Turning point cabin was the perfect setting for a little weekend getaway! Debbie and Jeff had a lot of helpful information on the area and were super responsive with any questions or concerns we had. The cabin itself was beautiful and offered panoramic views! The kitchen was stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need. My group took advantage of the board game collection. It was the perfect way to end the night after a day of skiing at Cataloochee, which is just a quick drive away. All in all, we were very happy with our stay and would come back in a heartbeat!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this cozy cabin in Maggie Valley, and it was an unforgettable fall retreat. The views were absolutely stunning, with vibrant autumn foliage all around, making every glance outside a real treat. The cabin was well-maintained and thoughtfully decorated, capturing that rustic charm while providing all the modern comforts. The kitchen was a standout feature — fully equipped with everything you’d need for a home-cooked meal. From high-quality cookware to all the necessary utensils, it felt like cooking at home, but with a view of the mountains! It was great for cozy breakfasts, with plenty of space to prepare meals if you wanted to stay in.The cabin’s location was perfect, nestled in a quiet area but still close to nearby trails and attractions in Maggie Valley. Whether you’re looking to explore the Great Smoky Mountains, enjoy local restaurants, or just relax by the fireplace, this cabin offers the best of both relaxation and adventure. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a peaceful mountain escape, especially in the beautiful fall season!

Best cabin ever. Hosts are kind, engaged, and very welcoming. Accommodations are very comfortable and pristine. There is no better view off the deck or out the bedroom window. If you can't find what you need here, you don't need it.

From the moment we walked in the door seeing the whimsical mud room and an amazing country kitchen around the bend, we were in love with Turning Point! The views are breathtaking. Morning coffee on the covered porch. Wine and cheese on the lower deck spilling over to the fire pit area. Games and puzzles on the massive great room table. Comfy beds and incredible bathrooms - one with a window IN the shower! Details, details, delightful details. The Maggie Valley area near Waynesville has such terrific eateries, breweries, hikes, waterfalls, shops andddd many great locations to enjoy sunsets! The Blue Ridge Parkway is very accessible. The sunrises were spectacular from the loft and the covered porch of Turning Point. We will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed this cozy cabin up in the mountains near Maggie Valley! It was more than large enough for our family of 5 (two adults, kids ages 6, 9, 11) and the cabin was VERY well decked out for family fun with tons of games, books and two tvs (set up for streaming) in different parts of the cabin. The cabin itself was spotless when we checked in; the kitchen was the best stocked rental house we’ve EVER stayed in, and the views from the porch while quietly sipping my morning coffee couldn’t be beat! I only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the cabin to its fullest- it is almost a destination for relaxation in and of itself!

Turning Point cabin was the perfect place to unplug for a long weekend. What struck us - besides the beautiful sunrises on the porch - was how clean everything appeared. No dust accumulated on items and the home had a welcoming feel. We also appreciated the surround sound and outdoor speakers, as we're big music fans. If you're there to hike, you'll have to drive a bit to get to the trails but if you're looking for seclusion and peace, too, this is it! Thank you, Deb, for being a truly wonderful host. If it wasn't such a long drive from our NC coast we'd be back on a regular basis :)

Our family has stayed in mountain cabins at least 7 times. Always nice, but this cabin was extra special. Every aspect of the decor was tastefully done, and a cut above expected. Comfortable seating inside for relaxing and meals. Coffee on the porch in the morning was delightful. We especially liked the library in the loft and all the information about the area was used and appreciated. The kitchen was loaded with everything you could need. My husband was so pleased to find truly sharp knives for his use. (He’s the cook.) The cabin has easy access to the main roads and not too far to grocery shopping

We loved staying at the cabin - the sunrise view, the lookout across the valley, the quiet evening at the firepit, and relaxing inside after hikes and exploration. Sitting on the porch in the morning and having a hummingbird hang out with us was a lovely moment. The kitchen has everything you can possibly need and more. If you like firm mattresses, you will have no trouble sleeping - the bed downstairs is softer, so that's an option. Jeff and Deb are great hosts - gift basket, excellent communication and thoughtful notes + information, definitely made us feel welcome. Wish we could have stayed longer!

One of the best homes I've rented in The Great Smoky Mountains in the past 20 years of visiting. The home was stocked with everything you can imagine. Jeff and Deb were very helpful during our stay for 5 nights. The views were exactly as described in the details of the property. However, there are three things I would like to point out that some may be concerned with. The first is the mattresses are very firm. A thick pillow topper maybe an accessory for some guest. The second is the access road to the cabin is quite steep (varying 8 to 10 degrees in sections of the gravel road leading to the cabin) some sections is paved but transitions to gravel. A four wheel drive is a must in the winter months. The last thing is the Cameras. Yes, there are a total of 8 cameras covering the every angle of the property. Some facing outward and inward towards the Parking Area. One of the cameras facing the parking area is a Game Camera. There are two cameras facing the fire pit area (one on the lower level and one on the upper area). I believe in security and the rights of the property owners to monitor their investment but I believe this is over the top. Some people may disagree. Overall, this is a beautiful property but may not appeal to others based on these items.
