We can’t wait to come back! The real life experience was exactly as described in the listing….although no picture will do the views justice. What I would give to regularly enjoy my coffee sitting in that backyard and a glass of wine at sunset. Just incredible. This cabin is perfect for a retreat that is peaceful and relaxing. It’s ideal to cook your meals in the cabin. About 40minutes in each direction is something wonderful to see/do. We enjoyed lunch at the Little Switzerland Cafe (get the Reuben). It’s a wild ride up the mountain there. Some of the area is still recovering from Hurricane Helene, for example, Crabtree Falls is closed as with that portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway. However, a close hiking option is Tom’s Creek; pretty and on the easier side. Our favorite was Linville Falls trail as well as Linville Winery. We also were just an hour drive from The Biltmore, which is a must visit once in your life. The cabin was clean and well stocked with the basics. This host goes above and has a stocked coffee bar and fire pit necessities. Just a note it is a charcoal grill. Driveway is very steep. Beds were comfy and the towels actually absorbed water. The host went above and beyond to communicate and make sure our stay was perfect. Has a digital guidebook that is very helpful. I repeat, we can’t wait to go back!

Cabin was first class beautifully decorated. The magnificint view was always changing. The Biltmore Mansion was all decorated for the Hoildays.Visited several winerys. We will indeed return. Great, clean cabin with an amazing view! Very cozy home that was welcoming the minute we stepped in the door. Well stocked kitchen with everything needed to prepare a meal. Plenty of towels in all bathrooms. Very cool downstairs area with air hockey, table to play games, and big screen TV. Would highly recommend! Note...only one star for skiing because we did not ski and VRBO makes you put a rating in.

We visited Marion for our boys to attend Big League Baseball Camp and booked this beautiful home last minute after finding it online. We chose it over a hotel to turn the trip into a relaxing mountain getaway—and we’re so glad we did!The home was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host provided a helpful guidebook that made everything easy to navigate. A special touch we appreciated was finding items for s’mores waiting for us on the counter. After long days at camp, the boys loved roasting them and winding down by the fire.We also brought along our 3-year-old daughter and took a day trip to The Orchard at Altapass, just a scenic 30-minute drive away. She had a great time picking apples—it was a perfect family outing.The driveway is steep, but the host clearly communicated that ahead of time, so we were well prepared. One night we had pizza delivered from Titan Pizza Plus—highly recommend if you want to stay in and enjoy the home, it was delicious!Overall, this was a fantastic stay. It was a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and mountain charm. We’d definitely stay here again!

The view is stunning!! We kept rushing back home to sit outside and enjoy the view!! Michael was amazing w his communication and always responded immediately! The house was just as described. Plenty of room for 3 generations to meet and spend a weekend. Marion has places to eat and Asheville is an easy 40 min drive. I’d recommend driving an suv to get up and down the driveway. Lots of out door areas to sit and enjoy the view!! View from inside was amazing too! Just can’t say enough good things about this home!

Wonderful, secluded cabin with amazing view. Loved the firepit and jacuzzi tub. Had everything we needed. The driveway is very steep but had no problem in my Camry getting up it in September. Would probably need awd if weather was wintry. Would love to return in the future!!

The cabin is beautiful. We were a little concerned about the driveway and did not venture out. We did enjoy lunch at the wing restaurant in Marion.

The home was spotless, comfortable, and set in a peaceful location. The porch views were incredible—we captured some beautiful moments right from there. Michael was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. A great place to slow down, enjoy nature, and truly recharge.

We have now visited this amazing place six times now, and for good reason. We all love coming here for the views, the fire pit, the seclusion, the thoughtful touches, and of course, the air hockey. The owner does a phenomenal job of upkeep and upgrades. The cabin itself is our dream cabin (maybe someday!), with the perfect layout, and perfect view. I personally just sit and stare, which is rare for me, but I just want to take it in. The cabin is a short distance to great restaurants & desserts, and of course hiking. We are looking forward to our next visit!

The house and our stay were both amazing! This was such a relaxing place to stay with our two families, both with young children, age 2-4. We got to enjoy the mountain views directly from the main living area as we cooked and relaxed in the main living area. Everything was very clean and the host provided extremely clear information about the home and the surrounding area. Overall excellent weekend!

We had an awesome time at this house and the host was fantastic. The view is amazing and the home has everything you might need (even smores ingredients!). The outdoor area is great for relaxing and there is plenty of comfortable seating on the inside as well. My friends and I are already discussing having a longer trip to the area so we can stay in this house again! (I will mention that the driveway is so steep it feels like you are going up the hill on a roller coaster, but that only adds to the feeling of being secluded!)

This cabin was absolutely breathtaking, and the views were even more breathtaking. The cabin was so clean, and had all the necessities in the kitchen and even for the wonderful grill outside. There was plenty of firewood available for the beautiful firepit outside. Any questions were very quickly answered by the owner. My family and I had the best time staying in this cabin. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful visit in in Marion and surrounding towns for a spring break stay. Michael gave us tips on local playgrounds and fun things for our kids to see. The cabin was awesome and perfect for our stay - we are already looking at dates so we can return!

The stay was absolutely perfect. We had stayed here for a weekend fire school in McDowell County. This property was great for all members to come back, relax, enjoy the views and reflect on the day members had at class. Would HIGHLY recommend for anyone. We stayed on a business trip I guess you could say, If your staying for leisure then this is the spot! We hope to be back in the future.

Lovely place. Well maintained and clean. Breathtaking mountain views. The outdoor seating areas are perfectly situated so that you can take in the scenery. It's also close to town. Michael was wonderful, quick to respond, and had everything laid out perfectly. Our group had a great time celebrating the New Year at this lovely cabin.

This is the most beautiful Cabin we have stayed. Espectacular views of the Appalachian mountains. Seclude, clean, cozy, full equipped kitchen. Host Michael was very attentive. We will definitely recommend Dream Cabin to everyone. We had a blast and we will comeback.

This cabin has all you want if you want a relaxing weekend. Fantastic outdoor firepit with amazing views, quiet scenery, secluded and very nice vibes inside with the indoor fireplace as well. Highly recommend for those wanting to take a breather!

This property has a nice view of Mt Mitchell. It's spacious enough for a family of 7. We had 4. Pros: The view, stocked up kitchen with cooking essentials, plenty of firewood to use, nice TV/game room although the air hockey table is falling apart. Cons: Not for older people or anyone who have a hard time getting up and down the stairs. Had a water leak/drips from the shower from the top floor. This appears to be a known issues based on the stains. I reported it to the owner. No hot tub (even the amenity sections indicated there was one)

The cabin was gorgeous and very clean. The property was perfect. The driveway was vary steep but even in our Mustangs we were able to get up to the top. The property owner was very nice and helpful with any questions. We plan on coming back soon!

Clean cabin with gorgeous views! Cabin owner was wonderful! Quick to respond via email and texts. Allowed to stay in cabin a few hours longer than check out time due to Helene shelter in place orders. He made sure safety was the priority!
