Quiet cabin located in the Douglas Lake Resort

Got there. Master light did not work. Refrigerator leaked water all over the floor. Did not have any hot water. Arrived Thursday at 4:00. Did not receive hot water until Saturday at noon even though I told them about the hot water Friday morning about 8:00 a.m. The master bedroom mattress was horrible. Hot tub was cool. Disappointed

Wonderful place to stay. Very private and quiet. Was clean and plenty of room.

After a busy week of people-ing this was just what we needed.

ProsLocation, quiet, great porch, enclosed for dogs. Kitchen had everything needed for fixing meals. Nicely decorated, comfy LR furniture. Dog bowls, crates were an awesome addition. ConsFront BR comfy mattress but couldn't sleep from lights outside. Back BR mattress hard as a rock but less light pollution, perfectly dark when porch string lights were unplugged. Both rooms need blackout shades or drapes. Picnic table in the tree/bush was useless.

The bathrooms were not clean. And for what they charge for a cleaning fee you should not have to take your own trash.

One of the beds had hair and was not clean we had to wash the sheets other than that great stay

The cabin and the hot tub was fabulous. My only caution is that the listing gives you the impression that the cabin is on the lake and it is not.

Very peaceful property!! We enjoyed our stay very much! Very dog friendly! They have a dog bed in the living area which my dog enjoyed cause it was just like hers!

This is year 5 that we have spent at the cabin. Love the cabin and its location. We already booked for next year's spring break!

Cozy and very quiet and peaceful.

This is my second time back at the doghouse. I took my boyfriend and our working German Shepherd, Firefly. The cabin really does feel like a home away from home and we had everything we needed. We loved the hot tub and the porch. It’s also in a perfect area for everything we wanted to do!

Us being handicap it was difficult to get to the cabin to carry everything up the stairs. The toilet n shower were not accessible for either of us.

We had a lovely stay. Everything was clean and welcoming.

Host was very friendly, we stayed there for our anniversary and it was very nice. Seen a lot of wildlife and you have plenty of privacy.

Great place to stay. Clean cabin and well furnished. We have stayed here at least 5 years.

If you are looking for a remote, quiet and cozy cabin this is it. If you are looking for something close to the hustle and bustle of the area, look elsewhere. If you are afraid of heights and/or hate small, winding roads this is also not the place for you. Overall, it was great and about 30 mins from most of the activities Sevierville has to offer. Pictures were accurate and the host offers a stack of games for family friendly fun. Although we did not bring our pets, the cabin is definitely set up for pet comforts as well as human.

We loved staying at the cabin. We got this one for the fireplace, hot tub, and dog friendly place. The place did not disappoint. The kitchen was big enough to cook in comfortably as well.

As advertised, Debbie was great….Sadly we were a week early for the leafs changing, but everything was still beautiful….

We had a great experience with this Cabin! We were able to see lots of wildlife, and have a relaxing time. The only negative part was when we tried to use the kitchen the dishes/pans/coffee maker were left with old food/coffee so it was less than ideal. We will definitely be returning!

It was more than we expected. We absolutely loved being there. What we liked was that it wasn’t overcrowded with cabins like a lot of places that we looked at. It was a perfect layout for my mother with her age and health. It felt very comfortable, homey & cozy. We would love to be able to come back and stay again in the future.

Douglas Lake and Sevierville were great. Would like to visit again when we could spend time at the lake. Reasonable distance to Gatlinburg and the national park.

Nice cabin in a secluded location. Cabin was as advertised with adequate room and nice that it was pet friendly. Accessible to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Only negative was the hot tub was broken so we weren't able to use it at all on our trip.

I am tempted to leave a bad review to keep this amazing cabin to ourselves!! This cabin was absolutely wonderful!! Plenty of room, clean, and inviting! Debbie was wonderful to work with. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Pigeon Forge and almost an hour to Gatlinburg.

Beautiful cabin in a very quiet area. We enjoyed grilling out and eating on the gorgeous deck and playing board games with the kids before bed

The cabin was beautiful and spacious. We enjoyed being 30-45 mins away from the chaos. Cabin was stocked with everything we needed. The hot tub on the deck was amazing every night. Our only downside was that the cabin could use a good deep cleaning I dont want to deter anyone from staying here because we enjoyed it. Everything was surface clean for the most part. There is just layers of dust and dirt between the wall and bathroom vanity. When we arrived there were pizza boxes shoved inbetween the fridge and kitchen cabinets from prior guests. My husband found part of a cigar in the armchair. As I was unpacking my bag, I stepped on a penny underneath the bed. Also, the bathroom shower was so clogged that the water was reaching my ankles by the time I was done. My husband used a plunger and some draino to fix it.

We loved the cabin! It is so clean and comfortable that we hope to come back again sometime. They have everything (and then some) that anyone could need. The owners are very clear about what they expect at check-out which is really helpful. We only wondered about leaving the mattress pads on the beds - we hope that they are also washed between guests. ??There is so much to do in the area, but still not congested as are other towns (ie: Gatlinburg)so it is easy to stay in or go into town for a good meal, shopping or entertainment.

5 years of staying at Dog House in the Smokies and it is still just an amazing beautiful place to stay. Peaceful location, comfortable and clean. Mrs. Debbie is wonderful to work with.

Beautiful area and we liked that it was basically a private road. It was a very quiet area. Would have liked to have had a plug for the sink. We never had enough dishes for the dishwasher so all was hand washed. The beds were quite comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. There was slight leak from the large window when it rained and blew hard but contacted the owner and she was quick to respond.

This was a great cabin and the host was incredibly informative, friendly and easy to work with. I would recommend staying at this cabin.

Wonderful place would of liked to stay by longer

The cabin location is very peaceful. Your dogs will love it to! The owners have thought of everything to make you and your pets welcome! It is very clean and has everything you need for your vacation. It’s not too far from Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge as we went to both towns for entertainment and dining. We would definitely stay in this cabin again.

The cabin is in a quiet location on a street with only two other homes. When we arrived we found it spotless. They have provided everything ypu need in the kitchen home during your stay.and bathroom to make this yr

This property is wonderful. This is the second time I have stayed at this property. It is a bit out but perfect. Quiet area for us!! Nice get away from the hustle and bustle. Pet friendly as well. Thanks for a great visit with family!!

Went with my husband and mom to do some sightseeing and shopping in Smoky Mountains. I have always wanted to go there at Christmas to see all the decorations and festivities they have there and it definitely did not disappoint! We all had a wonderful time!

Very pet-friendly, super-clean and tidy. Our miniature Dachshund enjoyed our stay almost as much as we did. Great place, very good owner- helpful and their pride of ownership shows in every detail of their property.

We loved it. Just far enough away from the crowd but still close enough to drive to things we wanted to do. And the cabin was beautiful.

The cabin is in the perfect location. We were close to the popular Dollywood and secluded enough to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
