Rippling River Cabin: Nature's Paradise On The Shenandoah River

The cabin and land were great! We planned to go hiking nearby with the kids, but they were having so much fun that we played at the cabin all weekend!

Great place to get away and more space than we expected. We will be back!!!!

We loved the location- campfires at night and listening to the river. House fit us perfectly as a family of 6.

We absolutely love this property. We try to stay there once or twice a year just to get some time away from busy life and enjoy the fire pit down by the river. The ownership always makes it an easy experience. It’s a very comforting home.We left a little extra firewood, stacked up by the driveway for the next visitors.Appreciate you letting us stay as always!

The views from the property were lovely. There were plenty of activities on property for fun and relaxation. The layout was perfect for our family and we appreciate the ability to have our two dogs with us as well. The location was near beautiful hiking trails as well as Luray Caverns. It was also close to a grocery store which made it convenient to buy what was needed for cooking delicious family meals.

A great stay! Was sad that the jet tub wasn’t working! But other than that… would love to come back in the summer and experience the river!!My daughter and family had a great time!Thank you so much!Sharon Skinner

The lot was great! Right on the river with pretty leaves and a great view of the stars at night. There is a large yard to hang out in as well.

Had a great time here. Only thing that threw me off was the lack of linens provided. This was mentioned as part of the check in instructions by email but would appreciate it if the host included that information in the listing. It's very easy to miss in a long email. Guests need to bring their own sheets and towels.

Cabin was clean, private, had good river access, and lots of places outside to sit upstairs and downstairs. Very near grocery store/restaurants/activities (we went to Rescue Zoo & Luray Caverns.

Beautiful home, quiet location with the Shenandoah River access. Secluded, but close to all shopping and restaurants, as well as Skyline Drive and Luray Caverns!

The house was very clean, ample room for the six of us to move about. Had everything we needed.

My husband enjoyed his birthday weekend getaway. The location was perfect for the activities he wanted to do.

Beautiful house and property, impeccably maintained

This is a beautiful property. Clean and well maintained. They have many things onsite for guests to use and enhance their stay. Canoe, horseshoes, corn hole, games, puzzles. We had a wonderful stay and relaxing vacation.

Wonderful cabin with a lovely view and sounds from the river. Perfect weekend getaway for my family. Very clean and plenty of space for the 4 of us. We loved sitting on the large deck and enjoyed fishing and floating on the river.

The cabin is nice and the location is great! Listening to the water while reading and watching the kids play was exactly what we needed. Perfect distance from cute coffee shops, the caverns, even a great little theater. Will definitely stay here for our next visit to the area.

Very attractve and well decorated cabin. Amenities were good. Loved all the decorative bears! I very much appreciated the beautiful deck with water view. I wish driveway a little close for bringing everything in. Very relaxing stay.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The place was clean and perfect for us. Bringing our own sheets was a bit of a negative and the beds in the room with the two beds were very old and not comfortable but we made do. The hosts were kind and easy to work with. The views and sounds are #1.

Stayed 2 nights. Cabin exactly as described. Very clean. Close to town but felt far away. River was high but fishing was good. Will look to stay here again.

The river view is wonderful and the property is close to the Luray.

Luck to be in the mountains! Another great stay on the river. Was able to walk the river this time it was so warm. Great time with family and spotted a bald eagle this time.

We chose this location based on it's proximity to JMU and VA Tech as our kids had overlapping spring breaks. Wow, did we choose well. Absolutely beautiful property with all the amenities. We would love to come back in the summer when we can make even greater use of the river. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful stay over the holidays. Quiet, peaceful property....you can fall asleep listening to the fliw of the river. Cabin was great.

We stayed two nights and could have stayed forever! Perfect setting and accommodations for my wife and I and our 4 grandkids ages 6-11. Everyone had a great time inside with the games and puzzles and outside with the large backyard on the beautiful South Fork of the Shenandoah River. The fire pit was perfect for an early evening around the fire and making S’Mores. Luray Caverns was spectacular and only 15 minutes away. Our wildlife viewing consisted of only one rabbit but we found over 200 black bears decorating the interior of the cabin! Great experience for all of us.

The owners have thought of everything. Games, relaxing places to sit on the deck and even under it! A big porch swing, hammock and a couple of tables and comfy rockers. The sound of the river was music. The stars were awe-inspiring. Will definitely come back. The only reason for the 4 stars for description is that the Propane grill was rusted through and we were not able to use it. However, there was a charcoal grill as well, and it saved the day. We still had an amazing supper. Love this cabin so much! eating dinner. it. in come back

Our second time enjoying this beautiful and peaceful property! We love where it is, the river sounds and everything the ambiance of the cabin offers. We will stay again.

Loved the spaciousness of the cabin. Had a great time with family. There were a few things that were a little miss leading. First, the pictures made the yard look like it went straight to the bank of the river. However, there are two small banks to go down. Not a problem just wanted to point this out. Second, the road to get to the cabin is a 1 1/2 mile dirt road. Again, not a problem. The cabin was complete with all we needed. There were things like bug spray, charcoal, baggies among lots of other things in case you forgot your own. The large deck was very nice to hang out on. The cabin is private. Would definitely would recommend. The one thing we seen and could do without was a very large black snake at the step going up. HA
