We enjoyed a long weekend in this secluded, spacious and nicely decorated cabin. There is a full kitchen to make your own meals and the working gas grill was greatly appreciated. You k ow those can be a gamble. We made good use of the wraparound porch to eat meals, look at the stars and talk with the cows. Yes, the cows may stroll through the yard! The host is welcoming and took us to feed the horses. The driveway is steep but you will make it if you take your time. This is a wonderful getaway!!!

This cabin was beautiful inside and out! Wasn't expecting this weekend to start with a bang! When we arrived to the cabin, we seen a thick gravel road leading to the cabin we thought wasn't a big deal. We was definitely underestimating. The mountain was kinda steep and still a gravel road but it turned into a newish gravel and my fwd got stuck. With being stuck for about 10mins my wife and I finally got out and made it to the cabin safely. After we got to the cabin we had collected ourselves thinking what a way to start our mini vacation, got unpacked and started getting hungry so we went out for a bite to eat. After talking/thinking about it we have decided to park down the mountain and walk instead of potentially getting stuck again. Mind you as I was stuck i did call the owner(Mr jim) but didn't answer so I left a voicemail to let him know about the situation. We had a great weekend to the best of our abilities and checked out Monday morning. As we walk down the mountain with our luggage Mr. Jim spotted us and gave me a ride with his side by side. Mr. Jim is very sweet person and will bend over backwards to accommodate what your needs are. After he heard what had happened he went out and packed the new gravel down tight for other guests that might stay including myself. After he brought us to the car Monday morning, to make it up/make it right he gave us some meat from his farm store that is located around the corner from the cabin. Mr jim made my eventful weekend getaway into a great story. If we are in the area again definitely will stay but with a 4x4. Thank you Mr jim

Amazing time away from reality. Such a beautiful quiet little spot. Gravel drive is rough but to be expected on a working farm. Our favorite part was feeding and loving on splash and precious (horses). Highly highly recommend this little getaway.

Beautiful, clean cabin. On a working farm, but private up on a hill. Driveway is a bit rough, but not a problem.

The cabin is perfect in every way. The owner texted me before check in letting me know everything was ready, making sure I had the gate code and good directions to the cabin. The next day the owner found out I had an issue with my car trailer. He asked what do I need and what can he help with to fix it. I highly recommend staying here.

My boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to go over Labor Day weekend to get away and relax and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect place! It was the most beautiful cabin with the most fun little detailed decorations! Every day we would notice some other thoughtful little touch that they put. We enjoyed sitting on both sides of the cabin and walking around the farm with our miniature schnauzer and were amazed at just how quiet and serene it was. We met Farmer Jimmy & really enjoyed learning about the farm & animals, but the cabin is isolated at the top of a hill and we felt so much privacy. The road up was the only thing that was slightly scary to go up as it is steep and narrow - was happy to have AWD & a mini SUV with ground clearance to get up there! Our absolute favorite part was waking up the one morning to a front yard full of cows! Jimmy had asked us when we got there if we wanted him to section them off so they didn’t come up there, but I’m so glad we didn’t as we sat for hours watching them and even having them come up to us for a pet! The view of the stars without light pollution on the nights that weren’t cloudy were breathtaking! Downtown Berea was only about 20 minutes away for grocery shopping and we also went to nearby Pinnacle hiking trails, which were tough, but totally worth the hike to the top for the view (but glad we did NOT bring our dog)! We were sad that there store had gotten sold out of everything before the holiday weekend. We never usually visit a place more than once, but we are already checking our schedules to plan a second visit!

This was the ? time we stayed at this place. We have never vacationed at the same place twice before, but we had to come back to the Highview Farms Cabin. This place is fantastic. So completely comfortable! This year was even better than last year. I love the recliner! There was even more cooking utensils and pots than before. Just about anything that you could need. We gifted the cabin with a new set of white china plates, pasta bowls, and dessert plates when we left. The hosts are absolutely wonderful, and have opened a small produce and meat store just down the road. So convenient!Really great place to stay.
