River Bend is a cozy, romantic studio cabin located on Little River in Townsend, TN. Known as The Peaceful Side of the Smokies, Townsend sits next to the national park and is only minutes away from Cades Cove, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

This studio cabin has everything in one room. In one corner there is a fully equipped kitchen (minus dishwasher) and dining set. The living room with a gas fireplace & cable TV sits in another corner. The whirlpool bath is in one corner with the comfy king size bed. The other corner is the private bathroom.

After a busy day of sightseeing, you'll love returning to the warmth and comfort of River Bend and relaxing on the back porch overlooking Little River. There is also a bonfire pit for your enjoyment.

FOR OUR PET FRIENDLY VISITORS:

PETS MUST BE APPROVED BY MANAGEMENT PRIOR TO RESERVATION. We reserve the right to refuse any pet at any time. We would like for you and your family (including the four-legged members) to have the best vacation ever and appreciate your willingness to abide by these guidelines.

*We only accept dogs; no cats allowed. We only accept 2 pets per reservation.
*We charge a $70.00 per stay per pet fee, which is not refundable.
*Your dog must be on a flea maintenance program. (Like Frontline, Advantage, etc.)
*Your dog must be crated while left in the cabin alone.
*Your dog must not get on our furniture. If we find pet hair on our furniture upon your departure, you will be charged $10.00 per each quilt/comforter/sofa that must be cleaned to remove dog hair.
*If your dog damages our vacation home in any way, ie, urine on the carpet/floor, chewed furniture/walls/doors or molding, you will be held responsible for the damage repair costs.
*Your dog must be leashed when outside of the cabin. This is for the safety of your dog as there may be other animals in the area that could harm your beloved pet.

IMPORTANT: Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY check-ins or outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day

Check-In:
*3 pm - there is NO check-in office, you go straight to the cabin

Check-Out:
*10 am - Please follow our checkout guidelines.

Fireplaces:
*On During: October 1st - April 1st

Common Concerns:
*Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins requires a 4-wheel drive under normal weather conditions, but some do in inclement weather.
*TV & WiFi: We do have TVs and WiFi in most of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem.
*Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Fall/Winter is ladybug season in the Smokies, and these little buggers are attracted to heat, meaning your cabin and every other one out there that is warm! They will swarm to the cabin, and you'll probably see them alive/dead on windowsills, in vents, etc. Rest assured that your cabin has regular pest control and is professionally cleaned, including bug removal, before and after your stay. However, these bugs come back right away, and unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about them until the season passes. Please never feed, taunt, or approach any wildlife. This is their home, and we are the visitors.
*There are no refunds for storms or power outages. If there is a power outage, there will be no water and potentially no heat. Storms can also make roads impassable, so if a storm is in the forecast during your reservation, come prepared with water and non-perishable food, etc.

FEES: The management company of this cabin charges a $20 per stay Damage Waiver Fee to every customer. It is automatically included in your rate. This covers our guests for up to $350 worth of accidental damage should damage occur during their stay. If damage occurs to the cabin, furnishings, etc, please report it to management as soon as possible so that the damage can be repaired. You may opt out of paying the $20 damage waiver fee by putting down a $350 REFUNDABLE damage deposit.

✨ Peace of Mind & Travel Insurance:
I want your stay to be stress-free and enjoyable. Please note that this home has a strict cancellation policy. Because life can be unpredictable, we encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance for extra peace of mind. This way, you can book with confidence knowing you’re protected no matter what comes up. This can be done at www.insuremytrip.com where you can pick the coverage that suits your situation.

There was hair in the bathroom floor from previous visitors. When leaving I took the trash out to the bin & there was trash left in it from the previous visitors and the smell was awful.

Property was just as described, if not better. The back porch overlooks the river and you could spend all day watching people float down on tubes. Private but close to everything. Hosts were wonderful. They provided a digital guidebook that had important information about the area, including a local restaurant section. We will definitely be staying here again!

Cabin was nice, but the showerhead needs to be lower. Very difficult for shorter family to shower.

Shower is way to small , must be for kids adults shoulders rub both sides , camp ground across river looks right into cabin and can see the whole back deck , very clean, not private, if your family is staying in campground it is nice to stay close . Otherwise skip .

Great place to stay on the quiet side of the Smokies. Stayed cabin similar to this 30 years ago for our honeymoon and came back looking for something similar. The area has changed a bit over the years but still retains its quiet side charm. Good porch and deck to sit during rainy days. Be sure to visit Peaceful Side Social and The Abby.

We had stayed at this property 2 years ago and enjoyed the cabin, river, proximity to sites we wanted to see. But mostly, we were looking to chill for. a few days - which we did. Had a bit of excitement seeing a black bear at the cabin two days while there. *I would not recommend allowing small children free access to the outside without adult supervision based only on this. For us, it was an opportunity to see nature on display! I would recommend River Bend for anyone wanting a getaway trip!

This was the cutest and coziest cabin I’ve stayed in. It fit all our requirements with a hot tub, fire pit, plus modern features inside. We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub while it was raining under the covered deck. The cabin is as close as you can get to Cades Cove. It was charming and clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it!

Property was lovely. The cabin was nice however when we arrived it had not been cleaned at our check in time. Also there is definitely some type of critters living in the ceiling/walls that we heard every night.

Great place to stay, bed was super comfortable. Lots of room and used the hot tub every night. Great view of the river and lots of critters to admire. parking is longer than other cabins away but sidewalk is in good condition. One note you have to drive down a private drive on gravel to get to the cabins, we were a little cautious with all the signs posted at the entrance. Would definitely stay again.

We like the one room compact cabin, perfect for 2 seniors. Nicely decorated, very clean. The back deck with a view of the river is a big plus for us. As others mentioned, the shower is small and it is difficult to turn around in. There is a long walk from the parking to the cabin door which can be a problem when it is raining. Otherwise, we hope to return next year.
