We were here over memorial weekend for a sister's trip and it was perfect for us and what we needed/wanted. Close enough to Gaithersburg/ Pigeon forge with being in the middle of everything! Private quite and beautiful. Beds were comfortable.
