Red Door cabin- romantic getaway near Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Excellent location for a quiet getaway. Loved the hot tub!

Clean cabin, great location next to the smoky mountains

The mattress was a little to firm for us.

The cabin was clean and perfect for our family of 4. The bed was so comfortable and the pull-out couch was not bad at all for a pull-out. The cabin is close to many activities such as tubing, cave tour, Smokey Mtn. National Park, etc. Would highly recommend.

We drove past the driveway the first time. It is pretty steep. But the cabin is fantastic and walking distance to restaurants. It’s very peaceful and private. Nicely decorated. Had a bear crossing the driveway first day there. It was a wonderful experience and will definitely book again if we plan another getaway.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. The cabin was clean and had a great view.

We love staying at the Red Door Cabin. This is our second time in a year. It's the perfect size for two people. Anthony is attentive and responsive. The house is clean and in a perfect location for events or sightseeing around the Townsend area. We will surely be back again.

The cabin was beautiful and had the lovely amenity that was the hot tub. Had to leave early for a family emergency but will definitely book again in the future!

We had so much fun! The red door cabin was absolutely precious! The perfect amount of space for our weekend away. The views off both the front and back porch are gorgeous! The home was equipped with everything we could think of. The shower is so pretty and spacious! We plan on returning at least once a season!

I’ve stayed at their property next to this one before so I knew what to expect, it was amazing. Property was clean and had ample towels, etc… Hot tub was clean and kept its temperature. Location to Townsend and the Smokies is perfect. Prompt communication with the host.

Perfect size for just 2!

The cabin is very nice for a one room cabin. We found the cabin very clean except for the stairs and front porch which were not swept. The bath was nice enough but the shower floor is somewhat uneven due to the style, (Pebble’s/rock), and the towels were not soft but were rather stiff. The location of the sofa doesn’t lend itself to sitting and watching the TV which wasn’t an issue for us but might be for someone who wants to sit and watch TV. We found the bed uncomfortable and had a hard time falling asleep. The sheets were rather course and scratchy. The mattress was too firm for us. Also the bedside lamps are turned on with a rocker switch, on the cord, and it is on the floor. So to turn on the lamps you have to get out of the bed which can be inconvenient. We were supposed to stay for two nights but actually decided to come on home a day early after spending the day in the Cove. The owner has been very easy to deal with and was very responsive to all of our pre-trip communications. We would not want to rent this particular unit again.

Absolutely loved staying at this cabin! It was very clean and really nice. The area around the cabin was nice too. I really loved being surrounded by all the trees. And I know I'm crazy but there was moss right by the back porch that looked so soft that I had to climb over the rail to lay on it! I just breathed in the fresh air and relaxed.Just a note, you can see 2 cabins from the front porch and the fire pit area. The fire pit is sort of close to another cabin's driveway but it was not an issue for us and we barely saw our neighbors. You can only see the forest from the back porch, but there's not a ton of space to hang out back there because of the hot tub and the fact that the cabin is built on a slope. We still felt very isolated in spite of that even though the cabin is less than 10 min from Townsend.The only con was that I wish we had been told that lawn services would be around the cabin during our stay. We would have arranged our outings differently if we had known when the lawn was getting mowed.

We loved our cabin! Was very well kept and in a great location. Only complaint is the shower floor, the rocks are a little uncomfortable. Would book again!!

The cabin was easy to get to, felt rural, but was actually only 25 minutes to Pigeon Forge for dinner, and of course plenty of restaurants in Townsend as well. Very clean, thoughtfully designed and furnished. The hot tub was hot and ready for us, and we enjoyed that after a day in the park. Our host communicated with us as needed. We would recommend this place and plan to come back again.

The Red Door is perfectly appointed for a couple visiting the Townsend area. The location puts you in the middle of everything and plenty of flat parking. This was our 3rd stay at the colored doors and have enjoyed all of them. Comfy beds, steamy hot tub, and overall peace and quiet! We couldn’t have asked for a better cabin for our trip!

Clean and had all the essentials needed. Bathroom was tiny but overall it’s a great place to lay down your head and sleep after a long day in the mountains!

Great cozy cabin for the husband and I to enjoy a weekend away and the Townsend Balloon Festival! Conveniently located to restaurants and plenty of beautiful mountain scenery! Easy check in. Wifi great! Comfortable bed and jacuzzi to rest and relax.

We loved the cabin. Because of a flight delay we arrived very late and it was very dark. We had directions but better signage would’ve helped us better locate the cabin. We went to the wrong one first. We loved coming back to the quiet cabin after a busy day in the park. Would certainly recommend this place to others coming to the area.

The Red Door cabin was just what we needed for a weekend away. Sitting on the front porch drinking coffee in the morning was the best way to start a day. The sound of rain on the tin roof was very relaxing. The location was fantastic. I would stay here again.

Cabin was close the GSNP entrance so that was really nice. Nice little town away from hustle and bustle but easy to get to the parkway for an evening out. Cabin was cute and cozy and had everything we needed.

I booked this cabin to celebrate my wife and my ten year wedding anniversary we enjoyed how close to town the cabin was but also felt secluded. The cabin was very clean and very well maintained. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at this little cabin in Townsend for an extended weekend. It was close to the main road. It was easy to find. It was the perfect size for the two of us. Everything was clean. We would definitely recommend it to any couple for the perfect little getaway.

Maybe put a colored flag at the end of the driveway in order to find the driveway at night.

Was a neat place 400 sq ft one room log cabin in laid back Townsend TN It is a neat little place and would highly recommend it.

Nice little cabin in a convenient location. The cleaning could have been more thorough. Broom and tote thrown in a corner didn’t look good at all and could have been stored better. Some cords and jumbled mess beside the fireplace. Should come up with a way to hide that and make the small room look more tiddy. We had a 15 minute battle with the blinds that wouldn’t completely close and ended up covering them with pillow cases and blankets. I wasn’t happy about that. Overall a nice stay. We were able to go to surrounding areas easily so location was super convenient.

We wanted go get away to bring in the new years and this little cozy spot was perfect. It was a little confusing finding the cabin because apple maps did not match up just right but after reading instructions from host we found it! Everything was nice and clean, The shower was cute, we had everything we needed to cook dinner, and the hot was the cherry on top. 10/10 recommend!

We love the Peaceful Side of the Smokies, and this cabin is our go-to place. Perfect for our small group and everything is just how we like it!

My husband and I rented the Red Door cabin for a much needed getaway. It was very easy to find. Right off the main road in Townsend. It is surrounded by woods and includes rocking chairs on the porch, a firepit, and grill. It is close enough to Wears Valley, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg, yet away from all the bustle and busyness. The cabin was very clean, had all the needed amenities. The hottub was great! The owner was very responsive to any messages. We hope to be back soon! A perfect place for couples or small families. Don't forget to go see Cades Cove too! and and Gatlinburg, yet still away from

The cabin is very secluded yet very convenient to Townsend. It's just minutes to the Parkway.

The property was exactly as described - an adorable cabin in a lovely wooded area close to the park. This was out first time to Townsend and the town did not disappoint. Lots of great little restaurants, coffee shops and a distillery that has live music. The cabin was a perfect place to come relax after a day of hiking with a peaceful front porch and a hot tub out back. We had a slight issue with the HVAC system going haywire and the owners could not have been more responsive and moved us to the yellow door cabin which was equally as charming. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway.

Was clean easy to find. Close to everything

I stayed for a week to visit my children who moved to Townsend. Never had to communicate with owner as all spelled out and easy to follow. I cooked all my breakfasts there - only tiny improvement would be a good non stick pan and some salt and pepper in cabinet. Overall very high marks.

Cozy cabin, comfortable, clean. In the woods but two minutes to main road. There are two other cabins but adequate privacy. I cooked for myself and had all the kitchen supplies I needed.Very convenient to Townsend restaurants and stores, as well as Cades Cove. I would definitely return.
