This cabin is our most quaint private cabin, ideal for a couple or solo traveler. This quaint and cozy cabin is yours entirely with the Wash Hut right next door offering hot showers and indoor plumbing. This is the most picturesque cabin on the property, and it is perfectly situated just feet from Bear Creek Pond and Bear Creek itself. From the time you arrive, you'll feel like a part of Alaskan history.



The space

Perfectly set apart from the rest of the world, the cabin is your complete getaway from the noise of daily life. The cabin is one of 8 unique cabins at this place in historic Hope, Alaska. The home gives a feel that there is nothing and no one else in the world. Just the necessities - a comfortable and warm bed, a fireplace and electric heater, and a table with chairs. The cabin also has a private deck, which overlooks both Bear Creek and Bear Creek Pond. The Wash Hut is right next door with hot showers and indoor plumbing. Dirty Skillet, the lodge's on-site restaurant, is next door serving up hearty, heaping and home-cooked style meals that you'll long remember. Come get away from it all here in the cabin, your own private Alaskan log cabin.



Guest access

The entire 8 acres is open to our guests. Our property borders the borough land with hundreds more acres of amazing hiking and exploring, all ending at the mouth of the ocean, so it's impossible to lose your way.



Our guests will also have free access to Bear Creek Pond, our private body of water, with peddle boat and canoe access. We provide life jackets for all guests.



Be sure to bring your camera! This property is a photographer's dream with beautiful sites and quirky touches all throughout.



Other things to note

WiFi is available in the lodge’s restaurant and right next door.



We'll stock your cabin with wood enough to start a warm fire, if the evening calls for extra heat.



This is a “dry cabin” with no indoor plumbing. The shared Wash Hut is next door with hot showers and indoor toilets.



Once you book, we will text you with a confirmation. Within 2 days of arrival, you will receive another text with information on how to expedite your check-in process. The link texted will include information on the latest WiFi password, shower code access, hours of the lodge and restaurant, how to get extra towels, and information on check-in.
