Ricketts Glen Fern View Cabin

The cabin was pretty clean, and smelled good! You can hear occasional vehicles, but the location it beautiful regardless. Will definitely return.

The cabin was extremely clean, well maintained and spacious. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the items you’d need. The beds were comfortable and the views priceless. The outdoor setup was absolutely amazing with many different places to sit and enjoy the view of the woods. It is such a beautiful place to stay at and we really enjoyed its proximity to Rickett’s Glen. Communicating was easy and also very easy to check-in.

Host answered questions promptly. Cabin was very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here over the cold January long weekend and were absolutely blown away by how warm and cozy the cabin was! It’s simple, yet thoughtfully set up with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had such a wonderful time and would absolutely love to come back again in the summer.

Great secluded location off the main road. There is one other viewable cabin. Easy drive to Ricketts Glen State Park with the lower end Falls Trail just down the road a few or a 10 minute drive up the mountain to the main park entrance. Driveway entrance was always a bit difficult to see, but Ricketts Glen Hotel being across the street helped with locating. Main road is fairly flat with 55 mph speed limit so caution should be taken when looking for driveway entrance. Wi-Fi was not mentioned, but nice surprise and very helpful for stay. Roku TV now instead of video library. Cabin is comfortable for a couple and two kids or three adults max; otherwise, I feel it would be too much for this small, cozy cabin. Hope to stay here again in two years when I expect a need to stay in area again.

Everything was great. The cabin was definitely tucked away. Fire pit was ready to be used, so was the grill. Everything was clean. Plenty of stuff in the kitchen to be able to use the kitchen. Top marks all around.

The property was amazing, location to Ricketts State park is perfect. The only surprise was we had to bring our own bedding and towels. Besides that, we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect spot to get away for a few days and enjoy just being outside

The cabin is simple and compact but had everything that we needed…bedrooms, bathroom, full kitchen and comfortable living room. The property is gorgeous (tree canopy and ferns as the understory) and the fire pit (with ample wood provided!) was perfect for a relaxing evening after visiting 30 waterfalls in 1 day (53 waterfalls in 3 days). The house is convenient to Ricketts Glen State Park and Red Rock Scoops, which has great ice cream with some unique flavors for a reward after our long hikes.

Beautiful cabin. Not huge, but not too small either. Very clean and well-maintained. Property is quiet and secluded, but also very close to Rickett's Glen, country store and variety of dinner options. Try the fish and chips at Crooked Creek. 10/10! Burger and waffle fries were fantastic also. Had to cut our trip short but will be coming back soon. And Jeff, the host, is a pleasure to deal with.

Gorgeous place with all your creature comforts of home but secluded enough to be away from it all. We loved all the hikes and beach at Ricketts too and being close!

This place had everything you would want in a cabin. It had party lights strung up outside a huge fire pit and outdoor picnic grill. Outdoor seating on the front porch a beautiful trail in the woods. It was perfect.

Everything you need for a quiet comfortable stay in the woods

Very nice cabin in the woods. Nice fire pit we brought our own wood so we didn’t have to pay extra. Make sure you bring your own BLANKETS sheets and towels. Beds are not comfortable and bunk beds make a-lot of noise. Owner is quick to respond.

Jeff was very accommodating and responded to our messages immediately. Nice fire pit with firewood for purchase on the property. Very close to Ricketts Glen State Park also.

Perfect secluded location minutes away from ricketts glenn state park

The cabin was exactly as described in the post. The location was perfect: close to Ricketts Glen and near several restaurants for dinners. The host responded quickly to questions and concerns. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We loved our stay here! Cabin is gorgeous and so cozy, clean and new! We enjoyed every minute! Will be back again for sure!

Went hiking at Ricketts Glen. Stayed at the cabin for two nights. Very close to the park. Great spot to stay.

What an amazing little cabin in the woods! Our host was awesome - super friendly and even greeted us when we arrived, which made us feel so welcome. The place was cozy, quiet, and felt so secluded, surrounded by beautiful mountain views. The location couldn’t be better - just a couple minutes from Ricketts Glen State Park, which made it super easy to explore. We loved that there were extra space heaters in each room to keep us warm at night (a huge bonus if you’re visiting in the winter). Watching the snow fall while being snug inside was magical. This spot is perfect for a family getaway or bringing your dogs along. We had such a relaxing time and would totally come back!

We throughly enjoyed our stay this past weekend. Wonderful and clean cabin. The peace and quiet was great. Great communication from the host. We loved it and will definitely be back up when warmer weather comes so we can enjoy it even more.

We loved everything about the cabin. It was clean, homey, secluded, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the setting, bbqing on the grill and relaxing around the campfire. We have recommended this place and want to come back again.

Owner was very responsive and friendly. We stayed here because it was so close to the park. Trip was great despite the rainy weather.

We just loved this house! It looked brand new and was impeccably clean. A lot of thought went into the outside area as well with a giant fire pit, available wood, and lots of chairs. We also enjoyed the spacious porch. Jeff is an excellent host and very responsive.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights with our pup. It's the coziest little cabin, perfect for us. It's also very private, which we loved! Would stay again!
