Cabin was all it said it would be and more. It was a great stay for our family. Communication with owner was also top notch. I would recommend this cabin to anyone.

We absolutely loved the cabin! Stan was super easy to get ahold of if we needed anything. The cabin was more than enough room for my husband and I plus our four kids. The kids loved the game room, pool table and the hot tub. The beds were super comfy. The only thing my husband didnt like was the mountain roads and thats just his own personal fear so I drove the whole week we were down there!

Very secluded. Nice trek way up in the mountains. Had everything we needed. We saw turkeys everyday. Nice and relaxing. Stan and Faith were very accommodating.

The cabin was nice. The hot tub was musty and murky. The owners were very nice. It was a nice little cabin. Our issue was the drive in. The road goes down to a 1 lane steep mountain road. If someone was coming the other direction I have no idea what we would have done. There is no place to pull over. Definitely wouldn’t find the place in the dark. It was the scariest drive of our lives!!! We never left because of the roads until we checked out.

You will not regret renting this cabin. Circumstances beyond our control forced me to scramble and find another cabin for my family’s vacation after we got in town. A quick search led me to find this cabin. I can’t tell you how much I wish I had found this cabin to begin with when I planned my vacation. It’s an amazing property. The host was amazing right from the start of the process. His communication was excellent and almost always immediate. He provided well thought out lists and recommendations for outings, restaurants and entertainment. It was obvious he genuinely cared about our experience and was willing to do whatever to make it great.The cabin is beautiful. The furniture is not old leftovers, but quality and clean. The entire place was spotless. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, utensils, cooking/baking implements and other things you need to make your stay enjoyable. The linens, bedding, towels, etc. are very nice. The pictures don’t do this place justice.We even got entertained by a momma bear and her cubs while we were there! Got great pictures and videos to keep great memories.Bottom line, this is a great property and a wonderful host. We’ve already recommended this place to friends. If we’re ever back in Gatlinburg, this is definitely where we’ll be staying.

Lots of privacy. The trees between all the cabins in the area was enough that you couldn't see any neighbors. It was very quiet and relaxing. We saw 6 different black bears while we were visiting, including a mom and 2 cubs. We would absolutely stay here here again.

This is a beautiful cabin. My daughter and I was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Everything was clean and the owner Stan checked on us our first day to make sure everything was ok. The hot tub was wonderful and there are 3 different porches to enjoy. We would 100% stay again

Great for family get away

My family had a wonderful vacation here. The cabin was exactly as pictured and very comfortable. It it not a far drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We had a bear on our last day foraging im the woods and it was so exciting to see!Stan was always ready to answer any questions and very helpful!

A very nice cabin with a lot of amenities! I took my 2 sons for a little getaway. We enjoyed a movie each evening in the theater area. The hot tub along with the setting was so relaxing. The pool table and arcade game got a lot of use as well. The owner was very accessable and there to help. The only thing I would make people aware of is that you need to be a very confident driver and know your vehicle very well to get to it as the roads are really only one lane with limited visibility over the peaks and around the bends with a real risk if you go astray from the pavement at all. A smaller suv like a Wrangler would be ideal. This is the case with the nature of having cabins in the mountains, not just this particular one.

Cabin was lovely and had everything we needed. It is a perfect setup for families. Separate areas for entertainment and very spacious. Super close and easy access to everything in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The host was very easy to reach and helpful. Will stay again next time we visit the area!

Very cozy cabin with nice views and amenities anyone would be pleased

This was the cutest cabin ever! Nestled in the trees, just as they were beginning to change. The cabin is perfect for a family, two couples or just a husband & wife getaway. The upstairs bedroom has an en-suite bath, which was a nice surprise! The hosts were **amazing** to work with and answered all of my questions beforehand, so I’d know what we needed to bring, which was nothing. The cabin is stocked with everything you’d need. The location is great. You are close to everything, and can get there easily. I highly recommend this cabin!!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and immaculate! Our boys loved the game room/theatre room! This cabin was a short drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! Excellent location. Stan, was absolutely amazing to work with. He responded quickly if i had a question and was so kind. He checked in with us a couple of times to make sure everything was ok and to see if we needed anything! Top notch hospitality! Highly recommend staying at this cabin!

We really enjoyed the property. It was private and wooded. Game room and hot tub were great. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a great cabin for our family. Tucked away but close enough to everything we needed. The host checked in on us and was very responsive.

Very nice and clean cabin...We enjoyed everything in it...The bed was so comfortable...This was the 1st time we took our Daughter and she had a blast and wasn't ready to go...Stan was awesome as well...he made our stay very pleasant...We can't wait to visit again soon

1st need to know is the driveway is very awkward and could be dangerous. Although Stan did check in daily, we had 2 emergency situations and no way of getting a hold of him at night. Our first night there, there was a strong gas smell from the fireplace (was not lit or being used) it became very strong to the point we were concerned with going to sleep. There are CO2 and smoke alarms but it was still very concerning. Our last night we got back around 11pm after a long day of enjoying time out and about and the battery was dead on the door lock which meant we were locked out of the cabin. Again tried calling more than a dozen times over and over with no answer! We were finally able to gimme our way in. Over all the cabin itself was fine, nice gaming area but the decks were dirty. Leaves covering every chair and table which made it unusable until cleaning it ourselves, I understand it’s in the woods with lots of trees but it would seem it had t been swept or wiped down in quite awhile. Having a number for emergencies should be required. Not sure what we would have done if we couldn’t have gotten in. We were there with our 11yr old and 2 (1)older kids. So a total of 6. Beds were fine, pull out beds uncomfortable (as expected) with springs poking out on the downstairs one. Thankfully we brought an air mattress incase the pull out beds were uncomfortable.

Very clean and comfortable. Perfect for our trip with our 14 year old grandson. He loved having his own space on his own floor. Stan thought of everything we might need and it was very easy to communicate with him. Location was beautiful and peaceful and close to all attractions.We would surely recommend staying here for your Smoky Mountain vacation.

Cabin was great. Was hoping for a better view from the decks. Roads were a bit nerve wracking but to be expected given the location.

This cabin was awesome!! There was plenty of space for my family of 4 and plenty of entertainment for the kids. The cabin was beautiful, the area was amazing and we even saw a bear during our stay. Would definitely recommend this cabin.

The cabin is very nice and includes a lot of things to do when you aren't out enjoying the surrounding area, including arcade games, a pool table, foosball, and more. It is close to the end of a road so there isn't any real traffic or noise to speak of, a few other cabins around but its very quiet. The owner is great, very helpful and checked in to make sure everything was going ok with the cabin.

The cabin itself was beautiful & even though it wasnt completely secluded, it felt like it. No other cabins to close! The downstairs game room & theater were just a plus & gave us plenty to do to keep entertained! We felt welcomed & right at home! Entry and communication with the hosts was a breeze and so easy! I will book this cabin again forsure! We loved it!

Nice cabin. All amenities featured worked as advertised. The jacuzzi was a big hit. Cabin is kind of in between pigeon forge and Gatlinburg so youre close to both. Its far enough off the main road to feel secluded but close enough you don't have to drive forever just to get somewhere, or face a long drive back after a fun filled day. We can definitely see ourselves coming back for a longer stay,.

From the moment we walked in the door we were in awe of this property. There was a ton of stuff to keep everyone busy and it was a great location. Will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. With ages ranging from 2-50, we were all entertained. There is so much to do within the cabin, we had to make ourselves leave. We were there for Christmas and were so grateful the owners decorated and had a tree up, allowing the magic of Christmas to happen. The owner was extremely attentive and helpful when needed. I would stay there again and recommend this cabin to everyone.

We had a lovely time at Stan’s cabin! He was very prompt to answer any questions we had. Check in was simple and the cabin was perfect for our family. The driveway is a little steep and kind of hard to back down, so make sure you have an experienced driver doing that part! We saw best right down from the cabin and enjoyed the hot tub every day! Great place!

Our family really enjoyed our time at Higher Expectations. The cabin was well-stocked, and exactly as presented in the listing. We ran into a couple of small glitches, but Stan was extremely responsive and got everything squared away for us ASAP. He made the check-in process extremely easy. The location is beautiful, and we felt we were in the woods yet relatively close to town and activities, including Dollywood. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Stan!

Shorter trip for our kids fall break. Place is just as described. It’s in a neighborhood but is very secluded by the neighborhood layout and vegetation. Couldn’t see any other properties from the back deck. Found hair in both showers when we arrived which grossed my girls out a little but we got past it. Beds are comfy and the game room is awesome! But I would say The best feature was the owner, Stan. Great guy and very communicative. Hot tub was in sleep mode and cold when we arrived. I texted Stan and he called immediately to walk me through how to get it going and it was hot by the evening. Really top notch service. Checked on us a couple more times throughout the trip to make sure we didn’t need anything. Would definitely stay here again.

Was a great cabin.

This place was amazing! When your 10 year old says there isn’t another more perfect cabin you know it’s good! Stan would check in and make sure we were doing good and if anything was needed. Highly recommend and will be coming back!
